What the average person does not know is that United States civil courts are run on the Commercial Code. This is contract law. Therefore, if you do not have an agreement signed by YOU AND a representative from the company or person collecting the money, then you owe them NOTHING because you have no contract with them. End if game. It's one big joke and it works because most people do not know the law.

I have just filed a complaint against them with the BBB.  If everybody did that, maybe we could shut them down.

I received two calls this morning, back to back, within 5 seconds of each other.  How rude!!! She left two messages, and when I called back, she claimed I owed on an apartment I had moved out of 45 days ago. The apartment guy who did the final inspection had said, "Don't worry, I am sure your deposit will cover any expenses." I also had an additional $25. on the account. When I refused to give my SSN, she raised her voice at me, then threatened me stating "Oh well, you will find out about this when we put a negative mark on your credit report". I instantly let my husband know (who had also received two calls from the same # and his name wasn't even on the lease), who told me to write a letter stating it is invalid and to cease and desist.  Also, send a letter to the apartment complex management office.  I immediately did both, and am sending them both out "signature required".  I am also filing complaints with the FTC and the Florida AG office.
I have a credit score of 795. I have worked hard to get it there after being married to a scumbag who ruined my credit. I will be damned if another scumbag is going to come along and ruin it again for me. If I ever hear from them again, either by letter or phone call, I will be contacting an attorney and suing.

Did the same with me, looking for someone I know!  I flat told them I wasn't a good contact, and had no number for the person for months.  Yes, it's illegal calling someone else about such issues.

There is a woman from this company that keeps calling the house.Someone would have-maybe-called her back,except no one can hear what she is saying and half of it sounds like it might be another language.

I just got a call from this number from a guy named Ray Sanchez from 407-895-7100 who said that my niece's boyfriend gave him my number if he ever needed to to get in touch with him!  Really? He expected me to just provide his contact info over the phone wehn I have no idea who he is!  I'm annoyed, not knowing why they have MY number in the first place when my niece has had the same number for YEARS!  soooooo annoyed. They better not call me again.

They have left messages on my home, cell and now work number for my daughter, but have not called HER cell. She's 18 years old, just finished her first year of college and has not incurred any debt to speak of. They never say what debt they're trying to collect or give any details.

This Company called my Mother and this nasty woman named nicole was rude and disrespectful to her and was asking for me and not giving no information about what it was about.  She then hanged up on her. The night before I got a call from a woman at my " job" but we got cut off and now I know it was her. I called today to see what this was all about and it has to do with a lease from an apartment I used to live in and I was forced to move due to job transfer and I did let the office know about it and even gave them a letter informing them of my situation. I just don't understand why this apartment complex has hired this low life company for collection!  They are uneducated people, rude, and even stupid!! Because by law you are not allowed to call peoples job!!  It's called " HARASSMENT" Who knows If I sue I just might be the new Owner of this company and then I will  have the pleasure of firing this so call nicole!!!  Oh by the way my Attorney say I have a case! That was great news for me.

I received a phone call from Lisa Bell in the attempt to collect a debt, I paid half the balance and then discovered she still reported me to the credit bureaus within the same month, for the remainder. She has since called several times all hours of the day requesting the remainder of the debt. She refuses payments only wants full balance due. Every phone call she is rude screaming and threatening the credit bureau and 7 to 10 years. I have since called a lawyer and have informed her I know my rights and she is harassing me and it will not be tolerated. She hung up on me. lol

So, I too have been getting calls from these people. Of course I would ignore the call but at the time I was texting and the next thing I know they were on the other line. The very first thing they asked me was for my last 4 digits of my social security number and without a doubt, I said hold on, went to my Dad and told him who was on the phone and what they asked for. Now my Dad is police officer for the governor and so he told me never to give my Social or bank account info or anything like that over the phone so without doubt again, I hung up. I think on my part that was a smart thing to do. Of course they left a message and of course I am never going to answer them. Then they called again and I didn't answer but that time, when I didn't answer, they called my Dad and he didn't answer and they left a message and said his name wrong. Not only that but when we received mail from them they spelled his name wrong on the envelope but was addressed to us. I'm just taking a wild guess here but if they spell your name wrong, you don't have to do anything right? I need to know how to get rid these people or an email address from these people would be nice so I can email them. Any lawyers out there? I'm a college student and I can barely pay for tuition and the apartments I am with scammed me anyway in my opinion. They told me they would try to help, they didn't, they harassed me about renewing my lease and are still doing that. Where do I file a complaint? Anyway, these people need to leave me and my family the heck alone or I'll just call the governor. End of Story :)

A call came in from 407-895-7100 a few days ago, I asked for the name of business this female was calling from, her response was "it is prohibited by law for me to reveal this information"...end of conversation, click!

Leaving RUDE and UNWANTED statement's

I've received multiple calls from this number harassing me about an apartment I have not been accountable for for over two months. This is a huge scam, do not reveal any personal information!

Report them to the FCC. They will investigate them and fine them for every violation of the FDCPA.  Look up the FDCPA and educate yourselves on how to prosecute them and how to protect yourselves.

I received a call from this same number several times and stated their name was Judge Juarez.  They will use any name to try and scare you.

Nicole left me a message, didn't say her reason for calling or the company she was calling on behalf of. Ill probably answer next phone call I get from them. But from what I've read I need to be pretty rude to get them to even listen.

I was referred to Southern Management Systems by another unethical company - but that's its own story. Long story short the account had been paid in full and closed - SMS had lied about sending correspondences to my address, the collection call (which easily could be fraud) was the first I had heard about a matter that I thought had been resolved. So, instead of paying some unknown, unverified 3rd party I made payment to said, other unethical company, only to receive two harassing calls on the day that SMS had threatened to report the matter on my credit history. Granted said, unethical company with its own issues of accounting had not reported to SMS the matter, although they received payment, in full. There is something very shady about a company that lies about sending correspondences and cuts corners in a legal process, they should not have this much authority. First and foremost I believe they violated federal law by announcing on my voice mail that this was in reference to collecting a debt. As I do vet companies I do business with as best I can, and will pay reasonable/justified debts (this is my first and likely last experience with the shady, rude, unethical and potentially illegal world of debt collectors) - this organization has much to learn, and if they do not confirm to me in writing (who knows if they will) that the account is closed, I will continue to call them to collect what they owe me - confirmation that my account is in good standing.

BEWARE-These are professional scammers! I don't owe anything, and my credit score is over 850....

I intentionally returned the call after work hours ,asked Lisa  to call me back (I used a  fake name and asked her to call me back at the number I provided which was the local FBI office....). I left another message for her playing : Mary had a little lamb".

Aw, she has not called me back, I am so sad.

Same thing here. Girls name was Nicole and she pretty much just went off and hung up...Not sure where they learned these "tactics" but all it did was get them blocked.
