I have received calls from several people who claim to be associated with this 'charity'. I too have looked at their website and have viewed the letter that supposedly registers them w/the state of Maryland as a charity. It strikes me as odd that there is no letterhead, just a typed letter on what appears to be stock paper.
I had donated to this 'charity' in the past, but last year they called (again) and when I said that I was not in a position to donate, the woman mocked me and said, 'Oh really, you can't contribute THIRTY DOLLARS?". Well, no I can't, not any more.
They call and call and call and will not take no for an answer when you respond.
One night I was bathing my dogs and a woman named AMBER KENNEL called no less than 10 times in 30 min, never leaving a message. When i was finally able to answer the phone, I asked her if she had calling here for the last 30 min (as I had it on my caller ID). "Oh no she says, that was not me". So if they are dishonest enough not to answer a directly question truthfully, nor can they leave a message but repeatedly call, it raises my suspicion.
I asked Ms Kennel to take my name and number off of her solicitation list and I have emailed the 'company' to ask the same,
to no avail. These people are relentless and rude. Every time I get a call from a number I do not know, it's them. I block the numbers repeatedly and now have TWELVE of them blocked, but they keep calling from different, random cell phones,yet never answer when you call them back! You'd think they would take a hint especially since i have specifically asked them to stop
I will not donate to them again and suggest that others ignore their calls. I am going to send an email to the Maryland agency in control of these 'charity's' today and ask them to investigate. Good luck to you all.

They also call from 410-859-1605. IT is a SCAM. The money goes to the wife, Cynthia Miller, who shops all day and night with those funds. Someone needs to do something about this. They have children who frequently go without, yet they scam people on the pretense of "helping kids". Someone needs to get those kids out of that home and do something about them.

Charity begins at home.... I have my own children, and grandchildren.  I take care of my own don't ask for help.  

In addition, I hate that people want to ask for $$ then when you send it, they send you reminders as if you signed some agreement to donate on a regular basis.  Makes you not want to give to charities if I got it I give it, if I don't, I don't need a reminder sent to me, save the money from the stamp, envelope, and time and put it to the cause.

I have received several calls from "Art MIller" at 410-590-4461.  I never answer but other web sites say it's a woman trying to scam money for an unspecified charity.  Time to report this to A.G. or ABC 2.

Have received call twice in two days. No one on the line and calls every night at 6:30 pm. Gonna try and block number.

According to the MD Sec of State, in 2008, this so called charity spent 99% of the money it collected on management and fund raising fees. It's a sham! Don't throw your money away. And get this, the MD Sec of State site says that they are in compliance with state requirements! Go figure. Surprised? I’m not.

If you know all of this, then why haven't you reported to some official agency that can eliminate the
problem.  There must be some one that can shut them down or force them to stop making the calls
all hours of the day and night.

Receive calls all hours of the day and night (410-590-4461 Art Miller).  Do not know anyone by this
name and will not answer the phone.  From reports from others there should be something that can
be done to stop this individual or individuals from continuing this harassment.  Any one receiving a
call from this number should not answer.

Wow, Daniel, thanks for posting.  I've contributed to them the last five years or so and I have always wondered the legitimacy.  This year I asked them to stop calling and send me something in the ,mail which they did.  I've spent the last twenty minutes trying to figure out who/where to call to confirm the legitimacy in MD.  I guess anyone can get legal and that doesn't say anything for ethics.  It breaks my heart when there are so many people out there with real needs.  Wishing for America to WAKE UP!

I used to work for Art Miller, and I can confirm that KSN ( Kids Support Network ), A.K.A. JSF ( Jobs for Students ), A.K.A. CFK ( Christmas for Kids ) is fraudulent. Whoever it was who posted on here trying to defend it is a perfect example of their illegitimacy. The spelling is off, as is the punctuation in their so called defense ( before they help the kids they better help themselves, and get an education lmfao ). In my time working there they referred to contributers as Customers, and contributions as Sales. The employees spend far more time talking to one another about their own drama than concentrating on helping the community. As for the random names appearing on your caller ID it's because he buys old phone numbers. When they get no answers they'll *67, or use one of two cell phones placed in the office with their names attached to the accounts to fool you. There were several occasions where clothing, and toy donations were claimed by employees before they were distributed to the ones in real need of them. Here's the kicker ... no more than 30 percent goes to helping children, and the community. Art Miller leases two offices, and has at least 12 or more people on his payroll. I know all of this, because I looked in his records when he wasn't there. Here's a tip. If you are trying to fraud an entire community don't hire a future Army Recon to work for you. I'll be on my way to basic training soon, and once I am in I will be glad I don't have to work for people like Art Miller. I'm an honest person who feels it's the right thing to do in warning anyone out there who is smart enough to look in to this so called charity. I hope this keeps people from giving to them, and that it helps your money go to organizations that really do work. Our economy isn't doing very well, and if you're going to throw your money away at least it could do what you think it's doing. If you give to these people all you're doing is paying for their cars, homes, and other personal expenses. Don't believe me ? Go visit them randomly at 1414 Crain Hwy. Suite 4B Glen Burnie MD, 21061. just got a call from mike carter con 4105904461 call it back rings busy. said someone would come to pick up a check btn a two hour time frame you could be home or leave it and they would leave a tax deduction receipt. It seemed legit until I googled the # and started seeing all the posts and called the number back. there are other safer ways to give money.

