voice recording about warranty. pressed 3 to talk to a "representative" who hung up on me when i asked who they were. called back and was told, via voice recording, that i "have been removed from their preferred customer list." total b.s.

Got a call from them on my cell phone. Not wanted.

Have received numerous calls from this number and wait for someone to leave a message.  No message.  Who is calling???  It's getting annoying!!

This is the same scame as calls from 800-111-1126.  I have gotten them from both on the same day.

woman's voice says something about the warranty on my vehicle being expired and that I have been sent mailings regarding this.  Press 1 to be removed or 3 to be connected to a represetative.  I bought a used vehicle 4 years ago with no warranty.  Sounds like a surefire scam to me.

You should actually report any and all calls like this, especially if they called a Cell phone (because THAT is illegal in all 50 states) to the FCC. There is an FCC complaint web page similar to filing a BBB complaint.

Got a phone call from them on Monday, Feb. 18 saying something about my car warranty expiring.  I've gotten two or three other calls from them since then, on different phone numbers.

I picked up the phone but it didn't say anything.

i dont answer numbers i dont know, and i do not use voice mail, so they did not get the option to leave a message. i did not call them back.

This is the same scam company that called a month ago from a 623-238-6228 number. It's the same recorder message, still try to sell car warranty. They've called 3 times. They also use 1-800-111-1126. This scam company just won't stop harassing me from different phone number, but always the same recorded message.

Received this call on Monday Feb 18, did not answer. Called back and recording said my number has been removed. I am dubious of that claim. This seem related to the 800-111-1126 call I just got today.

4th time this number has called, do not respond to call.

I found a missed call on my cellphone at 8:54P last night from this number.  No message.  Interestingly, I got a call from a different number -- 800.111.1126 -- on my cell phone this morning, which was also a car warranty expiration scam, as others have reported.  It seems likely that these two numbers are from the same friendly folks.

I got a call about my car warranty from this number. The only problem is that I don't have a car to go along with the warranty. This is probably a scam--no reputable company would call a cell phone without first obtaining permission. It is *illegal* for telemarketers to call cell phones, and I would encourage everyone who was bothered by this company to file a complaint with the FCC.

I recieved this call a week ago but did not answer it. When I looked at the ID later, the number showed up. I never answer out of area numbers. I called back and got the same message as everyone else; "You have been removed from our preferred customer calling list. Goodbye." They don't stop calling. They called me a few days ago. Each time I recieve the calls, it's at different times of the day. I answered this time, although I was driving. A recorded message takes me through this message saying my car warrenty is or is about to expire and I should not drive without a warrenty. It gives me the options to speak to a rep or to be removed. I connect to a rep. If he stated his name, I did not catch it. He promptly asks for the year, make and model of the car. I directly ask how they got my number and who they were. Without a word, he hung up. I didn't bother calling back, as I know what message I will reach.

How do I make these calls stop? I have added my number to the Do Not Call registry. I contacted my cellular company. Is there a way to find out the company making these calls? Is there an alternate number that is calling people about the same thing?

If they call again, I'm playing their game and see if I can get some information. I'll try to record the call, also. Any suggestions?

I've been receiving the calls on my cell for the last two days now from this number. Like other posters, if I don't know the number I don't pick up. If it's about a vehicle warranty then it's definitely a scam as my vehicle is a 1975.

My cell phone rang for a long time last night around 8:45 p.m.....checked my missed calls this morning and saw 408-587-2133 TWICE.  After checking the number out on this website I can rest easy it's not anyone I want or care to call back  :o)

this caller called twice but i didnt answer. so i called back and it said "you have been removed from our perferred service, goodbye." I have no idea who this is and why they are calling. i know no one by that area code.

Called the cell phone and I never picked up. no message left.

I just received a scam call from this number, searched the internet and found this page. I called digitcom, as suggested by one of the post, to complain about this phone number. What makes them think it is OK to harrass people in their sleep???

This is not the first time I have found this number on my cell phone with no voicemail left.  I recognized the area code because I have family living in the Bay area.  But the number does not belong to them.  I don't call the crack pots back.  Just like with my email, if I don't recognize the sender, I delete it.  Thanks for the blog.

I got a call twice today on my cell phone from this number 408-587-2133 once at 4:10 pm pst and again recently at 8:37 pm pst, but I didn't answer..
