Caller ID shows "Out of Area" but the area code and exchange are Ellicott City, MD which is not out of my area. They didn't leave a message. Anyone have any idea who this is?

Got a call today from this #.  No message left

Called the number back and they identified themselves as Global International (GI) and that they were trying to help me.  They asked me for my DOB which I would not provide.  If they already had my phone number and name they should at least tell me the purpose of the call.  I tld the customer service representative to remove my number from they list and the response was thay they could not if I did not verify who I am.

I decided to set up call block as a temporary solution.  No company should call and leave a message with out identifying who or what the company is about.

On last note: I googled the company and found a "Global International Lottery" hit which is documented in the "scammer category".

got a  recorded call yesterday saying pressing legal matter. call asap. they never identified who they were.
today got a recorded call telling me i did not respond yesterday and i have until 5 pm today. who are they?
