Received a message from "Sean Elliott" of the "Office of Legal Recovery" - showed up on my phone as 443-853-1008, but he left call back number of 410-229-0143, ext. 107.  I believe I have received calls from this firm before.  They claim that a civil case is about to be filed against me in Maryland, but that I need to contact them so they can help me avoid that action, but they are really trying to shake you down.  The last time I dealt with them, it was for some kind of closed utility account; I told them I needed to see a detailing of what the charges were and they said they didn't have them and for me to call the company.  Company couldn't give me information as the account was so old.

As they tout themselves as an "Office of Legal Recovery" I also asked if this was a law firm andif the person I was speaking to was an attorney.  They danced all around that issue because they are not.  I also asked if it was ok if I recorded the conversation, and at that point, they disconnected.

The dude that called sounded shady.  He kept on saying that he's the only one authorized to waive the interest costs but didn't say what he was after.

This number keeps calling my cell phones, some recorded message about insurance.

Been receiving calls from them for months asking for someone that was not me and who I did not know.  Sent an email to the addresses listed at their website - got rejected because both the "Questions" and "Legal" mailfolders were full - hmmm, wonder why?

Even received a voicemail indicating that the account was referred to the legal department.  Sounds like an attempt to scare me into calling them, because I continue to receive calls from the same phone number, suggesting that it was not referred to another party.

Guy name some thing like Kaladia sounded Gay called from Pace financial and left message, wanted to talk to and left 1-866 number to call.

I AM AN EMPLOYER I KEEP GETTING PHONE FROM THESE PEOPLE TRYING TO GET HOLD OF ONE OF MY EMPLOYEE THEY FIRST ASKED TO SPEAK TO HER THE OPERATOR EXPLAINED  THAT SHE DOESN'T WORK IN THE OFFICE THAT SHE WORKED OUT IN THE FIELD, THEY THEN TRY TO TRICK HIM IN TO GIVING THEM HER NUMBER WICH HE IS  NOT ALLOWED TO DO SO I CALLEDF THEM TO GET TO BOTTOM IF IT FIND IT'S A DEBT COLLECTING AGENCY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY ...................

Finally got these calls to stop!  Sent an email to all of the email addresses indicated in their website (Pace Financial) explaining again that I am not who they are looking for and that if they were really serious about finding the person they mentioned that they could easily use other means that repuatble companies would use.  Also, mentioned this and other websites listing the numerous complaints about calls from this number.

Haven't heard from them since.

This place is rinky dink. Don't even answer the phone.

I go a call from this number at work back in dec 08.  they said i owed a past due amt to and old ckg account that i had closed a yr earlier.  i told them that i would talk to the bank and call them back, which i did.  the bank said that they showed the account closed and not forwarded to a collection agency. i had the bank send them (Pace)paperwork saying i did not owe.  I just recd a call today of them trying to make a "deal" with me for half the amount!  I am sure that they recd the paperwork, but are still trying to get money! they threatened to put this on my credit rpt...i said go ahead!

Fast talker.  Some asshat named Randall just called.  One of his tactics is this: Let's say your name is John.  Well, Randall calls your house, and you answer the phone and say hello.  He immediately says exactly: "Hey John, this is Randall. Blah blah blah, blah..."  

I put "blah blah" instead of his actual rap, because I began talking over him right after he said, "Hey John, this is Randall."

As soon as they use my name, whether they ask for me, or address me as this jack*** did, I just say, "there is no one here by that name".  And I hang up, not waiting for them to come up with some more B.S.

Got a call from this number 4 times today. Left one message saying that it was an urgent matter and that I needed to call them back at a 1-800 number. Found out it is a collections company but there website "is currently under construction". Are these guys legit or what?
