Have been called often by this number. Man claims I am in arrears in card payments for a card I have never had. Claims if I pay up my interest rate will be lowered to six percent. He will not believe I live in Canada. He claims I in some way am using a fake phone number. At eighty years of age,I have not a clue how to go about such a scam !

Caller ID says "private caller" Hangs up after 2 rings. does not leave message.

when "out of area" appears on my caller id I refuse to answer.  they never leave a message so I know it's no one of importance. in the past I have answered only to be hung up on.    I'm so sick of these callers!

This is the 3rd different number from area code 413 that has showed up on my Caller ID this month. One was supposed to be a survey for CDC, Two was supposed to be "Breast Cancer Society" and tonight seems to be Card Services. Caller Id for this one is MASSACHUSETTS. Go away!! I'm not giving you money or info. Get a real job.

More articulate scam, Rachel upgraded. Worse, I could not get them off my phone line. Call the FTC at 877-382-4357. Open a complaint, keep the number, keep reporting these guys. It takes time but it helps for several months.

Yup.  Got this call tonight at 5:12 with my hands in raw chicken! This is our OWN area code.  Saw the "000" exchange and KNEW it was SPAM.  Let it go to answering machine; it began spewing its message as our machine's outgoing message was playing but disconnected at the beep!  Sounds to me like they don't want to get recorded with their spam message - something about 'your credit card account'.  We pay our bills ON TIME and IN FULL each month so I don't think there is any 'issue' they can help us with.

THEN, at 6:22 got ANOTHER one of these calls from "000-000-0000"

but that one is programmed into my call blocker!  So it only got to 1.5 rings and then was told, "The number you have reached will NOT accept you call!" and them MY machine HANGS UP on THEM!

Received several calls from this MA number. I know this area code. Luckily I let it ring. It left no messages.

Same idiot scammers from "Card Member Services".  This time it was "Samantha" in the prerecorded message.  Feeling feisty, I pressed the number to speak with someone and played innocent for a moment before asking, "Why do you persist in this (bleeping) scam?"  The man immediately snarled, "F*** you, b****!"  I replied in kind and with much satisfaction.  This is the second time I've recently been given the f-bomb from these people/person.  Apparently, trying to scam people is tough, stressful work.  It must be a sign of their abysmally low level of intelligence that they persist calling people who KNOW it's a scam.  Or maybe they're just gluttons for punishment.  I'm betting it was the same guy who called a month ago from 253-245-4798 and snarled, "F*** this!  I'm not going through this s*** with these people every day!" as he disconnected.  He must have a short memory as well as low intelligence and a very small pickle.

just received a call.  left a voicemail. when tried to access my voicemail there were a few rings.  hung up.
this has never happened before. ?  does this mean i will need to start ignoring voice mail too?  insidious.
