These pieces of garbage keep calling me also. Saying my student loan has been split from federal to provincial and I need to pay off 7000$ immediately. But yet I keep making a payment directly to the government. Makes no sense and they don't have my SIN # either. I don't know who they are, what they are from and lets face it the government of Canada can access anything or freeze anything they want, why would they employ this s*** hole company to do their dirty work?

They dont bother me. They go right to iggy mode, all long distance calls do. I make it that way but they tried to harrass me and have yet to get my home, business or other numbers. I cant wait till they do. They will be suprised. :) I have never owed a bill in my life so I find it odd that they hire these losers to try to scam people. Its a scam. They stole the info from student loan borrowers. Total scam.

As a collector myself I can tell you we will NEVER ask for your entire sin #, the last 4 for verification purposes at most, if they're demanding the whole thing, hang up!

We can be mature about it, but so can they. the way that they treat people is very very demeaning.  At least leave a message.

This number keeps phoning me and if I pick up I get a message saying it's EOC NCN and that it is urgent that I call back. I know that the name is a collections agency but I don't believe that it's them... Collection agencies make personal phone calls, not have automated machines make them.

They called my cell phone and wanted personal information which I refused. I told them I was reporting them to the police. They hung up on me.

Wouldn't give a name but said they were calling on behalf of Ontario student loans and needed my sin number to continue the call.  Told them this was a business line and without a name I couldn't help.  She just replied "I cannot comment any further without a SIN number."

Called twice within a few minutes. First call gave me time to go to this website. Second call I answered but no one there. No message left. An observation: this number has just been showing up for a few weeks, when you look at the date of the first call that was recorded on this web site.

Yeah make it a practise to not answer numbers you don't recognise or are expecting. This probably isn't a scam but rather another one of the many harrassing entrapping techniques used by collection agencies. I've been recieving calls from other companies as well on my cell phone for the past year, apparently someone who had my number racked up some debt and the agencies who make the calls are trained to not believe you if you tell them your not that person. I firmly believe that collection agencies are the scum of the business world and they deserve to bear the weight of the debt due to there unrelentless and extremely unprofessional behaviour. Maybe if they were actual business professionals instead of telemarketing agencies making the calls they might actually convince some people to repay there debts. Oh well, I guess the cycle just goes on and on, ever wonder how much these stupid companies waist on calling people day in and day out to collect a few bucks owed from years ago? Lol not the best business plan I've ever heard of but then again what does it matter cause there part of the problem of big corporations getting huge tax breaks because of a weak and loophole riddled system. FYI, did you know that the government actually owns or has particular interest in many of the collections and telemarketing agencies? Hope you have eyes in the back of your head!

I never ever answer phone numbers I don't recognize and this one is no exception.  Received a call from this number yesterday - they left a message - a lot of dead air before my voice mail timed out.  Very annoying. And that's putting it mildly.

Received a call from them today.  Didn't answer.  Never had a student loan but my daughter once put me down as a personal contact for one. Is this a scam related to the recent lost data of some half a million student loan applicants/recipients?  Human Resources and Skills Development, under MP Diane Findlay, lost the data.  She says in the House of Commons that there has not been a breach of security to their knowledge.  If you have concerns please write to any opposition MP in or closest to your home town.  do not write a Conservative as it will be covered up.  Peace

They called me today and it was a recording wanting me to call a 1-800 number. The recording mentioned the company they represented but I didn't catch it. The 1-800 number I wasn't able to write down either. Just grateful to sites like this that have forms that can be filled out to let other people know of shady telephone numbers.
