my husband keeps getting these calls to, i used to get them while i was at work finally my employer told them i no longer work there. now they're calling my husband and saying they are with the FBI or something and that he could do time in jail for not paying or giving a credit card number.

For about two weeks now I have been getting phone calls not only this number, but a number with a Miami area code.  Same man with an Indian accent who changes his name and the company he works for.  Now he is threatening to call my job and get me terminated.  Well, what he does not know is I made my job aware of this scam when it first happened.  I have not gotten a payday loan (seems to be the common theme with this scam) in almost 4 years, and I know for sure that one is paid off.  I did inquire about one about a month ago and that is how I believe they are getting peoples information and trying to extort money from them.  In this day and age people just need to be more aware of what information you give out over the internet. If there is something that you can inquire about and handle locally as far as your needs, I would suggest people do that instead of inquiring over the internet.  I have made complaint to FinCen and hope that they are caught and the calls will stop.

I got a phone call today real early this moring and didn't answer. I received another phone call a few hours later and they left a message a guy said he was Chris Robinson with US credit services and said that I have to call him back right away it was very important it regarded something with my name and social on file and money needing to be repaid. That's funny this is the first time it sounded like an american calling me and not a foreign guy. My spouse and I keep calling them out on this crap and then I get a phone call the next day by new numbers. I have never taken out a loan EVER other than a cash advance with my bank!

I keep getting calls from this number. When I don't answer, they just keep calling over and over and leaving messages. The foreign man said I have federal charges against me and if I don't want to be behind bars within the next 2 days, I better call him back with my attorneys information. The scary part is the man has my birthday, address, soc number, even my employer's name and number. How did he get this information? I do not have any cash loans for anything. Especially in another state. I worry that if he has this info, what other info does he have. Should I close my checking and savings accounts? What can I do?

They're calling me too!! Some foreign guy says he's from the FBI and that if I don't listen that he's going to sign an arrest warrant. I usually just hang up and ignore the calls but he just called me like 5 times in a row!!! I don't know what to do and I'm sick of getting these calls!!!

A person by the name of "Kenn Hoffman"... Says that he "WANTS me to call him" about a collection- What?!? No *please*?!? Whoaaaa! Sounds like extortion to me! Funny for now but wait until i get irritated!

THIS IS A FRAUD RING ACTIVELY BEING SOUGHT BY THE FBI.  They change numbers frequently and move locations, but it's always a man with an Indian accent.  They claim to be with federal agencies and/or law enforcement and make constant threats of litigation and job loss.  They call employers and family members with this same type of harassment, and immediately become belligerent if there is any resistance or attempt to verify their identity.

Do not speak with them or give out information under any circumstances.

I called FinCEN's Security Hotline after they claimed to be federal officers with this agency (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) and verified not only FinCEN but the FBI were already tracking this fraud ring.

I recieve calls from this number every day. Its been going on now for at aleast a month and they call me 12 times now in a row!! That was today, we'll c about tomorrow!! Its very annoying. And i let them leave voicemails everyday and theyre always the same!! First they were saying it was officer brooks or something now his names John Smith. I have no loans either, nor could i get one. But he told me i owe $540.00 or i was going to court and jail.  Said he was from "bureau crime investigation and intelligence".... Can you report these people to your local police? I mean i know you can, but is it worth it?

yes, i just got a call from this number. the foreign, hard to understand man kept saying i owe $340 and threatening to get me fired from my job if i do not pay on a loan i apparently took out. i hung up on him and he then called me back 6 times and left me a threatening voicemail saying he works for "bureau crime investigation and intelligence dues of law enforcement". i am a 23 year old who lives with my father that has NEVER taken out any loans. i have applied for loans through wells fargo and due to no credit history, was declined. now i'm wondering how they got my information and why they think i was approved a loan. i am a collections agent myself so i know my limits. if he harasses you the way he did me, you can sue him personally up to $1,000 & his company up to $10,000. he tried to scare me saying it costs $50,000 to pursue doing so. no, it costs $75 to file a harassment claim in georgia. oh and by law, collectors can only call you 2 times every business day after 8am and can only leave 1 voicemail (on each line) and if you say to them "do not call this number" they legally cannot call that number again.

A man keep calling me too using different names sometimes but i can tell it's him.He had stopped calling me for about a week but then he started back first calling my friend detting smart with him.At firdt he said that i can do 15 years but now he say 7 years.What is wrong with this man.Oh and plus he have a woman call my friend but not me.

Hey!! Have you found out anyway to get this guy to stop? He won't leave me alone either. I can't keep dealing with this guy. He's going to make me lose my job. He gives all my information out to other employees that work with me. Including my social security number and drivers license number. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

This same number 408-663-9576 has been calling me for 2 straight weeks and won't stop. He leaves very rude messages on my voice mail saying he will make me lose my job. When I answer, he cusses me and threatens me that he can make my life a living hell if I don't cooperate. He has been calling my job and family telling them my social security number and drivers license number. He says he is from California, Bureau of Criminal Investigation. He says that I'm going to do 7 years in prison. The same man called me last night at work said his name was Officer Derrick Johnson, but today my voice mail were he called this morning, he says his name is Justin Brooks. You can tell it's the same voice. How can he be telling everybody my business and my social security number? This is illegal!! How can I make him stop calling me on my job? I can't afford to lose my job. I have three young children. This man has been stressing me out so badly that I can't sleep or eat. This nightmare has got to end!! Please any advice?!?

this is another day the same person calling saying he is offier derek johnson and he called my daughter;s job using 911. and also on the 408-6639576 I am reporting this to the FBI and the FCC commission I hope everyone starts reporting these calls to to local  law enforcememt so they can do something about it this twisted person is telling my daughter to suck his (D) and pick up the phone (B) These calls are coming from california I Think because you goggle this number (408-663-9576 it is more different numbers used and they are in the santa clara county,los gatos and san jose area. Maybe it can be tracked down to Verizon because they serve those areas I read this on google.
