This must be a bait and switch. THe message says I have a problem with my cars warranty and I need to clear this matter up immediately by Pressing #1. None of my vehicles have a warranty left.

What is the NDCR? I am also being plagued by these people and I don't know what to do about it.

Our company is C.R. Crain Company in South Carolina. Our number is 864 235-6107. All week long we have had people calling asking us if we called their number. WE DID NOT!!! We do commercial plumbing and piping.
I called the telephone service and they said this must be some type of scam.
One of the people I talked to said that the number that called her was 412 235-6107; but when she called the number back; it rang our telephone.
So just remember; THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! Everyone needs to report it. We do not know who is doing this yet. We will find out!!

pamela 2008-03-04 16:33:12 Unknown
Called and said that I needed to press 1 to "clear up this matter" or "I'd be responsible for any repairs" I also think it's a con....

I called Global Crossing about the calls from (412) 235-6107, and they advised that the number belongs to RNK at 877.323.2486. Customer service there advised that they are going to "look into it."

I received a call at my office from, a recording from some woman stating it was and EMERGENCY!! PRESS 1 OR I WILL BE LIABLE FOR REPAIRS!!!! I just purchased a Brand New Cadillac that has a 10 year Warranty on it Bumpr to Bumper. They tried telling me that I was wrong, that there was not a warranty on my vehicle. I of course did not give them any information about what I own or where I was and they eventually hung up. I also reported them to the Attorney General's office for ophone scams and for violating the DNC list.

Wow...you're kind of a jerk there...aren't you Marcus? What the heck does it matter?
Kristen 2008-03-04 04:52:49 Unknown
They called us today so I reported them to the NDCR...if enough people report them then maybe some action will be taken against the company.

They have called several times - hubby just hung up - but I'm not as nice. When the lady asked for my vehicle make and model, I told her she must have that info as she called me. She said the computer called me. I asked how does the computer know my vehicle is out of warranty? Who provides that information for input? She kept saying the computer does the dialing. I finally told her my phone number and if I got another phone call, I was going to report them for violating the Do No Call policy.
I had received the same type of calls for help with my credit card debt and rates from "Consumer Services", also located in Florida. A few months ago, I gave them my number to be removed from the computer. Have not received a called since then.

Call Type: Recorded message on my answering machine by manic woman sounding like one of those crazy TV used car ads. Subject: Matter of an expired car warranty that needed to be "cleared up" urgently.
Complaint lodged with
https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I suggest everyone else do the same. Simple and fast.

I got this call today and only could hear the part that said I would be responsible for all repairs because it was on my answering machine. I have been trying to look up the info on reverse phone sites! I would NEVER have guessed a car warranty telemarketer. Thanks for this site!!

numerous calls about car warranty. have tried calling global crossing to no avail. I would like these calls stopped.
JLH 2008-03-03 23:10:27 Unknown
Message left on voice mail: Female voice, panicked, telling that we might be liable for any "repairs" if we don't press "1" to "clear up this matter"; Press "2" "if this has already been done to update our accounts". .... Yeah, right. When attempted to return call, busy signal. Glad I found out this is a scam!!
milfmama 2008-03-03 23:04:58 Unknown
yes they were asleep and the phone rang for about 3 min...

Muffy 2008-03-03 23:01:14 Unknown
Saw the number in my caller ID and wondered who it was. THinking it was family, I tried to call it back but only got a busy signal. I "Googled" it and found all the posts about a possible scam. Boy! I'm glad I saw all this! THanks for the heads up. All it said in the caller ID was "Pennsylvania Call".

This is the 3rd warranty scam call I've gotten in the past week (2 to my home number and 1 to my cell). This is really getting aggravating.
oldandfeeble62 2008-03-03 22:05:50 Unknown
Recieved call at 5 PM. A females voice in a panic telling me there is some kind of emergency and to press 1. I have a hearing problem and they hung up. I do have caller ID but I wasn't given the naame of the company calling. This is stress I don't need as I just returned home from surgery. Something needs to be done about these calls.

Someone called from this number and started saying the warranty on one of our cars has expired and despite repeated mailers we havent responded. So this is final call to extend the warranty. I told him my husband takes care of all this and you better talk to him, he says once I hang up you will not get this offer again and you will have to pay full amount for nay repair to your car. I again told him you better talk to my husband and I can give you his number or you give me your number. He said i cant do that, then I told him either you talk to my husband or I dont care if I have to pay more or less for any repait to my car and he just hung up. Seems like a new Scam in making... :)

I called global crossing and made my complaint, she apparently knew about it since she asked if it was about auto warranties. I suggest everyone calling Global Crossing at 1-800-400-0446 whenever you get these calls. Maybe they will get booted.
Kisfm 2008-03-03 20:10:51 Unknown
These people called and said something about my car warranty. I said "I don't have a car that you have anything to do with" and the person just kept saying "What is the make and model of your car". I then told them I have a company car and they hung up immediately. When I try to call the number back it gives me a busy signal, regardless of when you call.
Boz 2008-03-03 18:22:41 Unknown
Correct. That's why it's now called "Grobal Crossing" :-D
ADRedling 2008-03-03 18:21:07 Unknown
Global Crossing? That's now a Chinese-owned company if memory serves me correctly!!
ADRedling 2008-03-03 18:19:50 Unknown
These folks have called repeatedly. I finally answered the call to advise them to "put me on your 'DO NOT CALL' list and the line just went dead! I'm so angry I could scream. So what's the use of the DONOTCALL list (national and state) if these jerks ignore it? Is there a legal recourse since we know the phone number?
