HAHA Reading all these comments made me laugh. I used to manage the warehouse years ago, and somehow the company popped in my head, so I was just digging some research. Come to find this hilarious thread. The company sucks, but the wine is good. After 3 years of free cases who can complain. The perks of running the warehouse. The owners, Frank is cool as hell, but Fonda... I'll tell that beeotch to sit on a razor bladed dildoh, then spin.

Oh yes - Mr. Harrison with Montesquieu.  He calls periodically claiming to be a personal friend of our hotel manager.  He refuses to state the purpose of the call.  He's very rude and insulting to me personally for not being fooled by a low-class salesman.  I have very little decision-making responsibility for our wine program; however, Montesquieu is on our "no way" list because of his calls.

Lol, this girl was a crack case.  Called for the past president, and upon being told he's not longer here, she said "I'm working with some horrible handwriting, what's the GM's name? Is he in?"  When I said no, and asked for her contact information, she said it was regards to a personal matter. When I asked how it was personal if it involved the past president AND the GM whose name she does not know, she stuttered. Sigh.  She refused to leave a message, of course.

They've called twice today to speak with our CEO but won't say why, only asking when is a better time to call back.  How about Half-Past-Never?  These clowns must not realize that if we don't recognize a number, we're not going to put them through and are most likely going to research it!!    What morons!

"Sunny" called for our CEO, clearly stating that he was personally expecting her call. Further inquiry identified her as a wine broker.  When I told her that this is a faith-based organization and our CEO does not drink wine, she laughed. Caught in a lie, she laughed as though it is common practice. This is a disgraceful marketing tacktick. W.G. Best Weink should be ashamed of their marketing approach, and further be embarrassed to think the Executive Assistants to CEO's are stupid!  Ii am masters prepared and fully capable of recognizing a scam-caller.  Shame on you, W.G. Best Weink... caller id tells it all!

The Caller asked for an individual who has been long gone - then expected me to tell them who was his take over.  Wouldn't give me any information on their Identity and was getting rude. As far as I know we have never done business with them. They are terrible at their marketing calls. They earned a one way trip the the DNA.  Caller ID was W.G. Best Weink.  - W G Best Weinkellerei Inc. Wine Sellers

The caller asked for our chairman and when I asked what it was regarding she said "Oh I just got him as a referral and I'm trying to touch bases with him." I never put these calls through. I have been known to play 20 questions with them to see how long I can keep them on the phone before they lose it and hang up. She said she was with Montesqu (did not say Montesqu wines), however the caller ID said "W.G. something".

They keep calling, asking for the person who 'gets paid the most'.  What business is it to them??  That information is confidential and I can't disclose it, even though they keep calling and bugging, even after asking to be removed from their calling list.

Kyle Harrison from Montesquieu called for the CEO.  Said he was calling from a referral. Would not tell me the subject of the call, said he wouldn't feel comfortable speaking to anyone but the person he called for.   Oh yeah - salesman!!  LOL.

Well I have received many calls from "Samantha". She thinks that she is stringing me along, when in fact I am stringing her along.  I know German wines and in particular, I know the Mosel region very well.  She said that she knew more about wine in her little finger than what I know all together. Her first call started nice and then she became rude, obnoxious and biligerant.  It ended up in her hanging up on me.  less than 5 minutes later, she called to apologize for catching me on a bad day or in a bad mood.  I busted up laughing.

She continues to call from the 4155361670 (over the past 4 months) and each time she knows a little bit more about wine, but she still has her "coked" out, high speed attitude and remains very obnoxious.  The next time she calls, I will tell her that I am switching over to red Italian wines.  I wonder how she will take that.

I agree that their sales tactics are not the best but I've been buying wine from them for several years and they do have some great wines that cannot be found anywhere else at fair prices.  A good portion of what's in my cellar has been purchased from them over the years and the one time I got something I didn't like they took it back and gave me a full refund.  I also bought some private label wine from them (my name on the bottle) and my friends rave about it when I give bottles as gifts.

I swear... I would never want a job like this. How do they make any money selling with these kind of tactics? How do they go home satisfied with their life? Kyle just called and was so rude after I asked what he was calling regards to. "IT'S A PERSONAL MATTER" he snapped. Well thats code for unsolicited salesperson... Duh! Doesnt EVERY sales person fail at using this line? Why wouldn't you at least TRY to save yourself time and explain who you are and what you are selling. Hell, the guy you were calling for was a HUGE wine enthusiast.. I might have even transfered you! But no... go ahead and keep using that lame line. You're actually saving my CEO his infinitely more valuable time by not having to even deal with a slimey scammy company that treats us "LOWLY" receptionist so badly. Because if you treat me badly, youre obviously not the type of company this guy would even deal with in a million years. So guess what. I'm used to it, and I laugh it off every time! YOU CANT GET PAST ME! :D

Bridgette/Heather/whatever other fake name this cu*t uses.  She is a low-life harasser who has to be the dumbest, rudest salesperson ever who insults people she calls and expects them to buy her products! Montesquieu Wine - DO NOT BUY THEM!  Montesquieu Wine - bad experience.

Rude is right! I hope this telemarketer is paid on commission, so she is paid what she is worth - Zero!! When I asked if she would like to leave a message, she asked for voice mail, then snottily replied "Oh, how old school" when I told her no voice mail was available. Needless to say, I hung up - so much for her sales quota for the day.

Today received a call for my boss from 415-536-1670.  I advised he was not available but I could take a message.  She said no, it was personal and asked when he would return.  I responded "well I'm his personal secretary and will be happy to take your name and number and pass it along"   She reluctantly gave me her first name only "Marie" and the above telephone number.  When I asked for a last name she said "oh he will know me".   I asked for a company name and she said "Montescuieu, he will know it"

I looked  up number and found others who have received similar calls.   I will pass message along, but at least my boss will now know what the call is about.

Just got a call from this jerk "AARON" for our CEO...said it was personal. If it's a personal call, he shouldn't have to call a switchbaord. Even made up a name for our CEO's admin asst and demanded to be transfered to her. Too freakin funny! So I decided to google the phone number and what do you know? The jerk had the nerves to threaten me and my job b/c I wouldn't transfer his so called personal phone call. If he wanted to sell wine, that's all the jerk had to say. He might have gotten somewhere with the phone call.

I have now gotten two calls in two months even after I asked to be taken off the list the first time. They use the tactics described in all the complaints above to get through the front desk/secretary. The number they called me from was their L.A. Office at 310-216-3101. Evidently, the supervisor's name is "Dana Naab" which I bet is code for their receptionist to say, "She's on another line. Would you like to leave a message?"

Keeps calling our company and asking for our president.  I now recognize the company name and know my boss won't take the call.  Today when "Samantha" called I told her she could leave him a VM and she said "Oh so he's in and won't take the call" and I said "Yes that's right."  She said "I called last week and he told me to call him back this week.'

Complete lie.  He never even talked with her or called her back.  Gross.

Kyle called and asked for someone who retired 8 years ago. Knew something was up as soon as he asked for that individual. Would not say who he was with, just that it was a personal call. That is when I told him the individual retired 8 years ago......trying very hard not to laugh out loud this entire time. Poor Kyle seemed sooooo surprised! Then said he did not catch my name. I told him that was because I did not give it. Then he asked directly what my name was and I told him that information he did not need.

The fun part of this whole thing is the fact that I am trying very hard not to laugh throughout this whole thing!

He then said "Well then, whatever your name is...Have a good day."
I said the same back to him and as I set the handset back down on the base, I burst out laughing.

Oh the fun with telemarketers.......hee hee
