Called me on Sept 24 but left no message on my cell phone. Didn't want to record his scam I suppose.

I got a call, (on my cell phone) approx. two weeks ago from a man asking for a contribution of $30.00 for the Fla. State Police. I told him to send me info on the cause, and I would consider it. He then asked for $20.00, I again asked for info and would check them out on the internet.

I got the envelope and laid it aside as I was preparing to go out of state to visit a family member dying of cancer. While I was out of state, I got a call on my cell, asking why I had not sent my money as promised. I explained That I was out of state on a family medical situation. He became very demanding as if he were collecting a million dollar debt. I explained to him the situation and hung up.

On my way home from the airport, I again received a call, on my cell, from a third person who became very asine with words and denmanding I send in what I had Committed?????

I told him what I thought of him and hung up.

This is private invasion of my cell phone, as well as very deep harrassment for a mere few dollars.

I have lost respect for the State Police for using such houmd dogs, low life people as they are.

This should be reported to the Attorney General, and stopped immediately.

It is for the Florida State Troopers. While I consider this a good cause, there isn't any excuse for rudeness and persistance, then hanging up. They are (rather their 'callers') eager to secure at least a promise of $20.00. Upon agreement to that, they will then and only then, send the envelope and form to submit your donation. A sticker does come with that and information on their association.
I did inquire as to how they got my cell phone number as I'm new to Florida. The gentleman 'danced' around the question and would not reply. But, he has since called approx. 3 times. I do feel that if one explains that they cannot afford even the $20.00 due to finances, they will stop calling...and, possibly just hang up without so much as a 'I understand and thank you anyway.'

These people call my cell constantly and when you do answer are rude and annoying.

He has called wo or three times today (September 23) but left no messages. Mine is a cell phone as well.

407-610-0037 out of Orlando, FL with the Florida Troopers Member Association or something....called my home and was persistent that I promise to contribute at least $20 if he sends me a decal for my car. I told him I wanted more information before promising to contribute.  I told him my Father in Law retired from the Florida State Troopers, and I wanted to talk it over with my husband first to make sure we were not already contributing to them.  The guy still wanted me to promise to personally send them $20.  I told him not until I speak with my husband.  Then he hung up on me.

Call for police booster. I informed him he called a cell phone, and he tried to argue the point until I hung up on him.
