Howard-the-Nerd called on a Sunday afternoon inviting me to a town hall meeting about rising anti-Semitism in Europe. Maybe if you had enough sense to not harass people with whining on a weekend afternoon then anti-Semitism wouldn't be on the rise.

Messages from them without a name at prime times when I am expecting calls from family members about important matters are despicable I called and left my number for them to remove No removal no further gelt!

Checked here after my call tonight, and glad to read that this time, it's OK. UJA is legit. Wish they had their name appear on my caller ID, otherwise I would have picked it up. UJA, if you're reading this, show your name on your calls please :)

They call around 8:00 pm every few nights. Never another person on the other end of the line. Do they actually think I would donate to them after they continually harass me?
If you don't have enough staff on-hand to manage your outbound calls, then adjust your auto-dialler to accomodate your call center. Aggravating donors will do nothing to assist you.

the uja is a well-run and legitimate community charitable organization. instead of posting your complaints here where they won't be seen, why don't you try calling them up and asking them to put you on their do-not-call list?
(my complaint is only that they didn't put their name on the callerid, so i had to look up the name of the caller on 800notes. i just won't take calls without a reasonable name.)

some town hall message for greater toronto area for immigrants for the ethiopia, Israel, Jewish community, United Jewish Appeal boradbent voice message informing of meeting or questions to be asked pressing numbers to be contected to whomever? Don't know why these people calling my number for or how they even got my UNLISTED number we are Not an immigrant 100% true Canadians of First Nations and don't appreciate these calls constantly calling us all hours of the day or night. It's ridiclous it's considered a form of harrasment! Whomever you people are stop calling numbers that have not responded to your calls!

Sorry, but pleas to these scammers, spammers, and phishers that you post to this site will do no good. They don't come to any complaint site or read any comments -- except perhaps to laugh at them, if they come at all.
Your only defense is to join in with everyone else in doing two things: 1. Check the Caller ID; if you see a name and/or number that you don't recognize or that doesn't make any sense, don't pick up the call! 2. File a report with the FCC with the ID information about the call; check the forums here for articles about how these reports are working.
