If you have been getting the calls where a person with a thick middle eastern accent calls and in the worst speech says "This is IRS" Not : This is THE irs but instead: "This is IRS" with a super obvious made up name that no guy in India would have...I recommend just totally unloading on him with both barrels. I like to pretend he is a motorist who just ran over a beloved pet. I sometimes make up my own Middle-Eastern accent and repeat what he says back to him. I have invited him to come over to meet me in person. Someone should go to the trouble of finding out who is making the calls -so that all of us who have received the calls can return the favor.

Got call from this number (408-351-6925) on 1/10/2014, posing as IRS (then mentions clearly Internal Revenue Service), with deficiency in our tax return, with allegations and court actions if not cleared etc. The person had a thick accent (similar to South Asian accent), name not clear. Mentions "Do not ignore this message, otherwise.......". I did ignore his message and even reporting here five days later. It is clearly a SCAM. It looks like these people like to SUCK people's blood and live on their bones (I am obviously angry, annoyed but still respectful, since we get similar calls almost every week).

Got the same call twice once on saturday but from 425-214-0745, some John Miller from the IRS Department, very thick accent, did not know the IRS was open on saturday.

I got a call from this number claiming that I owe back taxes and they were going to seize my property, etc.  I was suspicious because they didn't have the full name I use when filing with the IRS. When I asked him for proof that he was from the IRS, he hung up.  From the accent and other bits of information, I suspect the caller is from India.

I just a call from this number too and they threaten me to send me to prison for the unpaid tax from IRS.

Caller left message with my name. Claims to be from IRS. Told me to not disregard the message.

Got a couple of calls from 408-351-6925.  Did not answer the calls and got voice recording with barely understandable English. Claimed from the IRS and wanted me to call back. I think this is a scam

I also received similar call. I told him I will have my attorney contact him. He immediately hung up.

The guy left a message:  Is this Partha?

He called and asked for my tax id (SSN) to investigate on my tax return. When I asked questions, he used foul language to threaten me stating that I will have to face the consequences if I didn?t corporate with him. The call came on a Saturday 8 am CT (6 am PT) from San Jose, California, based on the reading on my caller ID.

This guy keeps calling asking for someone that I don't know then rudely insisting that I'm lying to him.

He said he was from the IRS and that I owed back taxes. He told me to stay on the phone and go to the bank to pay and if I didn't that they would seize my house and freeze my bank accounts. That's when I told him to kiss my AXX!

My wife got a voicemail from this number from someone called Singh - a very thick Indian accent - about illegal allegations, saying he was from the IRS, and it is very time sensitive and to call back.  I found several sites documenting this scam.

I tried reporting this using "call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.", but after many prompts I eventually ended up in someone's full voicemail box. They don't seem to have a way to report these phone scams easily.  Pity.

I received a call from 408-351-6925 from a guy with a thick accent and claimed that he was from IRS. We didn't answer the phone so he left a voicemail. I new this was a scam as IRS will send you a letter and will not call you to begin with.

I forgot to say that the name this alleged "IRS" agent used was Jason Curtis.

My daughter got the same call from the same number this morning at 8 am. This person claimed he's with IRS and needed to talked to her with regard to some "tax issues." I was pretty amused because it was obvious from his heavy accent that he was not who he said he was, he can't even pronounce his name correctly.  After reading all the posts here I think I'll call that number back and have some fun with them.  I used to get many calls from people with heavy accents (India) claiming they are calling from Microsoft and that there was something wrong with my computer...wonder if these are the same people!!!!!

Same thing happened to be as well. However, the person used John Watkins as his name.  He left a couple of messages on my voicemail asking me to call back saying this is a 'time sensitive issue'.  He also had a very monotonous tone.   I smelt a rat immediately and googled the 408-351-6925 phone number and here I am.  
Spread the word, folks.  Don't let your family and friends get ripped off by scam artists like this.

Got a call from 4083516925 Indian accent stating he was from the IRS now that they are trying to call hard working people and pull scams on us lets all keep calling them and blow up their phone line I think we should harass them right back

Got a call from a 4083516925 was threading to arrest my husband I called back the number and the guy said this is IRS I said this is not the IRS he replied yes IRS stupid lady then hung up the phone I wish the real IRS would contact them and use action to stop them. Carey

A Indian accent guy call me this early morning,claiming he is from the investigation bureau of IRS. And they are going to invest my income .i said I should get formal mail from irs if they need to do that. The he said officer Kevin bederson is going to in charge my case. Got a call from 408-351-6925 at 7:50 this morning. Caller asked for me ( I said she is not here).  Told me to have her call back because she owes money to IRS and can be arrested.  She needs to call him immediately, his name is Steve Frayen.   I knew it was a scam and want to share this message.
