I recieved mulitple calls from this number while I was act work. The message that was left was rude and very threating. They said if I didn't contact them immediatly in regards to a supposed loan I took out that they would take me to court and freeze all of my assets. Definetly will be reporting to the FBI and having my attorney take a look at this.

I too got several calls today from this # 408-900-9700. Just ignore these calls. I talked to an attorney a while ago regarding similar calls. He said no one can arrest you at home or at work for these false alegations. I hope there will be a special place in hell for these morons!!

A client contacted me concerning this Ryan Smith.    I called him and informed him that he was violating the Fair Debt Collection Act.    I challenged if he was really an attorney.   He tried to give me an attorney number (which anyone can easily find) so I asked him where he went to Law school.   Instead of answering a simple question which any lawyer could easily answer, he kept trying to give me his Bar ID number.    It didn't take long to surmise that not only was he not a lawyer, he had no real knowledge of the law.   He simply relies on intimidating innocent people.    I was able to to speak to the Controller for Holland & Hart.    She was a nice woman who explained that their firm keeps getting used in this scam and it springs up quarterly.   They were asking for $500 from my client.   If they could get 20 people a day (100/wk) to pay then they are stealing $50,000/ wk.   Holland & Hart has reported it to authorities but it is difficult to do anything about it.   The banks are off-shore accounts.    Their advice is to ignore calls from this number and don't give in to their scare tactics.

I got the same type of call last week from a different number, so I contacted my lawyer. He informed me that it was a type of scam going around right now. When I got a call this morning, I simply said I was aware and that my lawyer was going to meet them in court tomorrow morning. He asked me for my lawyer's phone number so he could have his lawyers talk to them. I told him that was none of his concern and he got angry and started cursing at me. So I told him that they could deal with it in court. I hung up on him and of course he called me right back. I asked to speak to HIS lawyers and he said he was the lawyer. After asking him a few more questions he got flustered and hung up.

The week before last I got several calls from 518-621-2694.  They said there were three criminal fraud charges against me.  They had my home address and the last part of my SSN.  It was a man with a thick Indian accent.  He said I owed on a payday loan.  When I said I have paid all of those, that they take the money out automatically, he said their records showed I owed over 4000 dollars in late fees and lawyers fees.  Then he said he was from a law firm and he was going to file papers so that I would be arrested if I did not make these payments.  He said they would come to my house or my job the following week and take me to court.  I work with kids and I became horrified at the thought that some oversight I had made meant the kids were going to see me arrested.  I became extremely upset, to the point where reason left me.  I begged the man to help me, that I didn't have any money.  He said they would take a settlement in the case of 9 hundred and some dollars.  (I have paid less than I owed on a credit card once, so this seemed legit in my state of utter panic).  I said I'd call him back when I found a way to get the money.  My coworkers saw me flipping out and helped me realize this sounded like a scam.  We called the local prosecutor and he said the same and that there were no warrants out for me.  After that, I called the so-called law firm back.  He refused to give me the number of the place that I supposedly owed this money to, then he became belligerent and said papers were being filed and I'd better be ready to go to court the following Tuesday.
The following Tuesday came and went, of course, without an arrest.  I realized how silly I'd been to almost fall for it (imagine being elderly or so young in the world you don't know what's what).  Then this past Thursday, my work started getting barraged with calls from 408-900-9700.  It was a man with an Indian accent.  He called every five minutes demanding to speak to me.  Our secretary refused to pull me from class, as she thought it was weird they were calling so much and screaming at her.  I spoke to the police and have reported both numbers.
Fortunately, I work at an understanding place, but it was still horribly embarrassing.  Never mind how sick with panic I got the first time.  I hope they catch these awful awful people.  I was sobbing on the phone with him, you see?  And he was still continuing with the scam.  I don't know how they sleep at night, but I hope they are soon sleeping behind bars.

I have just rcvd a total of 7 calls within a 40 minute period from this so called company. The callers claim I have an unpaid payday loan & were reading off a banking routing number. The first woman could not even speak clearly, she hung up on me lol.  The next calls came from 2 men, various names (same as mentioned above), all very broken english & extremely RUDE. I asked for the dates these "loan" applications were requested on, dates kept changing. I then asked for the dates the "funds" were posted to my bank account, again kept changing. I asked the "Supervisor Ryan" to fax me documentation of these request, he was not "allowed" to. I advised I was going to forward this info to my attorney & the Police Dept, he laughed. I then called back to advise "Ryan"  a detective from the  County Sherriffs Office would like to speak to him & provided him the phone number, Ryans reply was "I'm not your slave", "I don't make your phone calls for you" LOL!! No more calls since then :)

Been called six times and left messages as a "reference" listed for a friend.  This middle easern accent person identified himself as an attorney for united nations (couldn't understand the rest of the messages).  Continued to be harrassing and leave messages at all hours of the day and night claiming a legal matter against a friend. Complete Scam that keeps changing numbers.  Wondering how they are stealing all this personal information for people.  Reported to FTC and Attorney General.

