Received call from this number with a recorded message saying that I have over $X of credit card debt.  I want to report these liars!!!

I got a phone call from this number, I didn't answer and when I called back a recorded message gave me the option to press 1 to be removed from the list... I hope it works!

They are not a collections agency. They are a company who makes a profit off of debt consolidation. It's a SCAM. If you ARE in debt, consult with a non-profit organization. To those in this board who are getting harrassing calls from telemarketers, I highly recommend putting your number on the national do not call list. A bill was recently passed making it legal to call people's cell phones. It's compete crap and should never have gone through. If you tell them not to call you and they continue, that's harassment and you should file a report with the FTC (federal trades commission). The FTC will investigate and fine them up to $1,000 per each violation. I highly recommend going to the FTC website and reading up on your rights!!!

answered this call and immediately googled the number and saw these posts. Called the number back and pressed 1 to remove my number from their list. These are scammers, don't even talk to them, just remove your number from their lists--they legally have to. They don't represent a credit card company.

They just phoned - I didn't pick up, and I googled the number to find this site.  I'll block the call.

This was a missed call on my cellphone.  They did not leave a voice mail.  Since I did not recognize the number, I Google searched it and found this site with all these posts.  Since I don't have a call blocking function, I have now added this to my contacts as "Telemarketer Scam" and muted the ringtone for this particular contact so that I am never disturbed again should they persist.

This number 310-599-5765 as well as 702-520-1471 and 408-651-8151 all called me back back with six calls in a row. I did not answer and they did not leave voicemails.

I don't have debt or a credit card. - it's a scam.

I was just called on my cell, and received a partial automated message. I Googled, came to this website, then decided to try calling the number back. I got an automated message that started off by saying to press 1 if you no longer want to receive calls from them.

Register your telephone/cellphone number with donotcall.gov to get on the national "do-not-call" list.
Whenever you receive an unsolicited call immediately write down the number and the time they called.  Return to the donotcall.gov site to file a complaint.
It may not stop them immediately but if they recieve enough complaints the gov will have enough evidence to do something about it.

A recorded message "offering" to reduce my credit card rates..."just dial 9 to speak to one of our respresentatives".  I did so, and a rather smarmy male voice comes on almost immediately and said, "Did you call to reduce your interest rates?", to which I answered, "No, I called to request that you put me on your do not call list."  The caller immediately hung up without saying another word.

I got a several calls over the past 4 weeks from 408-651-8151. The recording identifies the "speaker" as "Rachel" and does not offer an opt out option, so you have to press 9 to speak to a human.  The most recent call I got I was connected to just a bout the cockiest, smarmiest representative with which I have ever had the misfortune of speaing. When I politely asked him to put me on his "Do Not Call List" he smirked that "He was sooooo scared." and that because I was a credit card holder, he "could legally call me all he wanted." I told him I had registered my number with the national Do Not Call list and he just scoffed and repeated taht since I was a card holder, he had the right to call me to lower my interest rate (nevermind that he does not work for the credit card company that I use). He basically said I was powerless to do anything about his intrusive calls into my home. We'll see about that.

This number is linked to another number...702-520-1473...similar type of scam.  A real PITA. Tempted to locate them and have a "real" face to face chat with them.

This is about the fourth call this year, all they do is change their numbers to avoid the do not call list.

I keep getting calls from this number... When I answer it is a recorded voice telling me I can get a lower percent interest on my credit card debt.  This by the way is against the law... recorded messages that is.  So this time I pressed 9 as prompted to talk to a "live costumer service rep".  When someone finally answered I asked them what company they are calling from since I am on the do not call list and I am not suppose to be getting these calls unless they are from a company I hold an acct. with.  They said they work for all the credit card companies that hold the visa or mastercard accounts.  I told them that they are not suppose to be calling me because I am on the do not call list and he said that they could because they are affiliated with all the banks. Whatever!!!  So I then asked if they are really going to want to give me a lower interest rate on my $500 credit card debt and that's when he hung up.  Scammers and law breakers... Like I would ever do business with a company like this!  Ha!

Same as above. When I said I don't have debt and would like to be taken off of the list the woman with the accent abruptly hung up on me. Am going to call Consumer Advocate office about it. Not sure what else can be done.

This number calls me at work everyday.

They called and left a message vaguely saying that I should call them because of "the creditors" i owe money to. They didn't mention any names, or even my name at that. They are scammers and I'm sick of this crap.

Also recieved a call from these cretins. They are definitely phishers and my best advice is to hang up on them and report the call to your local consumer advocate's office.

Do not try to call them back and if you can block the number on your phone do so.

I got the same call and I hung up on them. What a lot of scammers there are out there.
