I have no idea who these people are but they've called our number twice looking for somebody who hasn't lived here in at least three years. They got very nasty with my mother when she told him we have no idea who ''Mariah Williams'' is.

Yes i would like to say that this company is a gold digger. The people that work there are fake and rude, and for the record do not by into their s***' because they are scam artists. They got some of my money but it won't happen again and you can take that to the bank. If Timothy Howard is reading this i pray that God have mercy on you for the way  you talk to customers. God has a place for people like you and its called "HELL"

Tom howard is the guys name. He will threaten you with check fraud. I did my research people. I called harris county check fraud division and statute of limitations it two years. He needs to stop calling or i will report him to fbi.

They called saying they are going to come to my home tomorrow to serve me with papers and for me to call this number so they can stop the filing. i dont know what to do...

Check the court record for the how the court summons was supposed to be served to you.  Junk debt buyers like to use people who do what is called Sewer Service.  They will deliberately claim to have served you at an old address or location you never were at, so you do not know about being sued

This guarantees NO-Shows in court so they get an automatic default judgement against you. They cannot prove you owe the debt so they DO NOT WANT YOU TO SHOW UP

However if you were never notified about the court date - you can get the judgement overturned.

You must also file a complaint with the TX State Bar association against the debt collection lawyer for fraud.. as well as the TX state attorney general for illegal debt collection practices

I too have been getting calls from them on 03/01/12 told me that a judgement will be filed for a loan i took out in 08? i looked with Harris county i have a judgment for 1358.92 from a loan that was under 300 how is that possible

I got 3 calls from them...a different number but all telling me I owed a debt and to call 414-431-5182.  This is impossible as I have filed bankruptcy twice.  It is a total scam.  I called my attorney this morning and this is a scam.  You have rights under the FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS ACT.  Read up on it and call an attorney for some free advice.  You can file an action against the company.  These people are harassing me AT WORK and actually faxed an employment verification to my HR department.  They're good...I'll give you that...but a hoax.  And some people are scared and falling for it and that is why they continue to do it...it works.  They harass, threaten, and scare.  Report it and read up on it.  You have rights!

First the call was from 4144314546.  This call was about a payday loan that was not paid back in 2007.
I was told that they had emailed me and sent me numerous notifications.  That was incorrect.  I told them I would like to resolve this matter but I first needed some information.  The email that I received was very questionable. ( from the law firm of Goldberg Maxwell from a Failth Galloway)  All of this happened before I realized that this could possibly be a scam.  They have since tried to contact me and my place of employment.  I have told them to stop calling me and my employer. What is the next step?
