I would be extremely cautious if you receive any call from 410-944-XXXX It is almost certainly a HOUSE in Gwynn Oak, MD and possibly a scam. I have grew up in this area and continue to visit. The only business possibility is the Social Security Administration -outside of that, 944 numbers would be houses and fast food restaurants. This is a suburb outside of Baltimore.

This # has been calling my house phone for years! I never had any problems with telemarketing until I got a computer! I pick up my phone once in awhile and say/yell "STOP CALLING MY HOUSE! I didn't call you for a service so, why are you calling my house?! Leave me the hell alone! They stop calling for a li'l while, couple weeks, then it starts back up again!

410 944-8787, on my caller id, when i called it, says not in service.

Caller doesn't answer - probably telemarketer. I can see that he/she has annoyed others.

Received a call at 11:05 am from this number.  When I answered the telephone, no one responded.  Tried to return call and the recording stated that it was a non-working number.  I have no further information.

No message; when call the number back, get the message that the number is not in service.

These callers are most likely using spoofed numbers that show up in caller ID.  Most likely they're calling from a call center in India.  Observe federal laws about the "Do Not Call" registry?  Are you kidding?  Yes, foreign businesses are required to follow the law, but the US government has no way to enforce the law with companies outside the US.

Received a call from this number (1-410-944-8787) on Thursday, September 29, 2011 @ 3:08 p.m. I attempted to call the number the service on the other end stated this number was not in service.  I contacted the operator and was told the number is not in service.

How can someone contact you on a non-workable number.  What is the deal?

Call . . . no message . . . no one on line.  Return call, get "out of service message."

The problem IS that I get calls without an ID that I recognize that MAY be important to my business.  And, even if that is not the case, I have to stop what I am doing and get to the phone, only to see the ID is nondescript.  It is ANNOYING.  That's the problem.  Glad it doesn't bother you, however.

Got the call from the number, but didn't answer - didn't recognize the location.

For those of you that can, call block does work wonders.  I have Teleblend VoIP (Cheaper than Vonage and pretty much the same features) and I can go online and put the phone number in and BINGO! No more calls from that number.  Or, let your answering machine pick it up after the 2nd or 3rd ring.  It's not a big issue, people.  If they want you, they will leave a number or call back.  

I agree, if you're on the "Do Not Call" list, you shouldn't be getting these.  But, I would bet that you have agreed on some paper, either bank, credit card or something like that, where you will allow calls from 3rd parties or where the company sold your information to another company.  I've seen it on these papers before - lots of us don't read the "Privacy Policy" - we figure they'll be good to us.  HA!

Hanging up no message

I keep getting phone calls from this number!

Answered the phone as I was expecting a call with simliar number. Advertized reverse mortages.

After receiving several calls from 410-944-8787, I reported the number to ftc.gov
Calling back and hearing the phone is no longer in service is frustrating and annoying. The best we can do is report the perps.

Problem is these telemarketers are NOT suppose to be calling people on the do not call list...it's the LAW.
They are supposed to be 'fined' for breaking the law, do you understand this?

They call, don't speak and don't leave a message. Caller ID says Maryland.

wake up...  who wants the telephone ringing with these luciferian wannabe helpers calling all the time.  It is rude and should be unlawful.  Seems many unlawful wrong activities are plaguing us today.  I have great hopes that these things will change for the better soon when Lucifer is driven off this earth.