Since I have not seen new posts on this number...just wanted to add to the list...these calls are still happening.  For the past few days we have recived a call from this phone number with Miller ART as the caller ID.  We have not picked up...so I was unaware of the nature of the call.  Very annoying.

If you are such a "legitimate" organization why do you use other peoples phone numbers and names. If you want to achieve your goals this is not the way to do it. I learned a couple of years ago not to answer if the caller ID said Art Miller now it's Mike Carter Construction. Not only that you should let the phone ring more than 3 times. You must realize not everyone is sitting by a phone waiting to pick it up. Not only that you are in PG County and have nothing to do with my county.

They manage to scam people for almost $200,000 yearly then they make a few "non-cash" donations (about $33,000 on the latest tax return) and spend the rest on Fundraising to a company, Fraternal Aid, Inc., for which Albert A. Miller III is president and sole stockholder of Fraternal Aid, Inc.  I assume this is the same Albert Miller that is President of Kids Support Network.  And what are these non-cash donations?  Some used crap that they pick up from more unsuspecting suckers?  I hardly believe that they are spending money to buy goods to donate.  But that "fair market value" of the goods disappears in the tax return.  Where's the $33,000?  Hmmm.......

On the charity website, they note "No board member receives any compensation from K.S.N."  Yeah, no compensation, but they do pay about $160,000 a year to a board member for fundraising.  It's so easy to see this.  I can't believe it's legal.  I'm literally sick thinking about this.

Kids Support Network is in fact a very Real & Legitimate Non Profit Charity!!
Our manager who's been calling you people,is not just claiming to be calling from a charity & trying to collect donations for our charity,she truly is with Kids Support Network & is the Manager as well!!

Did some more internet research.  Looks like the number is listed to the Kids Support Network. Email address is artmiller@kidssupportnetwork.org. The web address is www.kidssupportnetwork.org. And the business address is listed as 7123 E. Furnace Branch Rd, Glen Burnie MD.  Although the website telephone number is listed as 410-590-4125, I'm confident these numbers are related. On the website it states that the Kids Support Network is a registered 501c(3)charity and their Federal Tax Id or EIN is 42-1649439. They also claim to be registered with the Maryland Secretary of State's Office (SOS) which is an arm of State government that monitors and enforces the standards of law involving charitable solicitations. So you may be able to file complaint through that office. The MD SOS website is www.sos.state.md.us.  In checking through that site I found that  Albert A. and Cynthia K. Miller (residential address) 557 Shipley Road, Linthicum Heights 21090 , MD 21090; Phone (410)590-4125 was registered with the SOS. Apparently the organization is currently in compliance with the Maryland Solicitations Act. Their listed purpose: To buy toys, clothes, school supplies, food for disadvantaged kids throughout Maryland.

Same here.  I will get 2-3 phone calls all in the same day.  I never pick up. Then the calls will dissipate for a couple of months, then start up again. I did an internet reverse search on 410-590-4461 which indicated that the number was a landline based in Glen Burnie, MD and was unpublished, even though it shows up on the caller ID as Art Miller.  I do not know who this person is.  I also get calls from Lillian Collazo 410-551-5541 around the same time frame using the same pattern. I did an internet reverse search on that number as well, which indicated that the number was a landline based in Severn, MD and was unpublished. This has been going on for about a year.  Very irritating.

I too receive calls from "Art Miller" at 410-410-590-4461.  I never answer, but this has been going on for the past year or two.  It's sporadic, not like Robo calls.  I?ll get a few calls in the same day, then it will stop for a few weeks, even a month or two. Then they will call again.  At 1st I thought it was a wrong number or someone trying to get a hold of whoever had my number last, but they kept calling!  So I checked Google and here I am.

Same experience as other callers....."Art Miller" calls asking for, says will pick up, money for charity that could not be explained....time to report this to the MD State's Attorney's office...they love to investigate scams...

This person comes up as Art Miller, but it is a woman trying to get us to tape a check to our front door for a kids charity.  She will call on an average of 5-10 times per day.  Will not quit calling.

Woman claimed to be collecting money for charity and said she would come to the house to pick up the cash.  She would not take no for an answer and would not identify the charity.  She called back again and also called the neighboring house twice.

A google search showed this to be the number for Mike Carter Construction Company, 7310 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD  21061.
