Received Text Last Night from Union Bank saying "Card"  had been Deactivated.  I don't have a "Card" with them or a Text Plan!  Sure don't appreciate paying for something I didn't request!!

fellow-holders of Union Bank Card holders starting with 5664.  I must be late in reading my messages inasmuch as I see that the caller has 'graduated" to Master Card.  FYI:  just to have a little fun,I tried both of the numbers in the text message,  but received the same answers that "the number you have dialed is not a working number".  Rats.

I received the same message yesterday. As it was obviously a phishing type attemped I reported it to my mobile provider.  Today, I called the number back and got "the subscriber's mailbox is full".

I got a similar text message but it was the bank I use so how they knew my bank is scary! My Union Bank card was deactivated and to please call the number... I did just to see... and they had the exact same bank voicemail system asking me to log in my bank info... unbelievable! How do these people sleep at night?

I got this text last night. Please stop them as I am sure someone will fall for it?!

Text message that my Union Bank card beginning with 5664 has been deactivated and to call 415 366-7046.. I bank with them but they would never text message me, they CALL.  Text msg came from 415 728-2941. Be warned!

415-366-7046 text me and gave me untrue message it says "your credit card begin #6646 has been deactivated ....please call us at 415-366-7046"  I dont have that bank card

Got the same message just now. Don't have the 5664 mastercard.

Got a call from the same number (415-366-7046) with the credit Union message.  It's a fraud attempt so do not answer or reply.

Got the same thing just now, but said it was from THE CREDIT UNION. I do belong to a credit union, so maybe they have that info...

I also do not have a Mastercard.

To be a good Samaritan, I called mastercard to let them know.
Their response was 'you have to call your Bank'.  I reiterated that I don't have a MasterCard and I am just letting them know of the fraudulent attempt on their cards.  Their response was 'We can't do anything'.  They didn't even want the number!

Nice to know they care so much about their security and integrity.  Maybe atleast take the damn # and let your security department take care of it?  Or at least call the authorities!
