They just faxed an employment verfication to my work. I told them months ago they couldnt call and they still did. Little do they know the only fax machine is in MY office. What would they do with the verification if they even got it on someone? Looking at it the employee actually has to sign it to "demonstrate voluntary compliance".

I have been receiving calls also and so has my family and employer. My employer called me and said they call everyday. She gave me the number and the name federal check processing I looked it up on line and saw all of these post. I called them to ask what it was about said fraudulent check writing. I asked several questions about the debt and she said I see you are refusing to settle this matter and hung up. She called my employer and tech support administrator for information, called me back saying the names of who she talked to and that I would be dealt with on Monday by my employer so it was in my best interest to call her back. I verified at work that she did call them. I called back another girl spoke to mecand then told me I by asking all these questions I see you are trying to get out of this? I said I didn't even understand why they keep calling, I've never received anything from them in writing about committing fraud and she changed my call to a manager who wants me to pay 125.00 to them for six months. Im fearful I may loose my job because of their harassing me and my employer. What do I do?

Yes, they can. But it needs to be class action from the state you reside in.
If you want to have fun, call them and ask for their address, et al.....100% sure you'll be 'hung up on"!! But call them 20-30 times in a row (w/ caller ID blocked) and they will get the message........

I have been 100% verbally harassed and thretned by a company who calls them selves Federal Processing. To the point that I will need to change my phone # after 30 yrs. I tried at length to get their address, phone # et al, yet when I call them back they hang up, up, up........they even went as far as threatening to have me "arrested" in my state (CA) by downloading evidence against me and a poor/unpaid debt. As I am versed in the Credit collection laws I have asked them to ceases and destist their every 10 minute harassment calls, but to no avail. Am contacting my legal council re: a 'class action lawsuit" against said co. If anyone is "on board" please advise. CA residents only.

I got two calls from them where they left messages and they are calling my boss. I do not owe a debt but had used a payday loan service about a year ago. I filed a complaint with the AG since they are in violation of FDCPA, insinuating they are with a federal agency (office of the federal check processing, giving a document number), threatening arrest, they are commiting defamation of character (telling my boss I am writing bad check, I have HOT CHECKS all over the place and they are issuing a warrant for my arrest with the sheriffs dept). The have to provide verification that they validated the debt within the initial 30 day period, and until they have positive proof the debt is owed can not try to collect a debt. Ask for the original contract or loan documents (note that the statue of limitations is very short in some states and most likely even if they could come up with the document the debt would be out of the SOL). They must provide the name and address of the original creditor, payment history of the debt etc. Get their address, file a cease and desist, file a complaint with their states atty general, and if needed sue them for not following FDCPA regulations.

Well, I'm happy to learn that I'm not alone in this problem. I finally called "Mr. Wolf" back at the number he left and what do you know, it was a generic message, in his voice, telling the caller to select the agent's extension or press zero for an operator. That's when I decided to get online and find out who I was dealing with. This is one of numerious sites filled with boards asking advice about these "collectors".

I did have a loan with CNU that I couldn't pay off and they have since sold off my debt to them. As a "revenge" to us that don't pay or even to the victims who's info may have been used to obtain a loan, companies like CNU sell off our information to the vultures without remorse. These vulture companies are NOT entitiled to our money that may or may not have been owed. Any money they collect from us will NOT repair our credit. Therefore, do NOT give them any of your personal information!!!

Don't be scared to tell them they are no longer allowed to contact you or anyone else associated with your "case". If they continue to harrass you, your friends or your family then report them.

These people called my ex-husbands cousin looking for me and then my boyfriends grandmother's house claiming that they are investigating me for fraud. I took the number down 1-888-792-3330 and called them back. They claimed that I had broken the law in my county and that if I paid $767 in two bi-weekly payments that I would not be prosecuted for fraud. I did have a payday loan and it is delinquent because I got behind on bills. They scared the crap out of me!!! I couldn't understand why a company in NY would be handling this and not the local authorities if I was really being investigated for check fraud. i don't know what to do about this. This is ridiculous.

I am getting calls from Fed Check Processing. I asked if they was a collection agency and they said no. They have to tell you they are collecting a debt. They said my husband is going to jail. I recorded every call and hired a lawyer. Check your state laws on recording phone calls and tape them.

I too have been receiving calls from them. They actually called my job and told my boss that I had committed check fraud and that they were coming to pick me up. He then called my job a second time about an hour later, trying to get information from another employee. She wouldn't give him any information so he said when he came to get me, she would be investigated too for interfering with an investigation. I was scared at first but then I realized if I was really be investigating for check fraud, dont you think the investigator would talk to me in person not over the phone. They are a scam. I do owe Cashnet and I am about to write them and report them for this. Something needs to be done. If anyone else sues them, I would be glad to help.

I have also received calls from this company, a Mr. Wood. He also called my sisters work and my boyfriend?s office. He threatened to have me arrested, criminal charges are pending in my county. They have broken many of the FDCPA rules and regulations; using scare tactics to collect a debt. I have saved all voicemails that Mr. Wood has left and I have documented all conversations; times & dates. I will be filing a complaint against this company to the FDCPA. I will not work with this company.
BTW: no one has been arrested for being delinquent on a debt since the civil war.

ok people i hope this helps, do not admitt anything to these people listen to what they say and respond with i dont know what you are talking about. tell them you reported them to the local police, attorney generals office and the real federal athorities and bbb. tell them its a federal offense to impersonate a federal agency and they are violating the FDCPA. say all this and they will never call you again tell them you have a pending law suit against them and they are not allowed to even call you. they are lieing to you so... trust me you wont even finish repeating what ive wrote and they will hang up. we should all ban together and file a class action law suit against them im in are you... hope this helps if you owe cash usa dont pay them this harrasment voids your arrangment and they cant do a thing about it, just through the mail away and ignore them. they scam everyone, and even if they could take you to court they would have to take 1/3 of the country to court but they cant. live your life and keep your money dont worry be happy, fu..them

Guy says his name is Robert Wolf.  Gave me a toll free number when I asked for his contact information.  888-792-3330.  He claimed to be investigating a check fraud case and was looking for another individual.  I informed him that I am on the do not call list and further, CEASE and DESIST from calling me at anytime.  Filed the report with FCC and CA Consumer affairs.  This is another rogue debt collector that pushes the envelope and voilates as many laws as they can, collects as much money as they can before the feds slap them with a minimum fine.  The fine is not enough to detour their unlawful behavior and they consider it a cost of doing business.  Get your loud referree whistles next to the phone; its fun.

This 'Robert Williams' called my dad's house. He said that he was an officer with the agency and I had written bad checks. He said that I don't have a record, so he was trying to talk with me to get it cleared up. My dad gave him my cell # and he never called me. I never received a phone call from him. I have never written bad checks, or taken out a payday loan. I don't understand why I got this phone call. My husband has reported him to the FBI, the Federal Marshals, and the WI state police. There are tons of complaints against this company from the BBB. I would suggest not giving them ANY personal information. If he was really an officer, he would already have the information. For example, he asked my dad if my mom's name was Sharon. It's not.

They say I have felony charges being put against me it is important that I call them back. The woman says she thinks it is a mistake that it is very important that I call her back as soon as I get this message. Then after trying to find them on the internet I found this site. They must be nuts to think I will call them back.

Yes, when they call you need to tell them not to call your job. If they keep calling tell them that they are in violation of Fair debit Credit Protection Agency (FDPCA). Your rights as a consumer that they are harresing you and you are going to file against them and they cannot create a debt to collect a debit so they do not have the right to call your cell phone.
