They signed up my disabled brother in law under the wrong name and wrong address, when we called to complain they transferred bill to my husbands name got our carrier to stop the calls but 2 years later they send bill to collection company. What a immoral, illegal act. No legimate company would conduct business this way. Never answer their calls. Don't confirm your name or telephone number to anyone you don't have an existing account with.

SCAM SCAM SCAM     NEED I SAY MORE . they said I was getting 500 free minutes to china...what a deal, wish I knew somebody there.....though unfortunately i never switched to them  as a carrier and they sent me a ficticious bill.....after a somewhat one sided conversation they forgave the bill and told me to call my regular service provider and ask to be switched back...TO MY SURPRISE I HAD NEVER LEFT MY REGULAR SERVICE PROVIDER..HAHAHA.......WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS

Get the hint. It's a scam. I had never heard of telehop and all of a sudden a bill shows up along with a fake lawyer's letter saying they will do some legal action to get the money. Telehop is a scam! I told the ppl I will forward the bill and letter to my lawyer. They said "ok I transfer you, all of sudden they hang up and cannot be reached

I had a similar situation with them, I was told that they no longer provide long distance for the country I originally signed up for and that they send out messages to my home voice mail.

They charged me $400.00 for the usage which I had no clue this was happening.  I had their service for almost six months they called me on my cell to sell me more services.  The sad thing the claimed they called my home line to let me know that they no longer provide long distance calls to the country I was calling, what a rip off.

They had my credit card on file which the charge and refuse to repay my money.

Telehop has been my long distance provider for about 1yr now... everything was great for about the first 6 months and then my payments stopped showing up on my bill.... even though I hadn't changed anything about how I pay my bill.... I call them every single month and even faxed in all my proof of payments and they just keep telling me it's a mistake on their end and they'll will have it corrected on my next bill.... but the total just keeps getting higher and higher even though I"ve never missed a payment..... I"m sooo frustrated with these  morons... the price is good but I would rather pay more and get good service.... the battles continues with Telehop.... wish me luck....

I got $38 bill from telehop long distance service which I never use and ask them to sign up for.I call them and every time Jamacian origin black a** talk on the phone nd keep saying I call to sign up and also refuse to show any evidence to me.No matter what I am not going to pay single penny to telehop they are just FRAUD.It seems someone sending bills from home.

I was with Telehop for long distance calls since 2008, a friend of mine referred me to them, and it worked perfectly fine, never had problems with billing, and had the choice to pay by credit card at due date, no prepayment required. Then I switched my landline phone to them, and was also very happy, the only problem I had was that at times I would have to reset the modem to have the line. I left the country and now I'm back I want to take their services again, wanted to check some previews just in case, I'm surprised to see this, this wasn't my experience with them... I hope It will be the same good experience...

I've gotten so many calls from telehop. It's always the same person over and over again using a different accent every time. the caller ID always says unknown. I've told them so many times to stop calling but they just won't stop.

AS far as I know , no phone calls from the 416 494-4490. As above  first knowledge of the Telehop account was a bill in the mail. We did not ask for the service. I tried to explain it to their C.S. with no success. ( As above complaints.) I am curious why a phone call from their  C.S.  (Telehop) on the caller ID read BLOCKED from their company. I did talk to their C.S., they asked me to call back in one hour to speak to someone. I called back and was sent to their voice mail. I was not happy.

I was seriously thking to switch my phone and internet services to Telehop. But after reading thses comments of Telehop victim, it seems, telehop is a mean level company. When telehop dont get business then they send factitious bills to innocent people to get money for their CEO to spend summer on beaches.. Now I am clear why Telehop is asking pre-authorized payment on their website.
The result is TELEHOP is a fraud.

Back in 2008, Telehop signed me up for long distance plan without my consent. We were surprised to get long distance bills from them, instead of our regular long distance company. Initially, we thought it was a mistake, until we started to receive overdue notices. I called them, and they told me that we had switched our long distance calling to them. I challenged them to priovide proof; dates and time. Lo, and behold, the dates they claimed we switched, we were all in Europe; there was noone at home, but they still insisted, and send us a clip recording of the transaction. It was so embarrasing to them. The voice on the other side resembled noone at our residence, and most of the answers were in french (which we can hardly speak)...needless to say, I refused to pay arguing that I did not have ANY contract with them to provide me with ANY services. They threatened to send it to collectors, and I stood my ground and refused to pay. Their legal dept called me and I told them that I did not have a contract with them and therefore was NOT going to pay them ANYTHING, and if they sue me, I would countersue for changing my service without my consent, and therefore exposing my personal phone records to strangers.

After that I never heard from them again.

