Its PG&E cold calling to see if your interested in energy savings products or if you qualify for discount and rebates. Since I already remodeled my home I told I don't need any of there service and to take my number off their calling list, the guy said sure hold on and said it was removed, time well tell.

Company is BAEG which is a call centre contracted (supposedly) by PG&E. Called back and after 5 minutes of refusing to give them any further information, while asking them to remove me from their list the guy finally claimed to have removed me.

Each time the called id said "Out of Area".  The answering machine (landline) would pick up, and no message was left. To those who identified the caller as "PG&E"...Thank you.

We have received calls from this number every morning around noon, the last few days. No message. Today they called twice a row. I went to the PG&E website to change my number. On the home page, they had a scam alert. This number that has been calling is not listed on there, but its pretty much the same thing.

This is the 2nd number I've had to block from PG&E.  My suggestion is to log/call into your PG&E account and change your number to a fake number.  Clearly this company cannot be trusted with personal data.

I have a new catch phrase for the PG&E marketing team to consider:

"PG&E...if we don't kill you with our gross negligence, we harass you with unauthorized phone calls"

Called cell @ 5:25pm, no message. Now blocked!!

Called my mobile phone from Sunnyvale at 5:42 pm on Friday, April 4th.Picked up the phone, and nobody say any words. Suspect the machine call.  Per other's info, I've blocked this call on the iphone.

I had the same experience except it was my home phone number.  No name displayed on caller id.

Further to my post above, the caller asked for me by my first name, claiming to be PG&E.  BUT, my PG&E account lists me by my middle name, not by my first name.  So, this is not PG&E.  Time of that call was shortly before 6PM

I just found out you can block the caller with iphone.  Click on that phone #, then select Block this Caller.

Asked for me by my first name. My wife had answered. Said it was PG&E, offering a discount.  Asked if my address was correct.  My wife said yes.  They asked if this was a rented or owned residence.  My wife said this was asking too much information, then hung up

Started calling my cell between 5:30 - 7:00pm every night.  They hanged up the phone as soon as I picked up the phone.

Then, a long interlude of piano music.

PG&E has never been given my cell phone number. They contact me via our landline. This smelled like a scam. I hung up.
