Caller ID showed: V31922202500287
To break that down, it called on 3/18 at 22:20:25 (10:20:25 PM)
The 00287 is a counter that apparently counts down since the poster above me has 00288.
Since my current time is 7:25 PM (PST) and the ID shows a 3 hour difference, you can conclude that the call came from the east coast. The area code 408 is in northern California though.
So to conclude, the call is 110% fake.

Just got a call from this number. I don't answer calls if I don't recognize the number. They didn't leave a message so they obviously are not a legit business/charity call. Amazing that I pay the phone company "X-amount" of dollars per month so I can be bothered by calls like this.

Au contraire - some of the posters called were not given a name, even when they asked, so how could they post the name? The caller is obviously a scammer.

Thank you for the useful information about the caller. I wish others that are posting, would also provide useful information and if not, would refrain from posting noninformative, useless and sometimes hostile comments.

No response to my Hello, then a delay, then a call-center-like Oh I Got A Response From This One! A real person said, "Hello, I'm calling from the Fraternal Order of Police. This call is being recorded..." I interrupted & said if they sent me something in the mail, I would consider it, then hung up.

Roy got same content. I thot law enforcement didnt ask for donations over the phone. Per calling an office. How do u know where $ goes? Report to FCC.

Called yesterday. It is a charity call center trying to get you to contribute to an organization that helps the family's of law officers that have had tragedies. They want a commitment so they can send you the appropriate billing statement. Called ID shows Sunnyvale, CA

no id did not leave message I reported them to nomorobo.com. They really stop the calls. The do not call list does nothing or the FCC