Been getting calls from 929-268-0229, 408-900-9700 and 347-637-6480. They say there is a legal matter against my SSN and if I don?t cooperate I am in great danger and will be arrested. I got the local police involved and they called the numbers back. After a little back and forth talk they then put an ?FBI? agent on the phone. Funny because he could barely speak English. I then reported these numbers to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the states Attorney General.

These guys have harrassed me before. It all started with an online payday advance from CashNetUSA. They claim the same false information as stated by others. The call are all from various numbers, but are all claim I have charges filed on my SS# from CashNetUSA when I requested the name of the business claiming to be owed. They seem to have my information readily available, but these annoying calls are just that, ANNOYING. I told them I would call the company myself and check with them. Of course, I immediately went online. Via the online chat site, (which pops up in the way before you enter the actual website), the lady I chatted with at CashnetUSA checked my account and said that I had paid all my loans promptly and she gave me a customer service number and said to call the customer service number for any further complaints or information, thanked me,.and said they are careful to keep my personal information private,  I looked up the number she gave me online, and the information online said that the number is also a scam number. I would suggest that if anyone contacts these people that they call and not use the floating online chat site to correspond with them. The foreign accented men miraculously stopped calling when I didn't renew my payday advance online last month, but I received e-mails to renew many times, giving me discounts to renew with CashNetUSA. This month, just out of curiosity, I renewed the loan again. Can guess who started calling me again? I will pay off the CashNetUSA loan again on the due date and plan to never do business with this company again, although I don't think they are directly connected with these persons overseas, I do think personal information has somehow been compromised through this website. I would suggest that anyone doing business with companies who provide local payday advances do so with businesses that do not have "USA" as part of their company name. This suggests that there are also branches elsewhere besides the USA. Unfortunately, although American companies have utilized overseas operators to solicit and market and conduct other collections activities, which seem to be more economical for them, they are beginning to provide these government subsidized job opportunities to our own people in America during our job market crisis. I feel that perhaps some of this outsourcing has caused these personal information compromising problems and annoying calls from personnel overseas who can project their communication using untraceable cell phones with numbers which look like they are coming from companies in America to make for a more realistic claim, just know that this is indeed a scam and although this compromising opportunities may continue to occur for awhile, these people  thrive on drama, so just get caller ID, don't answer their calls, don't ever send them any money to settle a debt claim, don't do business with CashNetUSA, or any other company who uses "USA" as part of their company name, and eventually, and hopefully, they will stop calling you, I do hope somehow the decrease in outsourcing overseass makes it easier for authorities to someday catch these annoying criminals.

They have called me from Florida and most recently, Sunnyvale CA, # 408-900-9700.  His name is Jeff Morgan and can barely speak any English.  He told me that there is illegal activity going on with my Social Security number.  I read him off a phoney number (saying it was my SS#) and he said hold on, (I think he was writing it down) and said to me, Yep, that's the number being used in the illegal activity.  I told him he was full of crap, that the number was bogus and he said he was just testing me then, he let loose with the most foul of statements to me.  Obviously, I gave it right back.  This time however, I just kept calling the number back, all day long.  I blocked my number of course, but it was driving them CRAZY!!!  If they were truly legitimate, they would have traced the calls.  After about the 200th call I made to them, he says to me, why you keep calling and harrassing me, please stop, I can't take this anymore.  I am sooo tired of these calls and no one seems to be able to help.  The last message I left them said, Hi, My name is Mike Hunt and I gave them the local police stations phone number.  I told them I was concerned about the activity of my SS #, and to call me right back. Hope they talked to our policemen!

I have also received several phone calls from someone I can't understand as well.  I live in Canada and they are leaving messages on my home phone machine.  I sent Holland & Hart an e-mail that the person that they are looking for does not live here nor do I know her.  They had left a name of a person that they were calling about and I told them that she does not live here nor do I know her.  Hopefully they stop calling me.

Just got a call from this number, first a lady ask to speak to Barbara ****  I said this is she.  She said please hold.  I could tell it was coming from somewhere other than the US (too much static) then a guy gets on says he is from Holland & Hart Attys and that he is Sr. Atty Lyon Smith (with a very heavy accent) and that there is a lawsuit against my SS# and said 4 digits and then asked me is that your SS #. I didn't answer his question and asked who is this lawsuit from, he said CASH PAYDAY USA, I told him they are a fraud and that I have reported them to to FTC, BBB, Local Police, SS and have changed my bank account numbers. Last week when they called his name was Joe Martin, and if I didn't pay $689.55 for a payday loan I got in March of $350 they would come to my work and drag me to the courthouse, I asked him for the date that this supposedly occurred and he couldn't give me a specific date just March 2011 that CASHNET USA has so many on line payday companies that they can't keep track of specific dates (huh?)...um obviously they don't know the legal procedure of the United States, (you wont drag me anywhere). I have reported them to all of those places and to CASHNET USA and they said there is a Fraud Investigation going on. I googled CASH PAYDAY USA and there is no such company by that name.  BE AWARE! THEY ARE FRAUDS!
