DNC list exclusions are as follows:

Any company that you have done business with or it subsidiary, Any company that works for or on behalf of any company you have previously done business with.

This is not telemarketing. It appears to be a company that is being paid by a company you did business with, looking either for input from you for the company improvement or a satisfaction survey, both of which are well within the boundaries of calling you anytime they like.  

Also keep in mind when you tell them that the number they have is incorrect it will be reported back to the original company and then deleted.  You may be losing out by not providing correct information, you also lose the chance to speak your mind about a company good or bad.

I find these calls can be annoying, but it is a company you deal with or have dealt with trying to reach out to you and get an opinion.

Think of it as call from Nielsen ratings, you can complain, they are calling as you do business with a cable company and they want your opinion or narrative on your TV habits.   This would fall into protected calls.

I do not work for this company, but I am tired of hearing of people say what is and is not acceptable calling and including the DNC as their Savior.   Its a fact of doing business, or being the head of business, people want to talk to you and get your feedback......why dont you complain about all the companies begging for your feedback on receipts, or telling you that you will win something by answering a few questions.  Same practice....stop whining..

Got a call at my work for our manager. They are a consulting firm that does research. Wanted to do a survey about small business banking.

To everyone -
Fact 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work!  Everyone knows this...or should know this!
Fact 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total waste of time.  Done that.
Fact 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list does not work!
Fact 5 - no "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy.   Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They?re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd. wireless handset.  And they work beautifully!  These phones also block ?PRIVATE?, ?OUT OF AREA? and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every imaginable call list.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.  THEY CAN?T GET THROUGH!
We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM THESE JOKERS.
THIS TIME I ANSWERED "HELLO" RATHER THAN OUR BUSINESS NAME.
THEY ASKED FOR THE OWNER BY NAME.  
I SAID "WHO?"
AGAIN THEY ASKED FOR THE OWNER BY NAME.  
TOLD THEM THAT THIS WAS MY RESIDENCE AND NO ONE WAS HERE BY THAT NAME.
I AM DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR A 2 LINE PHONE SYSTEM (FOR OUR HOME/OFFICE) THAT HAS CALL BLOCKING.  
WE HAVE THE CALL BLOCKING FEATURE ON OUR HOME TELEPHONE (PANASONIC) AND TELEMARKETER CALLS HAVE DROPPED TO NEARLY ZERO.

RECEIVED A CALL ON MY BUSINESS LINE THIS MORNING - 9:23am.

BUSINESS PHONES ARE EXEMPT FROM THE DNC LIST, SO THERE WAS NO NEED TO ASK TO BE TAKEN OFF THEIR CALL LIST.  AT THE LEAST, I KEPT THEM BUSY LONG ENOUGH TO NOT CALL AND WORRY SOMEONE ELSE.

Schmidt Consulting. They called my work number and left a message reguarding an industry specific survey they want me to participate in. They've called and left messages several times so far. I've been dodging their calls. I hope they give up soon.

Never used this co. Am on unlisted do not call lit- I blocked their number . They also use another number, same called ID shows.

called my cell, Suntrust bank as reported above, however I had no buz with them at all.  I am on the do not call list also.

Just found out they are doing follow-up calls for Suntrust Bank.  Everything's ok.

Called home looking for Company I closed years ago (different #'s).  Didn't leave message.
