My call came from 916-395-0000 a number which is out of service.  Same routine. Same threats of investigators taking me to court at 11 A.M.  Claimed to be a law firm english so poor i could not understand the name.

Woman with a heavy East Indian ("Anna Taylor") accent called, left a msg for "Robert Pond." "You or your attorney must call immediately." Repeated number 3 times.

Called back as I was writing this. Insisted "I" owed money to "National Payday" and that she was calling from the "crime monitoring division." She said the last 4 digits of "my" SS# 0282. She said my case was going before "the court" at 11 AM tomorrow. When I repeatedly asked Where, she transferred me to her supervisor, David (Indian/Pakistani accent).

David said that 2 agents of the FDB - Federal Debt Bureau - were coming to "my" address tomorrow morning to escort me to court where my case would be heard. When I asked him what address they were picking me up at, he gave me an address in the next town over.

Do a Google search on the number 410-713-4841 and you'll find a number of odd comments from the last couple days. Whoever these people are, they've got a lot of private data and are using some pretty heavey-handed tactics to harrass citizens. Do not give them money and report them to your local police dept., and the FBI and FTC.

I am getting all of same things everyone is getting too.  If you go onto:  www.zillow.com, enter the address of 1432 Hoffman Lane, Campbell, CA.  It's a home that's being sold for $935,000!  We all somehow have in one time or another entered our information through the internet to try to buy or borrow something.  These people are hackers and to me - TERRORISTS!  These people are really terrorizing our lives everyday.  Let's all try to gather a big number of complaints to the Federal trade Commission and our respective Attorney General's office.  If you are working and they try to call your employer - warn your employer that they are scammers.  We need to protect ourselves.  You can tell they're from a call center from out of the country - it's cheap labor and call centers this one country is known for.  I'm not being prejudice - I myself, am of 100% Asian heritage.  This is just wrong and they need to stop.  Like we all don't have enough problems of our own in this day and age, with the economy we're now in.

The VERY EXACT thing just happened to me!!! Same woman, same demands, same speech about having to FDB agents pick me up in the am to attend a court hearing - WTF! She called my home first and told my daughter I was being investigated for a crime, then called my job with the same thing - except when she first attempted to verify the last 4 of my social, it was not mine. I informed her of that, then she recited my entire social no. At this very moment, not sure what to do.

Well it happend again. Yesterday (Memorial Day) while I was at home. This "Sean Lewis" called me again with the same threats as Darren's. This time he gave a call-back number of 201-234-4071. When I did *69 the number came up as 973-482-3624.
He said he was with a law firm but I couldn't understand the law firm's name. He said there was a pending lawsuit against me for an outstanding payday loan, and he wanted the name and contact information of my lawyer. He was very illiterate and found complete difficulty trying to put words together to explain why he was calling (as if he was unskilled at creating lies on the fly). I could barely hear him, as there was a lot of background noise. He said I am going to lose my job and they are going to come get me today (Tuesday)!
He stated my SS# and I told him I was having the call recorded then he said he was too. I proceeded to tell him I would "send" him the money and I asked what the amount was and he said $1095.87, last time he said I owed $600.00.
The address he gave me was 1432 Hoffman Lane, Campbell Los Angeles. BEWARE OF THESE THIEVES!!!

Yes, I received the same threating call stating that I owe money for a payday loan from this number 1-410-713-4841. He said his name was Sean Lewis. His thick accent was from India or middle eastern! There was a lot of noise in the background. He was so arrorgant!!

It is VERY disturbing. I called the local police and they're having me go to the station right now to file a Witness Statement so they can file a report. They recommended I contact all 3 major credit bureaus and inform them of the situation, as well as go to the Social Security office and see about maybe getting a new SS number...What a headache!

I RECEIVED THE SAME CALL THIS AM  THREATING ME THAT I OWE MONEY I TOLD HIM TO FAX OR EMAIL ME THE INFORMATION THEY HAD ON ME, THEY CLAIM  THEY COULDN'T AND YOU ARE RIGHT I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND A WORD THEY WERE SAYING I EVEN  STATED I COULDNT UNDERSTAND THEM AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO A PERSON THAT SPEAKS ENGLISH  WHICH THEY GAVE ME THERI MANAGER WHO WAS SORSE THEN THE FIRST CLALER  THEY ALSO HADALL MY INFORMATION

I got a call on a pre-paid cell phone I use strictly for an on-line business.  Msg left was a from a woman or young man, sounded like they were calling from a bus terminal or outdoor market.  A bunch of gibberish, read off a script, about lawyers and money.  If I didn't call back, they could only "wish me good luck."  I had a feeling the person couldn't really speak English, and this was some kind of variation on the Nigerian money-laundering scams.

I've never taken out a "payday loan" or even applied for one.  Now I can't wait for them to call back so I can mess with them!

A man named "Toni Shaw" called me at work twice...Once on Monday (5/18/09), and once today (5/20/09). I finally was able to talk to him today. He gave a call-back number of 410-713-4841 and 310-362-9322, both of which ring busy when I try to call back. He said he was with a law firm but I couldn't understand the law firm's name. He said there was a pending lawsuit against me for an outstanding payday loan, and he wanted the name and contact information of my lawyer. He was very illiterate and found complete difficulty trying to put words together to explain why he was calling (as if he was unskilled at creating lies on the fly). I could barely hear him, as there was a lot of background noise, and sounded like a VoIP call. I asked him what personal information he had on file for me. He told me the last 4 digits of my social security number, and I asked him what my "full SS# was", so he spouted off my full social security number, my address, and my dad's name (as a reference)! He was very vague, except when I asked specific questions. I told him I would have to call him back, because I was at work. The only thing I can think of as far as how he got all this information (including my work phone number) is from my filling out a form online for a payday loan, and/or "special offer" that asked for that information (from all those stupid Facebook applications). They are either hacking the servers containing that information, or putting up bogus sites to collect this information from unsuspecting people. BEWARE!
