Just received a call from someone claiming to be an IRS agent.
She claimed that an investigation was filed for the last 5 years of my tax returns.
I needed to call Kenneth Webster immediately to discuss the investigation.

How do you block?

I have a similar story than most of the previous posts that I have read. I was prepared, however. When they called, I asked for a name and address. What he told me was likely fake but I asked anyway. Then I told him that I had been recording the conversation from the beginning and I was contacting the local police because I didn't believe him. Suddenly we became disconnected! I guess he somehow decided to end the phone call.

Tax returns were faulty  etc . Not to ignore the call . I have deal with IRS before and they never work on weekend and never ever

Thank goodness I googles this number and found all of your advises. These fool called my mom asking for me. He claimed to be Mr. John Walker and said that it was urgent. When I called back the phone rang out then beeped. I called back again and all I got was beeps.

This number called and left a voice mail. It threatened to arrest me as I furnished wrong income (which is untrue). I called this number as I thought it is real IRS. He asked many questions, and I told him I did never hide my income. Be careful for future.

I got a call for the second time from some called James XXXX (couldn't understand the last name).. the caller had a very heavy carribean kinda accent and addressed himself from IRS.. He said on the voice mail not to ignore the call and to call him back asap.. What I can't understand is even an idiot would not call himself an IRS rep and try to scam people especially when they can't even speak clear English.. I obviously didn't even try to respond back to them knowing very well this is a total scam but wanted to post it anyway just so if anyone get paranoid they might benefit from this info.. These calls from 415-484-8569 is a total scam, don't even entertain it.. I did not even block my number just so the guy can keep calling as long as he want only to get my Voice mail :).. atleast he would have wasted some more time tryign to scam me :)..

I tried calling back and got this india person and he said all this to me then hung up on me , tried calling back and now can't get through

same person for me said their name was John Walker and said that a warrant was going out for my arrest and my husbands for back taxes (which we have never owed) is this a scam or what and how do i report this person

Recieved a phone call from "Edward Marshall" @415-4848569...total scam. Heavy Indian accent. IRS will not call you.

This is the message I receive 2 to 3 times a day! A man says he's from IRS to call him or else...@ 415-484-8569! After typing this number into search I found out it is a Scam! Thank God for my husband who told me from day 1 that it was a scam! Because if you normally have any problems with the IRS they will contact you by mail!

Received a phone call today from someone I could not understand.  Caller id number was 415-484-8569 "Stinson Beac CA".
They advised me that IRS had opened a case and that it was urgent that I call Mr. Webster at 415-484-8569.  Since they had just woke me up I did  not put two and two together that it was the same number they were calling from.  I tried to ask a couple of questions and all they would say is that it was URGENT that I call right away.  I did call the number but could not get through.  I then decided to google and this is what I found.  What a shame.

An IRS Agent (I.D. # 45915) by the name of Pat Williams called me Saturday, December 7, 2013, at about 11:15 A.M.  The man had a strong Indian accent.This was the second type phone call.  I knew it was a hoax, and told him so.  He kept on talking and interrupting me.  After about 30 seconds, I hung up.

Received two calls in two hours from two different men.  Seemed like the same exact dialogue as much as I could understand them.  What is interesting is that they were asking for my brother-in-law.  Why don't these people get a real job?!?

Just received two calls within 2 hours from David Jackson with thick foreign accent.  Do they stop calling, if you don't call back.  It is so annoying.  The number to call back was 415-691-7195 if anyone from the IRS cares to deal with this instead of poor innocent hard working Americans.

Received call from this number @ 2:30p today 12/5/13.  Left message on Voicemail with an automated voice calling himself Chris Tyler from the IRS.  Tried to call back - no answer.  Just a beep.  Scam.

And do return the call as soon as possible before any legal allegations don't take place so goodbye and take care."

On 3 December 2013 received a call,on my phone message,and the person who left the message barely could understand,but did make out the number to be,415-484-8569, unknown location, on the caller ID. The person's name was, Atwood Marshall, with a real heavy eastern accent. I called that number,and the person answering,was a woman,by the name of Michelle. She was telling me that I owed a certain amount,to the IRS,and if the amount was not paid, legal action is being taken,and need to contact a lawyer?  I have all the documentation on file,and do not show,where anything is owed. I am considering this a scam.

Said he was David Jackson from the IRS, and that my case was open.  Needed to send him money right away.
Foriegn India accent, and obvious noise from a call center in the background.
First off, impersonating a Federal Agent is serious business, and I hope these guys get shut down.
Told them to send me something in the mail (which would also make it Mail Fraud), and they didn't know my address.

Totally appalling!

Received the following voicemail twice within an hour:

"This message is intended for ___. I need you or your retained attorney of record to return my call. This message is extremely time sensitive. My Name is John Walker (? with the heaviest east Indian Accent I have EVER heard) from the IRS. That is the Internal Revenue Service Department (No - you are not a department and never referred to as such. You would ONLY ever be the IRS) The hotline to my division is 415-484-8569. Do not disregard this message. Before any legal action takes place.... We have found a deficiency in you income tax. Good Bye and I hope you have a great day."

So glad to read that this is a TOTAL  Scam.  Be warned!

415 484 8569 Stinson Beach California. Indian accent male called and left 2 messages saying that I needed to return call the second that I get the message. I called back and a female claimed to be Michelle Smith and was an IRS investigator. She then asked if I was "(correct first name)" "(unintelligible last name)" from "(correct small town)"  and when I asked her to repeat the last name the line then went dead. I have called back about 10 times and no one seems to be home. Hhmmmmm.

Said he was w/ IRS. Called six times within an hour. Finally my husband asked for his ID badge # and department; the man hung up. A woman called a minute later. I told her my husband was talking to his parole officer and couldn't come to the phone (not true). She said it would not go well for us, she tried to warn him and help him, but now it's too late, then hung up. Yeah, right. These people are so sleazy. I reported the number to the Treasury Dept. Inspector since they were impersonating federal agents. This was recommended in a news story about these IRS calls.

Got 3 phone messages with the same recorded voice and with seamed to be eastern Indian accent, saying he is an IRS agent name Daniel Robinson, phone # 415-484-8569, claiming that I have an Income tax deficiency, and I should call him right away, it is extremely time sensitive, or IRS will file litigation against me.
I checked with real IRS (800-829-0922) office and they told me that I was clean. I mentioned to her that I received called claiming that he is an IRS agent and I have income tax deficiency. She told me that there are a lot of scam calls pretending to be IRS agent. She told me to call fraud investigation office in DC 800-366-4484, so I left message in the voice mailbox.

Received 17 calls on Thanksgiving starting at 7:15 AM which is illegal in California. Caller was asking for an individual unknown to me and claimed to be with the IRS Investigative Service yet the caller had a very heavy East Indian accent and left voicemails that were very difficult to understand. I called the number and complained that I did not know the party they were searching for and was told that they would cease their calls without asking for my number so it could be removed from their database and hanging up before I could question their validity.Twenty minutes later I received another call and when I told them I believed them to be a scam, especially the fact that the IRS would not hire an individual that couldn't be clearly understood and calling 17 times in one morning on a holiday, they immediately hung up.
