Called my cell a second time today. Again, I did not pick up the phone and never will.
Just an FYI, picking up and slamming down the receiver will not effect these Harrassers at all. There's a lag time between when a phone is picked up on our end and the call is then routed to a live telemarketer. This is also why the won't disconnect until well after an answering machine picks up. These pests are lower than scum.

Caller ID said "public assistance". I don't need any public assistance. Another ROBO call and the Do Not Call Registry has failed AGAIN!

SCAM..."electric rate reduction" SCAM
3 month old scam using fake numbers to block their identity
transmission of a "fake" telephone number is a federal offense
don't waste time treating them as an illegal telemarketer who violates do-not-call laws
THEY ARE TRANSMITTING FAKE CALLER ID
THEY WANT ANY INFO YOU CAN GIVE THEM
don't enter any numbers on your phone-you will not be removed from their future calls

Hung up on my cell. Don't ever answer if you don't recognize the number. If it's sn important call, they will leave a message!

Recording message claims they can lower my Con Edison bill. I push 0 and was connected to their customer service and they insisted I look up my bill. I told them I only have online statement and she hung up abruptly.
This appears to be another scam and don't fall for it.
