I had a call from this number this morning and when I told him we were a food related company and was he interested in catering services he said " how much to f*&k you. He repeated it again and I said now I have your number I shall give it to the police, he repeated it once more. Obviously they know nothing will happen to them so they continue to do it.

I tried, call block, Government's CRTC complaints, without success. The best way to deal with this harassment is reply in same...(eye for eye), your not lowering your level, just meeting theirs.

First I ask who is calling; they answer 'hello sir..."; before they finish, I say "go #@%$ yourself you uneducated wart"; they say pardon me; I repeat; and hang up. I feel great and I know I disrupted the caller's quota for the day. So far I get new people, like Peter who wanted to talk over me... you can hear him getting upset as I hang up (3 to 4 times a week). In time they, if they have an ounce of pride, and are educated; will avoid making the call to my number... imagine if everyone does the same! (robot/automated diallers will avoid answering devices - and will loop call again).

If the call comes in after reasonable hours; document the number, caller id, and time of the call; add it to CRTC's list: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng  keep adding to CRTC's list (be honest) until they realize there is a problem.

Some guy sounds like he is from India. Duct cleaning, I gave him complete bogus information and laughed at him at the end. Let me tell you, he deleted my number and they never called back after I wasted 15 minutes of his time putting him on hold and coming back and hold and back and over and over again.

They call every day with duct cleaning services, I just hang up and they keep calling. What can we do?

This idiot call and has been doing so for ever, I picked up once he is selling duct cleaning  talks witha a plum I his mouth, why can't he be stoped???????

This number showed up several times since last week and never leave a message.
I decided to pick it up tonight (8:30pm for crying out loud).
I'm sure he called with a different number before and is starting up calling again!
I told him my ducks don't need cleaning and I wash my own cars, Thank You.
.. see how long he'll call back again..how intrusive they are!

If they are making the calls on behalf of a Canadian company, the DNCL certainly does apply to them, and it's the Canadian company that would face any fines. I have no idea how the duct cleaning industry manages to avoid the repercussions of these calls. Maybe they just routinely go out of business every week and start a new company? Maybe we've been misled and DNCL actually means "Ducts Not Clean List"?

The Duct Cleaning scum operate out of a call center in Lahore Pakistan. Canadian law, the DNCL etc do not apply to them.  Even if the Canadian government complained I doubt the Pakstani authorites would do anything to curtail their activities. Best suggestion, get Call Display then do not answer calls displaying a number, or a name or company you don't recognize. 100% of their calls do not display a name many show clearly bogus numbers.

Called at 9pm. Indian gentleman said he was from a duct cleaning service and asked me how I was. I said, " good but..." And he hung up on me.

don't hold your breath. more likely it's a spoofed number, since they don't want callbacks like yours.  too hard to script.

She introduced herself, and as I was saying "I'm sorry, can you please put me on your Do Not Call List as I'm uninterested", she hung up. Hung up as soon as I said "Please put me on"....

Going to call her later tonight and express my dissatisfaction. Tell her I ain't happy with her calls. Number's constantly busy because I assume she's making continuous calls.
