I just received a Text message from this slimeball saying he would pay me $50 more than I was asking for a steering column if I would wait for his payment to reach me! Then he asked for my address which isn't gonna happen! he used the number 843-900-0139!

The police don't have time for jerks like this but if you told them he was going to blow up their station they would be on his a** like white on rice.

1-408-692-5385,, I posted a craigslist add and he is sending me a money order.. lol... He did message me telling me his assistant sent to much money. Ive known all along this was a scam but googled the number for kicks... what a loser. I'll keep leading him on... If theres anything I can do or questions I can ask please let me know if will help anyone. I'm going to ship a box of cat Sh** to whatever address I can get out of him.

LIKE many other victims, we almost became one.  i posted a chair for sale on Craigslist and a man started TXTing me about wanting to buy, i went along like any other, and finally got TWO MONEY GRAMS for $995 each  he owed me $400 ONLY...  so i was confused, i txt him back and he said "his Assistant" made a booboo, and so i was ORDERED to go to MY BANK and deposit these MONEY GRAMS into my personal acct and send him back the rest via WESTERN UNION... this m'fr, thought he can fool me and so i googled the info off of the check and found the address was in the woods somewhere... then i looked for the bank name, found that on the check but no phone #   IF THE CHECK YOU RECEIVE HAS NO PHONE # OF THE BANK THIS MEANS ITS FRAUD. long story short, we are still playing with this man for more info to catch him... city where is claims to be is PORTO NOVO, BENIN   trying to copy the checks to post it here, dont think i can.

This guy is operating from South Africa (Botswana I think). Looks to me like a big scamming boiler shop similar to Nigerian jobs. Guys keep leading them on and waste their time as much as you can. I have many ads on Craigslist and I get their text messages all the time.

Got the same texts others have received and decided to check his phone number on the internet and found this website.  I texted him and told him I'm aware of his scam, so don't bother calling.  I also told him I know about his alternate phone number (843-900-0139) so don't bother calling on that one either.

This guy just texted me, the first text sent reading the exact title (including the capitals and whatnot) of one of my Craigslist ads, asking "Do You still have this, I'm looking to Buy thanks JR", JR being, from what I have read from these comments "Joshua Ramsey". The area code is a California one, and this guy is the ONLY person to contact me about one of my ads, which is one of the more costly ones, so it came a surprise. Usually people respond when I text "Yes" it is still available, though this guy didn't and the way he worded the text seemed off-putting. EXTREMELY glad I looked up this number. DO NOT fall for anything he says.

Thanks for the input.  He just text us about an item off of craigslist, and thanks to your guys' input you have just saved us.  A little advice from me don't give him your address and etc. HE IS TROUBLE!!!!!!!

i posted something on craigslist and got a response from this number and a couple of others...

first time posting on craigslist so was a bit naive...hope they arent tracking / using my number for anything...should have realized wehn i was receiving texts within 30 minutes of posting something on craigslist...

This guy is still up to no good! He is operating out of Africa I believe. He told me to send money to him via western union to Porto novo a city located in the Benin Repiblic. If you ever get a text from this guy.....don't respond!!! He is scamming you!!!

This guy is texting me. He is asking me if I have something for sell. I didn't reply to him. So now he is texting me with a different number. So look out everyone. This is his other number 843-900-0139.

I just got caught up with this guy this morning.  He wants all my info, but I started feeling comfortable about giving him my personnal information, so i decided to look up his phone number and I found all of your comments.  I texted him back telling him I will be contacting the police with all his emails.  Someone needs to get this jerk!  Thanks everyone for the heads up on this scum bucket!

This scammer is still at it. He send me three phony money orders to buy may Craigslist item.  I led him on for a bit, BUT now he has somehow obtained my (unlisted) phone number (I love the *^*^$  internet) and has been calling me. Hope he gives up calling me.  I don't want to have to change my phone number.

Well this guy sends a message wanting to buy something I put on craighslist and claims that he send the a check with the wrong amount and he wants me to send via wester union the rest of the money, the check he send was not good.

I am in the process of leading him on as we speak I asked him for his phone number and he gave me the same one you posted and when I googled it i found your blog about him. Luckily I have not excepted anything from him since I have heard of these scammers. I am enjoying waisting his time and I actually gave him my local police departments address instead of mine. I hope he gets caught if you need my emails from him let me know. Someones got to stop these jerks.

The product I was selling on craigslist was for 225.00, his "assistant" supposedly accidently sent me 2 money orders for 977.00 each.  Then he wants me to cash the money orders and send him back the balance.  I get a call back from my bank about 1 week later informing me that the money orders were falsified and that I was being charged a fee for them bouncing.  And then the guy has the nerve to text me from a different number saying that he wants to pick up the product.  I am filing a police report and hopefully will be able to help catch the guy someday soon.
