Its a company called OnPath Business Solutions. They are a 3rd party business to business call centre. They get hired by companies like Google, Yellow Pages, American Express, HP, Industry Canada, Savvis, and many other credible businesses. If they are calling you, its not to scam you. Its because they have your number on a file and are trying to contact someone to either sell something, verify correct information, or give information on products/services. If its a wrong number, just tell them that and and they will take you off their list. That's what I did. Its their job to call you so you can't get upset if they do. In my case, my phone number use to be from some business so they thought I was the owner. I told them this was a residential number and they apologised.

They are still at it.

Call came in when I was away. No message. I called and was told it was a Market Development Department - no company name. I left a message saying if they weren't courteous enough to leave a message you must be a telemarketer - so don't call me again.

Same thing:

A recording saying calling from Yellow Pages and to verify that this is a current number Press 1.  Hung up.

I got a recording. They claimed to be from Yellow Pages, wanting to confirm that my number was valid ("Press 1 to confirm").

I stupidly hit 1, and heard "Thank you. You have confirmed receipt of this message". I don't want to know what sort of garbage I just signed myself up for.

This number called at my job few minutes ago.

The men asked to speak with John, my Director. I tolded him he wasen't at the office for the day.
I tolded him that i can take the message and give it to my Director when he'll be back.
He said he would call later this week.

It is from HP sales.

These people are a pain in my a**. Stupid telemarketers.

Since it's a telemarketer I am not offended I just don't pick up the phone. Telemarketing is the worse office job on the planet.... If they can earn a little from it they deserve it as long as they are being honest.

called at 10;50 on Nov 11 and asked why no manager was available ....telemarketer

Oh NO!!! There are companies out there that have marketing departments??

I receive calls from this number on regular basis.
Do not pick up since from the beginning nobody left a message for me.

I have tracked them down in Ottawa and when I was there I went to their location and told them what was on my mind !!!

missed the call, no message left. When I called it back, all I got (surprise, surprise) was 'Good Day. You've reached our Marketing Development Dept. Please leave your name, number and company name, and someone will call you back'.
