Got a call from this number on my cell phone yesterday (4/14/14) in the morning.  Did not answer (my standard policy if I don't know who's calling) and they did not leave a message. That # is now blocked on my cell phone.

Got a call from this number, knew right away it was a scammer from the phone number, as I personally do not have credit cards and don't want one either.

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

This call came in on my cell, and I don't answer "unknown" caller ID calls. If THEY don't know who they are, why do I want to talk to them? I talk to enough crazy folks during the day, and that's not even counting the voices in my head (LOL)! They have been added to the list of numbers at the end of my address book labeled "ZZZSpam1, ZZZSpam2, etc." I fill up one slot with as many numbers as it can hold and go to the next one. The next time that number calls, I know not to bother answering it, and I have those numbers set to not ring.

This number dialed my phone and started in their little spiel about lowering my interest rates, so I hit the number one button,
And before the punk
Started in with their fraud stuff, I told them  to stop calling here, and to go. ...k themselves
Let's see how that flies inside their databases...
This has been going on with me as a daily ritual for some months now, always a different number calling, always a fake if I dial back, so I think I need to change this phone number and to try to think of all the people who might have it that I have to tell, it's about to be changed,  because of THESE c...s..kers

In all honesty, don't answer any calls from odd looking numbers or from numbers you do not recognise. If they know you, or if it is important, they will leave you a message. Cheers

just got a phone call from the same number.  It was some type of credit card company that wanted to help lower interest rates.

I asked to be place on the DNC list and he, Jensen, said they did not have any.

If you received the call on your cell you can block it if its an Iphone.  You may be able to do on other cell phones as well.  You can always call your cell or phone provider network and have them block this number.  Once blocked, you will not receive their call.

Got call from this number just now. Started off by saying "this is cardholder services. There are no problems right now-" I hung up. There's currently a scam in my area where if you miss a call and call the number back, they charge a service fee and a bunch of other garbage. Since I'm taking care of issues for my aunt and grand mother I try to answer anything I can, but this may be one of those out of country scams. I'd avoid answering this call or calling it back.

These assclowns called me today from 416-000-0001.   Spoke to someone that threatened to kill me and murder my family when I told him to never call my number again.    Very, very sad there is little than can be done to stop this harrasment.   :|

Just got a call from these a** clowns.  Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  If it's a number I don't recognize, I just let it ring.  Obviously these fools are trying to cover where they're calling from with a 000 prefix after the area code.  I'm in a debt consolidation program with several credit card companies so my interest rate on each has been lowered already.  It's a losing battle...no matter how many times you try to block these calls, they find some way to get around it and pester us to the brink of insanity.

That 416 area code is located in Toronto but the caller is located in another country because that's just a foreign exchange network.  The call is connected to another foreign exchange in a different country.

They have called me at least three or four times this month so I finally added that number to my list of blocked numbers in my Verizon account.  Verizon lets you block only 5 numbers and only for 90 days.  If you want to block more than 5, you have to pay Verizon extra.

Received the call at 0905, noticed that several others got calls at 9:05am, which I think shows for sure it's a robo call. Not to mention the strange number that appeared on my cellphone. It took everything in me not to answer & give this A-hole a piece of my military mind. Really wanted to hunt down, close with & destroy! But kept my cool & just didn't answer. Oorah & Semper Fi
