Got a call today (Sunday) Caller ID said Annapolis, MD 410-919-9483. I answered it because I thought it would be from a potential employer. A woman I could barely understand (volume wise) until she raised her voice asked for me by name and wanted me to donate to Breast Cancer awareness. I said that I have already donated. She continued her mumbo jumbo scam speech and I said that I already donated and hung up

I didn't answer on 3/15/14 at 1:14PM and I can believe they are the Fraternal Order of Police, since they're calling from my state.  Here's a warning, however, I've answered these calls, in the past, and have said NO, I can't give, right now.  They hard sell, but I continue to say no can do.  If you answer and say anything, they send you a pledge card, as if you have said Yes.  They're an extremely shady organization.  Don't get me wrong.  I'm a huge supporter, of the police, and I know that they risk their lives for ingrates, every single day.  But, this organization is not reputable.  They also routinely support political candidates that I don't support, monetarily.  How much of those $$$ are from people who have pledge, hmmmm?

Call came in, answered.  Computer voice picked up and began rattling of a series of numbers - not a phone number - then hung up.

This number 410-919-9483 calls, says nothing and hangs up.  Annoying.  How can I block these random calls?  Already on a do not call list.

Got the same hang-up call again today.

They are not the FOP per se, but tele marketers for them. Very little monies actually goes to them. You would be better off giving directly to your police, sheriff or State Police.

Just came in on my unpublished line.  Might be the FOP, since cops are habitual abusers of the unlisted phone lists.  Their prerecorded message started when my answering machine picked up, because all I got was a female voice saying the digits 847673031.  Seems like most of a phone number, but some quick Googling hasn't uncovered anything.

Thanks for your post identifying it as Fraternal Order of Police.  Yesterday I got a hang up on my machine from 301-957-2777 and today a hang up on my machine from this number.  The other number was also identified as Fraternal Order of Police.  Both are Maryland exchanges.  

Received a call from this number. I called it back. Man answered Fraternal Order of Police.
I politely asked him to call me at a later date. I promptly entered DONATE 2 FOP in my phone's CALLER ID next to this number.

Recieved a call from this number but left no message. Tried calling them back but no answer. Whatever happen to my DO NOT CALL LIST.

Same here. It comes up in the White Pages as Verizon Business Landline in Annapolis, MD. I have started getting calls from peoples person phones soliciting. Some TM mill must have recruited some naive folks and making them use their person phones for the TM business is all I can figure. At least we are reporting and that is a good trail. Any further notes on this number will be a good red flag for blocking. Thanks for listing.

This number has been calling every couple of days for a week. My answering machine picks up on the 4th ring, but they don't even wait that long. If it's not answered in 2 rings, they hang up. I've hesitated to block it because I haven't been able to find any information on it, either here or any of the other unwanted-call reporting sites, and it's in my state. But after three hangups from a number that says Out Of Area, it's obviously not anybody legitimate.

Blocked on my Panasonic cordless phone that has room to store 250 blocked numbers.
