I called it back & call can't go through try call again later?

Just got a call from that number too...no one spoke, and then hung up.  I simply put them in my *Blocked List*.

then the phone companys are incouraging them ...they should NOT be allowed to show false info

They keep calling me and when I answer, I hear nothing.  They have done this for a week 3 or 4 times a day.

This phone number called today and my dad answered. They were asking for my mom, saying they were from 'Classes and Careers.' When my dad said 'huh?' because we'd never heard of it before, she (b*tchily) said 'Claaaaaasssses and Caaaarreeeeeeeers' like he was special. So, in awe at this lady's gall, my dad said nothing and she snapped 'Nevermind!' and hung up. I promptly looked up the number and I'm glad that it didn't go beyond that. I hope they won't be getting repeat phone calls!

We recently received a phone call from a Jamaica phone number, saying we?d won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes, and to pay $75 to Federal Express when they came by the next day to deliver my $500,000 PCH check, for a ?stamp of approval.?  Confirmed that this is a scam. The caller called back several times again. Reported that callers name and phone number, with details, to PCH, BBB and FBI.  Then survey phone calls from Ogden, Utah and California started -- we never respond to phone surveys. And now, we?re ignoring calls from this 415-213-5666 number (3 today) and the caller fails to leave a message.

Keep getting calls from this number. I tried calling it back to see who was calling, and got a recording that the number was not in service.
I want this to stop! It's driving me nuts!

called once yesterday - I ignored it -  and once today I answered and got silence
Looks like a scammer from other comments on same number
I will report it to the authorities

They called yesterday I ignored it - called this morning I answered got 10 seconds of silence so I hung up after saying 'I won't answer again' This is my cell phone they are calling not worth wasting minutes....its a San Fran # I live in OK

reported it to my phone  service provider, had the number blocked

I have gotten 9 calls with this number in the last 2 days. I just called the number and a recording said it has been disconnected, weird ???

My daughter got a call on her cell from this same number, asking if she was the owner of a certain car. She did own the car in 2007 but got rid of it that same year. What is getting creepy about this is that the caller knew the model and year of the car!!! Am going to advise her to call the TelePacific # and B$%#& up a storm-and believe me with her temper THAT won't be a problem. This is more than a little scarey!!!

Caller Id read its a company called California, how do they ever get numbers that are never listed? Just the same I never answer

Left three back to back messages -  literally - on cell phone; two from Jack Smith, one from Steve Clark. Called my work and told my coworker "well f*** off then" when she told him he was told NOT to call me at work and she wasn't taking a message. Ridiculous.

caller said they were calling from Ft Lauderdale, sounded foreign, trying to sell diabetes products.

I get calls on cell phone, home and at work.  Sometimes no one anwers, other times a person with an indican accent threatens me with telling me that I am going to be arrested and they are going to ruin my credit.

Called me at least 4 times yesterday and twice already this morning. Never leave messages. When I called the number to request they stop, the message said the number is no longer in service.

Same thing....I have not answered....very interesting the last 3 numbers being 666....

Calls coming in constantly today

ANNOYING, CALLING VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING... CALLER ID SAYS "CALIFORNIA"

3 calls in an hour. I think Avenger has the right idea.

Getting 8-10 calls a day from this number. I don't answer. It's comong through on my cell which I don't have listed. I'm concerned that if I answer, that somehow allows the caller to clone something.

Wish this person would stop calling i never answer this becouse i don`t know the number just a pain in the a**.

After 9 calls in 2 days, I finally answered. They asked if I was diagnosed with diabetes. After saying no, they hung up promptly.

Has called 8 times since 12noon now 6pm. I don't answer.

Many smaller phone carriers will let you choose what you want to display on your caller id. That's one way telemarketers get around people being able to call them back. What it sounds like is, someone set up this ph# to display as their caller id, and are making prank calls. There's nothing the phone carrier can do if someone else decides to put one of their numbers as the display caller id #.

They've called me 4 times today. I did answer, but there was nothing on the line. It's driving me nuts.

Received call asking for specific names. When asked, "who is calling" there was a long pause, then the woman said, "Dr. H, your chiropractor". Sounded suspicious, plus they had wrong names. Same as others, return call only gave us a message saying that number no longer working.
