Received a call this morning.

I am from SA - got the same mail, exact wording on Hollywood North from Simon Bateman... Sorry, I think it's a scam....

THIS IS A SCAM PEOPLE I HAVE HAD TO GET THE POLICE INVOLVED BECAUSE OF HIM IF HE CONTACTS YOU REPORT HIM!!!!!!

I have the same problem: Wayne Finch asked me to do a photo shoot but I should pay him 650 pounds for a work permit. I don't know if I should pay this work permit or not. John, do you have a proof that this is NOT a scam?
Any information about the work your daughter has done for Wayne Finch?

Same here, I asked them about how it all go, and he said that everything would be paid(plane, lodging, cost of life) + a 4000 pounds salary, but you had to pay a 1000$ work permit that would be reimbursed once you get there....
meh, let's say I'm not too keen to the whole idea. It's all too quick and to easy. I have no modeling experience and he'd give me all just with a few pictures? Plus he seems to have sent that mauil to a s*** load a people cuz this is the third thread about this I see, only difference is that my email came from a Simon Bateman and I was called, from there US "offices", by a Paul Wheeler. So that's what I know for now, but I don't feel confident enough to give them 1000$ of my money just now...

I too got the call from the 856 number. And I got the same message as everyone else I believe? The one JS has. My mom's client that has been in this industry called them and asked lots of questions. I think it's a total scam now.

I signed up for a website called ModelMayhem. Nearly immediately I received an e-mail from Wayne telling me about a relaunch of the magazine and that they were willing to pay 4000 pounds for 4 days of shooting. The original e-mail went as follows.
Hello there,

"My name is Wayne Finch from Your LondonMagazine,we are looking to relaunch the print so we are looking to add something different by bringing in foreign models plus we are opening the option of also launching in the US.

We are looking to add some flavour to the relaunch of the magazine come so we are looking to hire foreign models from all over for the photoshoot which will commence in London UK on Thursday October 8th 2009.

We are looking to add something special to this photo shoot for the relaunch by bringing together models from different origins and backgrounds,mixing culture,way of life and ideals,and hopefully putting all this qualities into our magazine thereby showing the UK industry the pure beauty every human possess.

The total pay for the 4 day shoot is £4000,we know this is an awkward fee to pay a new model during the recession but we want to send a message to the industry that we are here to stay,once they find out we spent that much they will know we are ready to invest in talents and stay in the industry for a long time,this will show our intended subscribers that their investment in us is safe and secured and more importantly that we are here to stay.

Do get back to me swiftly as we are on a first come first serve basis!

You must be working for them or something!! I got the same email and everything! This time they called me on this number(856) 667-3765! I believe it is to easy!!! He told me there trying to relaunch. But shouldnt they atleast have old pictures or some proof that the magazine actually exsist!!??

You can report it to the fbi or call your local police department and ask them who in your state has the means to track ip addresses. Hope this helps.

Hey busybaby..I just received message on Hollywood North Talent site from info@yourlondonmagazine.us about a modelling job for a shoot in the uk.  I haven't written back yet but I decided to check them out and ended up here.  I think I'm going to ask them some ?s and see if I can shake them up.  If they drop me I'll know they are phony.  I'll get back to you here when I know more.

I was sent an email telling me that they would fly me to the UK for a photo shoot. All they have seen is a headshot, no body shots. Didn't ask for any additional shots. It just seemed very scam-like to me. When I emailed Mr Finch and told him I had found his info online as a suspected scam he ceased all communication. I have also found online that this magazine doesn't exist anymore and no news on a relaunch. Can you email me please at busybaby32@yahoo.com?

I think thats because they just needed headshots,i have a cousin in the UK and everthing looks good!

Thats because they are in the US,they hired my daughter for a shoot and everything is good,NO SCAM here they even sent half of her pay before she left!

Why did you think it was a scam!

I was originally contacted via email to model for yourlondonmagazine in the UK. Initial search found news that this publication has ceased publication. The contact, Wayne Finch (contact@yourlondonmagazine.us), told me that they were trying to relaunch. He was willing to fly me to the UK to model without even seeing a full body shot. That is what tipped me off. He hadn't asked for any money yet but when I kept asking questions he gave me this phone number, which I search and found this site. Sounds like a scam to me. I am not sure who to report this to?

tried to contact my wife, and get her to pay money for a work visa in the uk for a moelling contract, aparantly wont divulge details until we pay the 1000$ but is willing to send her a flight to the UK costing 1300 even before paying.

nslookup of thier server when they speak through email, reveals they are in the US and not in the UK traceroute as well..
