Caller asked to speak to IT manager. Claimed to be working for Infor.

Called twice at work so far this morning... I didn't recognize # so didn't answer.  

They're going after Marketing folks, too. Twice in one hour today, multiple times through week. And people wonder why I never answer my desk phone...

415-299-6350 continues to call several times each month: uses the name IT Brief. Have gotten to point recognize the voice.
It is my understanding they also use names of Java Support, Technology Brief.  It's all the same story 832 verse. If you place them terminal hold, they eventually hang up!!! You would think they would get the message.  Another report said they are on that company's "No Answer List" that is a good point.!!!

I answered and they had the name of my CFO.  When I asked what this was in regards to, knowing very little english, stated it was for IT Brief.  I let her know that he was not in IT, so she came up with a name of one of my employees, just told her I could not help her and hung up.

Got a call from this number at work. I answered and when I got no response, counted to five to see if anyone came on the other end.  Just as I hung up, I heard the sound of a noisy call center and someone saying "Hello?". They did not call back

Received a voicemail from this number and the individual never spoke, but I could just hear breathing for several minutes then an eventual hang-up.

They have been calling me 2x a day through my switchboard at work. Computerized call center for some IT service, long pause before it switches to some call center abroad. I told them to put me on their do not call, but they hung up. When they called back, I told them that I was going to "file a federal complaint" and they hung up.

I just got this call on my work phone. The caller didn't introduce herself or her company. She asked to speak to our IT Manager. I didn't even check before telling her he was not in the office. She then proceeded to ask for people by name, four names. None of these people have ever worked in this office. After telling her after each one they did not work here, she started singing. SINGING. I laughed and hung up.

Calls to Los Angeles number: I have multiple calls from the "IT Brief" by offshore callers with thick accents and heavy duty telemarketer boiler room background noise.  THEIR NUMBERS ARE SPOOFED to appear local.  Note: I recently prevailed to secure $25 million dollar settlement on behalf of 1.7 million Americans in 7 states against these type of offshore callers due to multiple violations of California Penal Code.

I've been getting calls from this # for about a week or so.  After confirming it here, I either let it go to VM (in which they do not leave a message,) or just pick up the phone and put it on mute until they hang up.

Telemarketer of some sort claiming to have information from Kaspersky Labs. Persistent, as I told them I dont have time for their call the first time.  Says "Call may be recorded" during middle of spiel.

Called into my company asking for IT Manager

Receptionist has received seven calls from this number today which she has placed in voicemail.  No message was left, but now they have my name.  Grrrrrr......

Called and asked for a different, specific employee; I did not even bother to confirm this person worked here, just asked who was calling.  Said his name was 'Kenneth" from IT Brief. Did my usual: "One moment, please",  and put the caller on indefinite hold (until it sinks in they are not going to get transferred to anyone) and they hang up.  Kenneth waited on hold on 2 mins, 24 seconds.  Persistent, or extremely dense!

Supposedly this company is called Information Technology Brief and according to this last caller, they're in New York.  I can't even tell you how many calls we've gotten from this same phone number this past week.  They can barely speak English, waste SO much time!  They just ask for random names and when (of course) you say there's no such person, they ask for the IT Department.  We've told them numerous times to take us off their calling list, we've threatened them with filing harrassment charges and everything else we can think of, but they still keep calling-over and over and over.  Different people, but the same phone number over and over and over!!  There HAS to be something we can all do about this practice!

Just hang up on these people or you'll never hear the end of them.  They have called 10 times today, twice since we asked to be removed from their list.  

repeatedly calling all day everyday asking for employees who do not work for our company and wanting to be transferred to the IT dept. very inconvenient because we receive hundreds of important calls daily and to be disrupted by a telemarketer is not okay. when i called the number back to speak with a supervisor about the annoyance, the first option the automated calling system asked for was to press 9 to be removed from their calling list. we'll see how long it last....

They keep calling, let it ring 1 time and hang up.  On 2/24/14, they called me 16 times from 10:13am to 4:39pm.

They call, and ask for the IT manager. Any time someone doesn't have a specific name, I ask "Which one?" (in all honesty, I answer the phone for 6 different companies, its a fair question) They usually hang up, but today, she asked for "John"

We don't have a John. Our IT guys are Indian, and have VERY ethnic names, so her trick didn't work....not by a LONG shot.

I laughed and disconnected the line.

In addition he was Leroy on the first call.  The second call he became Frankie Parker

incompetent telemarketer wanting to speak to the IT manager to "do business".  "What is the name of the IT Manager?"  "What is the name of your company?"

I find it very difficult to believe anyone in the IT field with serious attempts at doing business would present their call in this manner.  

Somehow these people got my name saying they were from Java Support and wanted to send me something. I don't answer my phone now. If someone needs something they can leave a message and I will call back.

Sheesh! These folks are thick as a whale omelette. Two calls before 8:30 a.m.  Same spiel, asking for a fictitious name and job title.  The first time, straight to voice mail limbo.  The second time the number appeared, let it ring. They are on our Do Not Answer list.

They called me (working temporary as the receptionist until she's back) and they asked to speak with the marketing director. I told them they were in a meeting (even though they weren't... I knew it was a sales call) and then we hung up. Almost immediately that person's manager calls back and asks to speak to the marketing director. I ask who is calling, they say they "can't give me information because its case sensitive." I tell them the manager is still in a meeting. They hung up.


Called me back this morning and I diverted them to our generic office voice mail 3 times.

Caller asked for a very generic name (not John Smith, but close). When told there was no such name on the employee roster, caller asked for the  "business development manager," then a series of b.s. titles that we don't have.  I transferred him to voicemail limbo.  Not the first call we have received from what is clearly a boiler room operation trying to sell us something when they clearly have no idea what our business is. (Something that our name says very clearly.)

Incompetent telemarketer or scammer of some kind. Claims to want to speak to the "IT Manager" but doesn't even speak decent English.

I get calls at work from this number all the time.  They called again yesterday and I asked them to take our number off their calling list.  Didn't work, they called again today.  Any ideas if this is a brick and mortar company so we can actually file a complaint against them?  It's really ridiculous and annoying.

"Hi, this is Kyle and I'm trying to get some information to IT Management..."  Hung up on him.

So when you have requested that they do not call and to be removed from their calling list and they continue calling multiple times a day... what do you do then? Anyone know??

Today they asked for my CFO when I asked what it was in regards to she told me finance systems. I said, what about finance systems? She says yea finance systems. I then said, you have no idea what your talking about do you? Please take us off your calling list. Then she hung up.
