Rings then disconnects

I am getting daily calls from this number (SBC Messaging), no messages left, either early in the morning (even on weekends!) or late in the evening.  I am on a no-call list.  Frankly, I'm tired of it.

get the call from them twice a days, very annoying. When we picked up the phone, they said due to difficulty, cannot complete the call..

I agree completely.  If people want an idea, the JDRF, the juvenile diabetes research foundation, donates a documented 85% of their funds directly to research for curing type 1 diabetes, the kind kids get.  

I found this site because I have gotten calls with no messages from them 2 days in a row.  I don't answer if I don't know who it is so I'm glad that now I know for sure not to answer.

Just to let all know, I just called them back, hit the # sign to skip their message and told them all about my day and how we're all getting tired of them calling our homes interupting our lives. (hopefully they care), I also asked them to take me off their calling list (this is the 5th time now.) Their 72hrs must be a little longer than my 72hrs.  Hmmm?  Perhaps, I'll call them back and discuss this with them and my story about how I was watching our grass grow this morning.  Stay tuned.

If everyone calls them back and leaves a nice long message, then maybe, just maybe it will tie up their service long enough to give us a 1 day break. Its amazing that nothing can be done about this. I have a friend who works for PB, perhaps he can give us the address and we picket their company. Now, that would be fun. We can have a Potluck Lunch and colorful PIcket Signs.      But.....for now, please make sure to leave them a nice longgggg message. Tell them about your day, tell them something exciting but with a boring ending and Don't forget to Apologize and say "Good Bye".    Hahahaha  have some fun with them, you know they must be bored silly calling us everyday. Show them some love.

called and claimed to not be able to talk in person so "played an automated voice message"
when obviously it was a person talking
caller ID said SBC MESSAGING.
yeah right creepers.

Please disconnect this phone number, so they stop harassing people daily!!!

got calls several times the last few weeks without leaving a message. today i answered and the man asked for my husband by name. when i said he wasn't here, he just hung up without a word.

We get calls from this number almost daily. When I try to call it back it's "disconnected or no longer in service" (using the Caller ID #).
The Caller ID says "SBC Messaging".
I asked today who was calling and they hung up.

I'd like to be saved from this nuisance caller.

Left obnoxious message an answering machine at 9 pm!

"We're unable to speak with you personally. Please accept our sincere apology. Good. Bye"

and as another person wrote, I only started to get these calls when I switched to Comcast for voice service.

They have called a couple of times. Dead air when answered. Have never had so many nusance calls until started using Comcast as phone carrier, which will not be much longer if this continues.

I answered a call from 408-865-9448 and when I picked up the line was dead.

These kind of fund raisers are a scam just to make $ for the fund raising company. Less than 30% of what you give actually goes to the stated program. The rest goes to the fund raising company. Whenever they call I confront them on that point and they just hang up. Don't waste your money. Give it to a charity that is efficient.

Yup just got the call. For the last two weeks or so, I've been getting their calls but have not answered them. In the previous years I have answered the calls (after getting really annoyed at their repeated nightly callings) and told then I can't afford/ don't want these tickets.

They do listen....until the next year.

7:00PM on 3/2 received a call and asking for fund raising of $40 for a single game ticket for missed and lost children and send a cover to the caller address. Very well we can understand that this is a fake call. Just they can annoy telling that they are calling from Santa Clara County Sheriff's Association. Caller ID will diplay as "SBC Messaging" and they say that their number is exempted from do not call list. tried calling back and no one would answer other than a recorded long message that you can not easily understand.

We get calls from this number about 3-4 times a week.  They usually call when we are busy or not home, but don't leave a message.  Very annoying.  I keep hoping they will call when I am available so I can yell at them.

In Saratoga, we got calls from this number on two different lines at home last night.  No message left in either case.  Looks like nuisance call.

We've been called several times now by this number. It's the same as everyone else. Don't call back! You will get more calls if you call them back. If you don't know the #, google it like you've done here, and report it.

My phone rang, I answered..in the middle of dinner! No one there!

Called, didn't leave message.

This phone number has called me 3-5 a week, since October.  They only let it ring twice.  I have never answered, nor will I ever.  Please help stop this.

Left no message, Caller ID: SBC Messaging.  Called back, got recording stating they were exempt from do-not-call list and to leave voicemail.  Left message with my phone number only stating that I do not accept that they are exempt and to put my number on their in-house list and not call back again.

Redialed number and requested to be removed from the internal calling list they say it takes 72 hours.

I received an unknown call from (408)865-9448.   It did NOT leave a message.
It might be a disturbed call.

Got call on Dec 03, 09 evening.
No message.
