just received call from this number, did not answer and they left no message.
Waste of time...
hassling phone call
I got a call from this number on my cell phone yesterday. I did not answer, however it left a message on my voice mail. The message was a computer generated voice saying I had won a cruise. This is just another version of the cruise ship scam that has been running for years under various different numbers. The scammers are based in India, but they use a computer program to fool the call display into showing a local number. This is why if you try to call the number back you get a message saying that the number is out of service. Nobody seems to be able to stop these guys, so the only thing you can do is block their number and move on. I've added them to my phones auto reject list, so I shouldn't hear from them for a few months until they change the fake number their call display spoofing software sends out again.
this is a scam and the number is from somewhere in Toronto (GTA) the 416 prefix is a Toronto prefix but because we can take our old numbers with us it could be anywhere in the GTA and it is a landline not a mobile I live in this city and have had it happen to me
Automated recording say I won a trip to Bahamas and press 1 to... I hung up.
This so strange, I just received a call from this number exactly a week after I ordered flowers online as well...
If you have an iPhone... you can just block the number... it will not show up as missing number
Come on people! Let's not even think we are going to get any satisfaction reporting this to the police.
Have some fun with them, waste their time, put them on hold for 20 minutes. Use your imagination.
Do you really think the police are going to send an officer to Nigeria, Pakistan or anywhere period to
investigate a telephone call that woke up your kid????
Usually it's a machine calling and they record what time you pick up their calls. Then they get a real person to call when they know you are usually free. I've been told that if you press * after you pick up it messes with the machine and you are taken off the calling list. Not completely sure however so don't take my word for it.
I had a call from this number on my mobile phone. When I answered the call was disconnected. It's strange that they have my number. I received several telephone calls from people with very heavy Indian accent. Asking about Windows replacement and remove virus.
Called me too during my yoga class. I called them back twice and no answer. Just silence. Sketchyyy.
I am convinced its a scam...only thing I know is I ordered flower online and left my name and number with them. 1 week after, I am getting this sort of scam calls. Someone is selling my info to the scammers.
I answered th call, nothing at the other end, when I called the number back I got "call did not go through"
I guess that this is someone from your friends who changed the phone company to WIND (They are just looking for new customers) and they taken his contacts and now blowing up to you. The representative office is located Toronto.

Sep 16, 10:26AM, Caller (heavy Indian accent) asked to speak to Mr......mentioned that he was with Internet Security for Windows. I asked where he was calling from. Reply; Mississauga. I asked why he had this Toronto number when calling from Mississauga. He replied that he was calling from Salt Lake City. When asked for his name, address and phone number he gave, Harry Jones calling from 41 Fox St. Salt Lake City, Tel; 1-713-315-6334. This happens to be Houston area number and NO Fox St. exists. When I mentioned that he was a liar, he hung up. NOTE; stated that my computer was causing problems for other Windows user and asked me to go to my computer. I refused and asked for him to mail me details. He refused.
As there is no name associated with this number and i got a call close to 7 pm on Saturday, it seems suspicious. I let it ring. They didn't leave a message.
Steve Jones (strong indian accent) from "Micorosoft" called me about my computer...
Imagine that! MS is kind enough to follow up with each issue we have with our computers... wow! Wonderful customer service! :-(
Is there any way to report and block this numbers?... I am sure they use one of those free phone services like ePhone...
They are a collection company for Student Loans in Ontario, Canada.
I received a call from this number 2 days ago. He identified himself as Jack, from Microsoft, claiming there was an error report that comes from a computer at my location (made it sound like this had happened quite a few times) and he would like to fix the problem. He would just like me to turn on my computer and he would just ask for the IP #. I told him I wasn't giving him access to my computer, and he started to protest, that he "only wanted the IP address"..... I hung up, funny that # hasn't called back yet. ;-)
This number called me today said it's zoom media.
This number calls often. Person that calls has an accent, and does not speak clearly. I have ask that they stop calling, but the calls continue. I have asked for the name of the company and to speak to a supervisor, at which time the caller hangs up on me. I think it is time to get the police involved.
a micro solution private company, john miller, who says that he can block your computer from being used as your microsoft safety security licence is expired!
Received a call from this number and when I picked up there was a woman with a thick indian accent claiming to be working for a points redemption center for visa/mastercard. She said I won a $100 gift card or some s*** because I was a "active user". I ask her why she was calling me when she could have just sent me it. She then replied to inform you and hung up. So bs. Wish they didn't know my number and name.
