They call constantly and disturb my business with a recording about trying to contact me about a credit card.  When I actually spoke to a person and asked to be removed, he hung up on me.

Call came from Florida to Kansas at 13:17 hours on 1-14-09. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites advise that this is one of  the "last chance to lower interest rate" scams going around.

i get these calls all the time about getting a diff interest rate on my cards.  they call all the time and sometimes even if you answer it hangs up. the reps are rude and hang up on you if you tell them your on the no call list but they call again anyway.  they are annoying!

Here's how you deal with these guys as well as others like them.  When you leave your home simply unplug  your phone at the wall, unless you are expecting a call. Whether you are at home or at your business and if you have caller ID and don't recognize the number, again unplug your phone (while it's ringing) from the wall. The caller will continue to hear your phone ring and after five-seven rings, they or their bot will disconnect.

It's a huge hassle I know, but whether you answer or your voice recording answers, the fact is that they have made a connection and will be encouraged to call again and again and again.

Give it a try and I think you will find that after many tries of their not getting a connection, they will move on to the next victim.

they called three times and was a disconnected number when i phoned back. subsequently found out they belong to same caller as 641-5224134.  they are fundraisers calling from the following real number which i got them to give me  312 589 4700. asked for money for reactionary causes, fighting Obama, and support for religious bigotry.

According to Switchboard.com, this number originates from 2817 Telstar Avenue, Orlando, FL.  The name alleged to be on the account is Roselie LaChapelle.  But it may be that her number has been hijacked by credit card scam artists working from a Visa/MasterCard customer list.  Your information is not well-protected in our cyber age.

They call really close to 9pm and bother the whole household.

just recieved a call from 407-649-9219 got the same recording as ppl said above but when i put the number in to see who it was i got the following:

I usually do not answer calls that come from "Unknown Caller".  However, if I am receiving them over and over, as though they have me on a loop, I now pick up the receiver, don't say a thing, keep the speaker covered,  so they will not even hear breathing from my side.  Then I  just wait until they hang up.  Usually, after doing that a couple of times, I do not ever receive a call from that number again..........nor do I receive one from any number that seems related.   I'm hoping they fear I am putting a track on their number.    Is there a way to do that?    I have been on the DO NOT CALL LIST since it became available.  I wonder how all these junk calls get through ??!?!?!?!!!?

I have been receiving these calls about lowering my interest rates on credit cards, too.  When he asked for my credit card number, I declined and he hung up.  Pretty obvious his intent!  I called the FBI in Memphis to see if they would follow up and they said there are too many of these fraudulent callers/scam artists to pursue.

They ecommended I contact the Federal Trade Commission but their website is so cumbersome, I decided to pass.

Hopefully, not too many uninformed individuals will fall victim to this scam!

I just started receiving calls from this number. I refuse to answer and they don't leave a message. Lately, I've been getting a lot of calls from numbers I don't recognize. If I do answer, it's for someone I've never heard of. I pay my debts on time and usually pay my credit card balances in full each month. So, it can't be a collections agency. And since I rarely carry a balance on my credit cards, I don't need a lower interest rate. If I wanted one, I'd contact my creditor myself. I never give info to companies I didn't contact.

I want to know why the Do Not Call list isnt working.

I'm disabled and refuse to use credit cards period. After these people have called 21 times -- seems like they'd get the clue.

Can we sue these people?

I also am getting calls and I made them mad, so now they have put me into the "call Loop" and I'm getting them 5 -7 times a day.  I have filed complaints with Do Not Call, the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission.  I always answer the call and press one to get the name of the Representative so that I can file with Do Not Call.  Then I inform them that I want my number removed and that I am part of the Do Not Call List and they typically hang up.  Today, however, the man... KEVIN GEORGE said, "Do NOt Call can't touch us you white B#@*%" so I was a bit concerned.  I'm also getting this same call from an international number 5-062-291-1513

these 407 calls range from lowering cc interest, vacations, and vehicle warranty. they are all scams and hoaxes. i don't know why they haven't been caught since they repeatedly violate the do not call law.

I finally got one that did not hang up when I asked the company name.  She said the name is Credit Service and is located in Atlanta, Georgia.  But she would not give a telephone number or address.

Calls for RATE DECREASE on credit card.  They have 0 info, just saying they need to verify the account.  Do I look blonde?  DUH!

i also have zero balance on my credit cards. these people call me repeatedly. i also am signed up with the do not call registry both nationally and with my state. i wished these so called do not call registries would go into action to stop ALL aggravating telemarketing calls.
