I got these calls too. After the 1st call, which I wasn't home for, I called back and as another person posted here, you can request to get off their list, which I did. However they called me back a few hours later! They are calling on behalf of BMO trying to sell identity theft protection product/service. Sounds like a money-grab to me.

If you are a BMO customer, they can call you. The Do Not Call registry doesn't apply if you are a customer.

You don't get charged for picking up the phone only annoyed.

I called the number back and they have an automated message that allows you to enter the number you would like to have removed from their calling lists. You don't have to talk to anyone and you can get your number off!

I have been called a number of times by this number. I called bmo customer service today and they say they that they will never phone you at home and this is a likely scam.

Phoned BMO directly and was told it was a telemarketer number and upon request had my name removed from all such advertising calls in the future. People need to do this as it is a very big invasion. Let them know its not acceptable to release your number!!!!

I phoned the number back and they give you an opportunity to opt out.  The 10 cents for the long distance call was worth it to stop them (assuming it works)

If you answer that call, YOU WILL BE CHARGED $1.40!!! It is a scam. When you call the number no one picks up. when you add your number to the do not call list you are told it will take up to 30 days...BS!..I don't know how to report this as a scam...JUST DO NOT ANSWER!

i answered the call and was promptly hung up on. I have prepaid so I checked my balance. I was charged 1.40 for the call. fido gave me back the credit but told me they couldn't block them or look into it. DON"T ANSWER! it is a scam to get money from you. a lot of people don't care about 1.40 on their monthly statement but it adds up to that 'company'...complete BS....

Previous reports are BMO. My bank is BMO but my bank IF they were calling me would leave a message on my voice mail. I have a cell and do not answer numbers I don't know.

This number has called me twice - 2 days in a row at same time.  I don't answer if I don't recognize the number as my phone is a cell. IF it was important I am sure they would leave a voice mail message.

Someone on behalf of BMO Mastercard trying to sell a variety of products. Sounds like a boiler room over there.

when they say they are from BMO email BMO and tell them the type of people who use their name and that you are tired of the harrasing phone calls It is amazing how quick this number will quit calling but but they will try from another number resend the email
