Just received a call from "Mary Turner" from Summitt basically shoveling the same tired lines...which didn't bother me except when I said I didn't remember signing up for any contest she hung up...apparently a lack of manners, and the inability to earn an honest living elsewhere, is who these companies try to hire...it's sad so rather than holler at them maybe we should just feel sorry for them for their pathetic jobs?

Same thing happened at event my wife and I recently attended. It was a home show. The man at the booth was very truthful and told us that by signing up for the Home Depot card we were also going to receive a call from a timeshare resort. He went so far as to explain what would happen in depth and pointed out the disclaimer on the back of the entry form. He said he himself was a consumer and wished the truth be told to him under similar circumstances. We thought his honesty was terrific and I filled out one of the entry forms. I knew I would get called by the resort(which I did) and I knew I could simply say no when they called(which I did). That man at the booth should be praised for his honesty. We have attended many home shows and filled out things for contests where we found out later that the person at the booth lied through the teeth.

Why would anyone who says they could care less respond to something if they really could care less? Responding shows a thought process of actually being bothered. Bothered is an emotion that caused you to respond. By responding to an emotion you actually showed you do care thus making your statement totally without basis or fact.
You actually DO the thing you say you DON'T.

What's your point?
Sherry 2014-04-01 22:42:27 Unknown
I filled out a form to win a Home Depot card at a local Home Show. I thought it was Home Depot advertising but realized before leaving the Home Show it had nothing to do with Home Depot other than winning a gift card from them. I've had several messages on my answering machine from a Marshia telling me I won a gift packet and I can call her for the details. Caller ID says WJD Enterprises and when I google it Summit Vacations pops up. Another timeshare call.

Some of these posts are pathetic. One of the people above is actually a person who goes to multiple complaint posts and tries either correctly or not to criticize the people that are complaining.
Simply google the name of some of the individuals above who don't have what are considered common names and who are criticizing others, and find out they are morons that do this stuff all over the internet.
That said, my legitimate complaint is that this company calls way too often, even after being told to stop.

One should never give out their phone numbers on these posting sites. Now you open yourself up to getting calls from all types of people.

The company deals with resorts in new england. Same thing happened to us. We filled out a contest slip at an event and soon got call about the vacation. It's not a scam nor do they sell your information. They simply seem like a resort booking company and call to see if you want to see a ninety minute presentation at a resort. It is our decision whether we want to go or not(we chose not to go). I believe they don't sell the information because we have only gotten the calls from this company. The one thing that is bothersome though is that they keep calling until they can talk to you live or until you give them a firm answer on whether you will go to the resort. We had to finally tell them NO, and put us on their do not call list.

Hi there.
My fiance went to a wedding show and must have signed up with them somewhere. She got a call - very excited to have won free airline tickets BUT we have to go see a 90 minute presentation. She gave lots of information to this person like my name and age and where we live and possibly more though I didn't talk with them or give consent for her to do so. I knew it was a scam right after she started talking about it. I am concerned with that they now have information about her and I to some random bloodsucking company.
Since you know a former employee do you get the feeling that they use information for any nefarious purposes?

The simple fact of the matter is that it is going to be impossible for you to gain the moral high ground here as what you have written is both completely unprofessional and downright offensive. In addition complaints against this telephone number date back to 2007 on this thread, so you can protest all you like, but most sensible people reading this thread will know to avoid you and your company like the plague. Your suggestion Nan or anyone else writing bad reviews against your company must be a fellow competitor is a tried and tired line commonly used by scammers on this site every single day of the week. Regardless, your attitude and language as demonstrated by your reply will actually dissuade people from using your company more so than anything I can say - what a delicious own-goal that was, fool.

hey there "nan" if that is your real name lol. Talk about lacking brains you lead the pack!!!!! First there are like six posts in six months out here or about one per month on average yet your response to me was the same exact day I commented on someone else. What are the odds on that? Second you cannot even add correctly. Any first grader knows October when Margaret posted to December when our company posted is two months repeat two month not three you dimwit. Third our company did have a post on this site less than a week after we saw Margarets comments, and our reply was very similar and to the same points, yet someone(possibly you? or your girlfriend Maggie) erased it. Fourth how would I know the number to look up in the first place?, you are a moron I am a weekend phone rep for the company who is having these posts written against it. I work the weekend shift and several of us are told to check these posting sites for customer complaints. That s*** for brains is how I know the number, der you moron I call from that number. Fifth if you have any complaints with how me or other phone reps do our work then call the company Monday thru Friday and complain. The office phone number is 413-499-8940. Finally anyone reading these posts can see either you are a competitor trying to cause problems or some pathetic loser with nothing better to do or if you are real "nan" then you and your lying girlfriend "Margaret" should come up with better crap to come to this site with. Perhaps tonight when the two of you fat a***s are snuggled in your bed in your doublewide trailer u can come up with something better. Please feel free to call the corporate number if you feel offended.

I got called earlier today from this number. Said I won something then they hung up.
Nan 2013-12-28 18:26:18 Unknown
Has it entered what passes for your brain that the post you are replying to was made in October. Have you really nothing better to occupy yourself with than replying to three month old posts and what made you look up the number in the first place? Not only that, if you are a sample of the company's employees, then you do not deserve to have customers.
phone room rep 2013-12-28 17:30:02 Unknown
1) The company does not leave any such messages-----YOU LIE
2) Date of post is BEFORE any of the leads even went to phone reps. How is that possible?------YOU LIE
3) YOU said in YOUR own writing that you "didn't sign up for anything" So how is it possible for you to get a call if the information NEVER EXISTED------YOU LIE
4) ALL PROOF THAT YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A [removed:lang]

This company calls me and leaves a message to call them since I have won something. Do not enter drawings for this reason. They are just a source of phone numbers for them to try to sell stuff.

I keep getting called from this company. The calls have been about once or twice a week for the last year. I had told them to stop calling on numerous occasions. I foolishly filled out some entry form at a mall. Now the calls won't stop.

Why the hell am I receiving calls from this number? I have received five calls today. Please leave me alone with this harrassment
HeatherraeVT 2013-12-05 20:12:44 Telemarketer
I filled out an entry at the mall for a 500 mall gift card, however I read the back of entry, knew I would likely receive a call back trying to sell me a timeshare. The call I got, which I have the two voicemails recorded, INDEED, said I had WON a prize, not that I had been selected to win. No mention of timeshare. I called back, stating that I was concerned it was a scam, Mary Turner was the woman's name from the company- she called me back and left a message, again I have it saved, stating that I had won a prize that I never filled out an entry for. After doing all my research, some people felt it was a scam, including one of the company's former employees.....

Received a call from this number....I didn't pickup. They left a message saying I had won a package from my recent visit to the Topsfield Fair. While I was at the fair, I didn't sign up for anything and I don't know how they got my number or even know I was there! Scary.

This number's location is PITTSFIELD, Massachusetts, NOT Holyoke/Northampton/Chicopee. We have a TELEMARKETING FIRM here; they are on NORTH STREET (but I cannot remember the name, so cannot look it up for all of you.)
We ALSO have a 'resort' called ***JIMINY PEAK*** that SELLS TIME SHARES. THEY might be the one calling.
Call 413-738-5500 and ask them to TAKE YOU OFF THEIR CALL LIST.
Its entirely possible that our LOCAL TELEMARKETING FIRM has been hired by JIMINY to do their telemarketing.
