Just got a call from this number. I did not answer. Came in on my cell. I do not have physicians at the Allegheny Health System and family that does generally will generally use their cell phones.

Maybe it was someone YOU knew and they were calling you while there?

sounds like a patient called out of the hospital to your number and miscalled and got you.  Sounds like either a pysch patient or an elderly dementia patient.  Don't blame it on the hospital if their patients call out and mis dial.  Its no different than if the guy called from his home phone number then.

sounds like someone misdialed when sending a fax.  You got an automatic redial on a fax machine then.

If you're getting this on your caller ID, then don't just assume it is from billing, ANYONE who calls out of there, whether they're a patient or a friend of yours who works there, will have this number show on your caller ID, no matter what department they are calling out on.  When I call my daughter at home its on the caller ID.  This number confuses my mom all the time when she tries to call it back.  LOL, I tell her to remember my office number.  So don't just assume this is billing related.  Perhaps a friend or family member are calling you while visiting the Allegheny Health Network at AGH.

My cell phone is receiving incoming faxes from this number! ... Every 5-minutes, "EEEEEAAAAAAWWWWW" ... This is a business cell phone # ... Please, for the love of god, please make this stop! .. This is reminding me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer has Elaine install a fax machine at her house so that Kramer can receive faxed coupons to local area restaurants.

If your doctor is in the west penn / allegheny network then they'll bill through agh.

I just received a call, it rang only once I picked up right away (being at work) and as soon as I answered the call ended. I never heard anything on their end. Me and my family have not been to AGH hospital recently, I have no reason to be in their system. This is odd.

Sounds like a fax machine was calling you from one of the WPAHS numbers.

The thing about this number is that it is the main trunk number that will show up no matter where in the health system it was called from.  It could have originated in a doctor's office, a hospital, even a patient's bed side phone will show up with this number when dialing out of that wpahs telephone trunk line.

That is standard for any hospital to have financial information on a patient before surgeries are done.  If you didn't have the surgery done at this hospital, any other would have done the same.  Its standard financial procedures.  There was nothing illegal, annoying, or unusual in receiving this call.

This call is originating from Allegheny Hospital (AGH) in Pittsburgh PA.  Anytime someone calls out of AGH, no matter where in the hospital the call was made from, this is the number that will appear on your caller ID each and every time.  This is done at the switch board.  In fact, it is in practice by UPMC and most every hospital in the nation so that when doctors call patients, patients aren't provided unlisted office numbers to the doctor's private offices.  The down side to this is that if there's a patient admitted and he/she calls out?--you're going to get this general telephone number on your caller ID.  Or if a clinic or office calls to verify your insurance and/or visit/procedure you have scheduled for them?--you're going to get this number.  If you have an outstanding debt with AGH for any deductibles or copay and the hospital's accounts payable office needs to follow up with you?--you're going to get this number.  If you should know anyone that works at AGH and they call you?--you are going to get this number.  This is a generic caller ID number provided for any of these scenarios.  How do I know?  I work at AGH and my mom gets confused when she sees this number pop up on her phone when she knows it's not the number to my desk.  Hope that helps you all.

I got a call from this guy and he started yelling that the alien invasion starts next week.

I got a call from this number when someone was in AGH but they left no message.

Called me, I picked up, no one there. I called the number back and it said "Hello you have reached Allegheny General Hospital. This number is the caller id we put on all outgoing calls. If you did not get a message from whoever called and you are only geting this number from caller id there is no way we can tell you who called you."

It's a man calling himself  " Rich ", we called the hospital to complain after the 8th call. He called our home 10 times, if you get a call from this man, asking for anyone at your residence or any info at all about you or your family, you should call the police. This man is obviously crazy. We did warn him that we reported the phone calls to the authorities and that he is not to call back ever again.

They called me 5 times in one hour--no one was ever there.  When I picked up, it was a beep.  The voicemail left was also a beep and a hang up.  Very strange.

this number called asking for payment on a surgery i didnt even have yet, asked for credit card or debit card numbers.

I keep receiving calls and all I get is a beep when I answer the phone.

I received a phone call from 412-359-3595. My phone only rang like 3 or 4 times and the caller hung up.  The caller left no voice mail.
