Indian guy informed me of all the benefits of my TD Credit Card.
Seemed odd because there were no sales or follow-up, just telling me features I already knew. And he spoke very quickly.

I wouldn't trust what some "people" are saying above, I just called TD because I got a the same call yesterday and they just told me that it is in fact, a scam. Beware people..

Whoops! I meant to say Aimia OWNS Aeroplan. Anyway, the wikipedia entry above should explain it better. The reason they called me definitely had something to do with marketing.

Update: Aimia is now in partnership with td canada trust. Aimia is in partnership with Aeroplan. This wasn't clear before but this is what I got from Wikipedia. "Many Aeroplan members collect miles via credit cards. Credit cards were originally allocated to CIBC and Diners Club/enRoute, but it was later offered to AMEX Bank of Canada, while Diners Club withdrew from the program.[4] (The contract with CIBC is set to expire at the end of 2013, and Aimia has announced it intends to begin a new partnership as to credit cards with Toronto-Dominion Bank, as of January 1, 2014.[5])" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroplan

What I meant to say was "What may look legit can cause the alarm bells of suspicion to go off." I will not answer the phone should these people call back. I have also informed the bank of the situation.

Aimia is actually the company name. Looks legit but something isn't right. No local phone numbers listed on their website. Td Canada Trust is not listed as one of their partners. I don't trust these people and will not answer if they call. True TD banks will leave messages stating the purpose of their call. Be very wary. What may look legit can alarm bells of suspicion go off.

Got a call from this number twice. In my call display these people called themselves "td Canada trust." These people have nothing to do with the bank so watch out! When I called the number back the message said "Ania", some kind of so-called loyalty management company. Then why call yourselves td canada trust?

Phoned a few times but I never answered and they didn't leave a message which tells me its marketing or something worse and not worth my time.
