Calling all hours.

Got a call. Thought it was suspicious they didn't leave a message. Google seems to tell me that this "Frat Ord Police" thing is a nationwide problem and has been going on for decades. Sup with that?

10/02 19:06 Hoped this would be the first day in a long while I would be free of garbage calls.  This one has called me before several months ago from this number, but also from several others.  I don't answer any of them these days.  Fool asked voicemail for lady of the house.  The one time I mistakenly answered something that said Frat Ord Police, they said they were calling raise money for children and when I asked which police, tried to talk of over me and wouldn't give me an answer.  Since I am not under any police dept., told them I wouldn't be donating anything.  Since they refuse to understand simple English, number now blocked.

Fraternal Order of Police. They first called me about 2 weeks ago but with a different number so I blocked it. (Past experience with them tells me they will continue to call over and over). Then they called me about a week later with yet another different number. Now this is the third so something is very phony here. I have heard that this organization is legitimate but from they way they solicit money I sure wouldn't trust them.

They also call from 408 550-1638.

So?    It's just a list.  It is Required to be purchased by legitimate and registered with the FTC,  Telemarketers.
"The List"   doesn't do anything else.   Not a call blocker and doesn't immunize you against any calls.

Being on the Do Not Call list doesn't stop any calls or immunize you against all unwanted calls.   It is not a call blocking service.   A call blocking device is what you need to stop unwanted callers.

I don't think scammers care about the Do Not Call, thus they scam and hope to bilk someone out of their money.  They just call at random any number from a cross directory

Asked for me by name on message, then hung up.  Scamming for money.  This seems to be the latest scam, using our names to lure us into their web.  Drop dead.

How do you get rid of calls like this if you're on the "do not call list?"

Called yesterday, when site was down, otherwise would have reported then.  Mistrust anything that claims to be police associated.  Not because I dislike police but because I don't trust anything claiming to collect for any type of police group.  This # and 408-550-1638 have only one saving grace and that is that they ID themselves and save me the time of answering and hanging up on them or trying to return their calls.  No message left in any case when I don't answer.

Fraternal Order Police? Doing a charity drive? please, my husband and I have verified with 4 different police officers we happen to know and they have all said that neither the police nor the fire department are authorized to ask for donations over the phone. These scammers are a big bag of FAIL.

First time I'm getting this kind of call.  I didn't answer, they left a brief message saying something about "charitable corporate donations"

Fraternal Order of Police.  This is a scammer plain and simple.
Any police drive is very specific to city, county and cause.  Don't be duped by them!

It IS a scam, an old tired SCAM in fact, amazing you can still find any victims.

NEVER GIVE MONEY on the phone to someone who calls you. NEVER. These crooks pocket most or all of the money. Then they send shills like this clown to try to control the damage sites like this do to their filthy SCAM.

By the way, if you pay taxes, you're already supporting the police. Why not call them and ask if this kind of phone call is real?

QUIT BOTHERING ME

Frat Ord Police appears to be an attempt to collect money through "donations." Obviously, sounds like Fort Ord, but the City of Seaside has their own police dept. Do noit call them back.

Got a call from this number. Caller Id is Frat Ord Police.....Didnt leave a message.

OH.....ALSO...when I answered the phone when they called, they asked for DAN, and I said, "Who is this?", then they asked for Paul, and I again asked who is they, and they hung up on me.

They keep calling, they don't leave a message and when I call the number, the recording says this number is not in service at the moment. On my phone ID, it says it's from FRAT ORD POLICE.
