Got this call about 5 minutes ago... Guy really peeved me off. Call ID said Home Services.

Thick Indian accent but said his name was Robert, selling duct cleaning services in my area at 50% off. We don't have ducts.

I asked to be removed from their list and -get this- was told No! That got me going!

I explained how that's illegal, and I needed to speak to his supervisor. Was told no one was available. Demanded to speak to someone else who could take me off the list. Was told I could only speak to 'Robert'. I asked him if he was willing to be charged with breaking the privacy law in Canada, and he said Yes. I said wonderful, and proceeded to ask for his company information. He started repeated my home number back to me and hung up halfway through.

Called me on Sunday Sept 5, I didn't answer, called again I put my fax on.  Got lost.

definitely a scam call - heavy accent - very rude and pushy.  When I told him I felt this was a scam call he quickly said he was sending an invoice and hung up.  (he has an incorrect address, ha, ha)

received 4 calls in 5 mnuutes form this number and finally on the fourth call a guy from rogers asked me how i am.   This is so annoying.

whoever owns this number should die! really! got calls and it's a multitude for that matter. this number shows up on my caller ID. 10-15 times a day! No message just breathing and sometimes background noise like they're in an office of some sort! Used up all my voicemail recordings! and this happens almost everyday! im on the verge of changing my phone number that's been with me for 18 years now! i hope someone do something about this! for heavens sake!

try getting at least 10 calls a day from this number and Called me every hour starting at 2am....
Phone company won't do anything about it... sick and tired of this....

Oh I forgot to mention that this guy calls from 3 to 7 times a day within a 5 to 10 min time frame

So I have received calls from these idiots I tell the constantly take me off ur list but this guy is obssesd with me ... He starts making sexualy comments to me and tells. Me I'm sexy .... He apparently selling water heaters or something the name of the company is hydroenergy sometime the number shows up and sometimes it doesn't ... Then one day I geta a call from him and he tells me is selling nice affordable lingerie shipping freee I filed a report wit local police they say to contact the head company there is no company named hydroenergy and I call the ontario energy board they are looking into who these pppl are bc they r not a registered onatario company ... Then I find out that this is a voip number I call voip they say apperntly it isn't a voip number ..... These ppl are sooo dumb I hate telemarketers

Caller ID read: 'Anonymous 1-412-222-2222'.  I told my idiot daughter not to answer it but you know how stupid kids are these days.  When she answers, some a***ipe on the other end of the phone says in a thick East Indian accent: 'Are you the owner of the home?'.  My daughter then hangs up.

Just called me and I was really confused so I googled it to find this page. Name was "Anonymous," I don't think anyone answered though. Really weird.

Here's HOW they got your number:

The contact number you listed, along with your name, is NOT kept private.  It is used for solicitation purposes.

Think twice about the next time you want to win a "gift card".  Don't fill out surveys guys.  This is what happens.  :S

I hate people that think they're great and can get away with breaking the law. Of course his name could be Robert... but... if you don't have ducts then that's just stupid, just got a call like that too... probably you'll never read this again but that sounds frustrating.

Called me and I asked who are you and how do you know my name? They said they were an Air Duct company and they were Indian, I told them that my number was protected and how they got this because they shouldn't have called. The guy apologize and hung up quickly because he thought I was a cop..

412-222-2222 shows on my call display as number from an Adil,  He is a  telemarketer is from India
trying to promote duct cleaning,  calls several times a week  
These  telemarketers call from over seas because the do not call is ignored by them.

5:00am today with ID "home service1"  

They said "Hello... Hello?"  to my rant of "who are you and why the **** are you calling me at 5am?

They then put me on hold for some music.
I know at least 3 calls arrived as they redialled after my answering machine took it, and the call waiting beeped.  
Area code 412 is a Pennsylvania exchange.

ITs usually an automatic dialer. COmpanies use it to see if people answer so they know best times to call for "promotions". Best thing to do is just not answer so they don't know when u are home

i don't know what's going on but my number shows up as a 412 222 2222 number

Got a call from this guy claiming that I have won some prize in a draw, when I asked which store and details, he told me Foodbasics in Mississag which I know I did not enter as I do not live close to there.  I refused further conversation.  This is a scam and watch out.

i think they use this number to scam people. got a call from a guy named nelson and according to him he works for consumers center. he told me i won something from a raffle? which i'm sure i did not join. this is a scam for sure.

got a call... saying they're located in Tampa and that I entered a contest at RIBFEST for a free florida/cruise holiday. which was true... appearantly i won... but they needed my credit card info that moment else it was null!! i could hear the whole call center in the background!

He called just now. I'm in Toronto.
I spoke to the guy... no idea what he's selling because he had a very very strong foreign accent (Indian maybe?). I heard it's tax free, but that's it. I said "not interested" and hung up. The call display said his name was "salman" (all in lower case)

Just received call from 412-222-2222. Again, no answer person hung up.

Twice calls were received from  19492024028 on my cell phone on answering no reply. May be some prank callers. May be some can investigate

when i call from my home phone which is area code 416, this number 1-412-222-2222 shows up on the person's number that i'm calling.  My husband went with a new provider and this so so confusing to me.  He refused to say who the provider is.

Got a call saying it was the national post and they were not selling anything, they would give me a news paper free for 4 months and cancled automaticaly after that peroid.  They needed no personal information just my name an phone number, i said thats personal and how did you get my cell phone number, the lady hung up on me...

Had been called 3 times in 6 minutes so far. It's probably a predictive dialer, that drops 7 lines as soon as one of its 8 lines answers. The system redials when the operator is ready to dial again (My opinion). This is all Voice over IP new systems, undetectable probably, except through the ISP like Rogers maybe here in Toronto. Also that company maybe displaying any number or name they want, its a feature on the portal of these systems. When someone answers, if you're lucky enough to finally talk with them, simply say to be removed from the list. If they have any integrity you may be spared in the future. They now got me too.

Called, asked if i was using bell canada for my phone company, and I hung up.

Called and hunged up, keeps calling and calling

Recieved first call from an unknown number (*67 blocked i'm guessing?) at 6.23 pm, the same day at 7.25 pm i am called by 1-412-222-2222. In both cases i pick up say 'Hello?' twice into complete silence, and am hung up on. Both calls last 7 seconds. I tried to call back the many-2'd number but got a pre-recorded male voice after the first ring that told me my call could not be completed.
