Call them back repeatedly and say nothing until they hang up, drives them nuts, wastes their time and hopefully will keep them busy enough to reduce the number of outgoing calls they can make. received a call from this number today at my work and on my cell, they told me I owe them 1,063.00, Anderson and Thompson law firm is who they say they are, and that I owe cash America they told me authorities were going to show up at my home and take me to court. I have never heard of that before.  when I told them I was going to investigate their company they became hostile he told me he was going to use his powers to make me pay.  any way when I asked for an address I got this one its 1613 f**k lane prostitute building next to my home.  and this is a law firm?

I had the same thing happen to me, and I checked it out, it is illegal for them to try to take you to court, as a matter of fact they are not even legit, they just try to do that to scare people. You have nothing to worry about. The guy that called me said on a thurs that the police were going to come to my job on monday and arrest me for fraud or whatever. So of course I was a little scared because I am not a criminal and did nothing wrong. Monday comes, and poof, no cops, it was all just a tactic to get me scared and to try to get personal information out of me. Damn scammers.

It's a scam from India, that use's VOIP. Some how they got your information via a online application. You should contact the FTC and file a complaint. Also place fraud alerts with the credit companies.

I am getting a call on my cell to a Sarah which is not my name, threatening that she committed a federal crime.  He calls himself Henry Davis.  I am sick of it.

I Rex's a call from this number. They said the same thing to me that everyone else is saying. I informed them I knew they were a scam and hung up on them.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I just got the same call from Eric. He called my cell twice, then he had the nerve to call my job. VERY PISSED!!!!

I just got a message from Eric Gibson, from the Wisconsin Investigative Department saying how I was very rude to hang up in his face .... Also, that the authorities and the local sheriff's department is coming to take me and I must be in custody for 7 days for investigation and they might even come to my job to arrest me ... He then proceeded to tell me to pack my bags for the surprise of my life that I will be behind bars for at least 6 months .... I called back and told them that my bags are packed to come on down!!!! Such BS!!!

No one can trace these calls because they using communication devices to re route the calls .... They are calling from over seas, like INDIA ... and its nothing but a scam ... some people beleieve them and send money ... but I do assure you that its TOTAL BULL---!!!!

This company started calling me about 2 months ago, I got irate and they stopped calling now the calls have started again. Is there a Law firm that can track these calls so that I can sue for harrassment. They have started to call my job and this really needs to stop. I asked them for the company name and they never give me one. They said they would see me in court and I'm waiting but they just continue to harrass mewith no court date in site.
