Two calls and twice I asked to be put on the "do not call" list and they immediately hung up.

I got this call today and it was an automated voice. Anyone know what happens if you press one?

I have received 3 calls like this. All from local cell #'s. I text the senders back and they say they did not call. I believe them too. So how r these low lifes able to use their numbers?

Just got this call. An automated message that said something to the effect of  "Attention, because you are a preferred Telus customer, you have won a gift. Press 1 to receive your gift."  *click*

This is VACATIONS BY NEWPORT - there are run by a Marketing company out of Florida - THEIR number is 1-877-302-7085 or their management number is 1-888-528-1840. They are trying to sell vacations at resorts. They shift their phone numbers around to get you to take their call. Phone them to get them to stop!!! Anyone with a smart phone should look for an app that can block unwanted phone calls. Lots of them are even free.

Not everyone in Edmonton treats people badly :P lol.  There are a few scams out of Edmonton though.  Ive found 780-686-XXXX and 780-739-xxxx so far.  The X's can be any variety of numbers.  Hang up if you see either of these.  The 686 one is trying to sell Viagra aggressively.

I found out here that this number 403-939-8080 and 780-949-8989 are same b***s*** which I received in my cell phone but i did not answer. They call every 2 weeks almost

Got a call from them on August 2nd, didn't pick up. They left a message asking me to call them back. Didn't.

Damn it... I never had a chance to answer the call and when I called back I the same message most of you got. I thought it might be one of those big wage welding jobs I applied for in Alberta. Maybe they were calling me for an interview. What a disappointment!! I hope that guy gets caught and put away in prison to rot!

They called late at night, and I didn't answer.  F****rs woke me up!!

During our dinner time my wife's cell phone rang and she said someone kept talking and then just said ok, and hangs up, and then 1/2 hr. later I got a missed call from same number. One thing makes me very upset is that how these people got my and my wife?s number and dare to call late and at the same time, late at night.
I suspect that Rogers is giving out our number to those people, and I must say that our privacy is being invaded, and no one expect Rogers know our numbers, because we do not give any one our numbers.
I will have to look in to this, and if I know that Rogers is giving out our number to others then I will complain to Government .
Why government allows these happen, and why we can not have our peace even in our home.
Please if anyone reading this let me know and we can ask police and government to stop these non senses.
For the last few months someone kept calling my cell phone and asking for large sum of money.I do not know where this guy got my number.I would guess Rogers is responsible for this.I pay rogers large sum of money every month to use the cell phones and then I have no privacy.

They went to my voice mail messaging but did not leave a message.   They just don't give up easily do they?  I like the suggestion that they should be refused service once they have been exposed.
If any of us were ''exposed'' we would be  dealt with accordingly.

I just got a call from them too on my cell a few min ago. Didn't answer glad I didn't. I've gotten a call from these scam artists before for the 100,000 airmiles scam last december, but on my home line. Someone definately must've sold a list. So much for privacy policies.

Got a call saying free gift as a valued customer of Bell Canada...well my phone is Rogers....SCAM!!!!

This number called my cell a couple of hours ago - no message.
I'm with Telus and am very careful about giving out my cell number, but looks like somebody "sold a list".

this is the 2nd time I have gotten calls from this number.  Didnt answer this one but last time it had to do with air miles and getting a whole bunch if you pressed one.

Received a call from this number to my koodo cellphone. Didn't answer... And glad that I didn't!

Saw a missed call on my cellphone from this number today.  Didn't leave a message, and I didn't bother trying to call them.  Googled the number instead and found this thread!!

I just got a call from this number on aug 2 and tried to call back but it said the number was not in use....Glad i didn't answer if it was a scam

Out of the blue call from this number, didn't answer. Left no message. I'm on Bell and in B.C.

I got a call after 12pm and the automated call told me since I was valued customer of Bell that I should press 1 to get  free present or something to that effect. I didn't press 1 and quickly hung up on me. I spoke with Bell later. They called the number and it was busy. Bell M. reported that there had been no communication with me to my number that day(today) . I am going to try to forward this to the RCMP. I'm not good with the computer and if you can do that for me because I don't know how it would be appreciated thankyou.