I just got off the phone with Telehop. They won't take no for an answer. they just keep saying my phone bill is now 8.99/month. I told them no, i got my bill and it was $30. I asked for a website and said i would not sign up for a service without talking to my family. he kept pushing until i said i don't like pushy telemarketers and hung up. I better not get any charges! never did I agree to any new service.

Lately I have been gettting calls from that number but just ingnoring it. But then I open up a my phone bill and I have been charged by Telehop on my recent Telus bill.  Never have I heard of or used Telehop!  Their customer service is a joke.  They are telling me that I am lying and that I indeed used a 10620 number before my long distance calls! I have Yak and I KNOW FOR A FACT that I didn't or anyone else in the home as I made the frickin calls. I asked to speak to a manager and they transferred me to a voice mail.  Nice company.  I believe they are a scam for sure.

I have had the same expereience as CJ and Amir.....But I actually found out who signed me up....it was a ladie working there by the name of Stacey....they said I signed up over 2 years ago mind you I do not make LD call and then when I did i recieved a bill....and then a collections notice for $8....I asked them to provide proof they said they would call me back within 24hrs nobody replied...and everytime I call people there cannot speak any english and tey keep transferring my calls...I ask for stacey directly she never ansewrs my call or returns my messages she is a lowly customer service rep something has to be done to keep dishonest people like this from working

Here are some tips on how to get rid of a collection agency if you do not owe any money.

Once they call you. google the phone number  and see what the company is.  

If the company is with the BBB you can file a compliant and get them to remove the number for this list

If the company looks has a good website you can email the head of the company and tell them to remove the number from there list if they do not say I file a complaint with the BBB


It has been working for me since I had three collection agency call my cell phone and I do not owe any money.

Allied Interstate: I filed a compliant with the BBB since they called me during Christmas Holiday

Then the other two companies I emailed and I have not recieved any phone calls from them since I sent the email

TELEHOP SUCK they charge you for a plan that you do not consent too and when you try to cancel they say that you local provider has to cancel but BELL canada has employees and just the same so you cannot win at all.

I have the same problem with telehop. They sent me a bill by email saying I owed for some calls, and I know that I absolutely did NOT sign up with telehop. After many emails to them which they did not respond to, I called their customer service. I spoke with a lady with an African accent who said that SHE had called me and that I had signed up for long distance service. I knew that I did not,  so I challenged them to provide proof. They ignored me. I called a few times again and finally connected with a supervisor, a Jamaican lady. She gave me a date when I HAD CALLED TELEHOP to sign up with telehop. This was a pile of BS.  That particular date I was away. I challenged them to provide a recording of the call. They finally sent me a clip of my young daughter CONFIRMING OUR TELEPHONE NUMBER. (A very short clip) I called them again and told them that the clip did not show anyone signing up and that in any case my daughter could not do it and DID NOT DO IT. I asked for a full recording. NO RESPONSE. Then I get a letter from a collection agency. Because I am a business-man and very busy, I decided to pay the bill just to get this frustration off my mind. Lo and behold a few weeks later I get the bill again from telehop. I emailed them twice to say it is already paid, but guess what? NO RESPONSE. They are calling now and harassing me. I AM CONVINCED THAT TELEHOP IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE. I think that all frustrated and defrauded Telehop victims should form a group and sue them. I have spoken to a lawyer already who advised me to get a few people together to make a stong case of a pattern of fraud, and intimidation (using the collection agency). I have the same problem as Amir.  Telehop signed me up for their services without my consent or me signing anything.  They have now sent me to collection and will not respond to my emails to correct their records.  Bell is my long distance provider and has verified this but Telehop says they are my ld provider?  I refuse to give them or the collection agency any $, I do not owe it?  They still have not closed my account after many calls and emails?  Any suggestions?

I would receive calls from various phone companies Telehop and its affiliated like 10-10-100 or 10-10-620? to sign up.  Even after rejecting they would keep on calling every month.  Once I said no the caller, he literally started to beg me to sign up.  I gave up trying always saying no to so many of these callers, so I signed up to tryout their service last year.  After several months of phone service, they changed their phone rates and did not inform me with any notice.  All of sudden I received a huge bill.  They told me, we put the notice in the bill.  Normally, I pay my bill by quickly glancing over the rates and the calls used.  To my astonishment they had added couple of lines right at the bottom of the bill with fine prints indicating the new rates.  When I called them about this the customer service was very persistent in saying we put it in the bill and they would not refund my money.  Who reads their bills even the fine prints specially if its not any obvious place.  It would have not cost them anything put the notice in obvious place or add another page to the bill they e-mail.  

Moreover, a friend of mine had signed up for this service as well.  They gave up on them as well, because Telehop was charging her extra on the bill for no reason each month.  She also went through two months of frustration to get the long distance provider changed.   By the way their rates are now more than Sprint and Bill rates now.  Also they charge extra for getting the invoiced mailed to your home.  I would never sign up with this or any of its affiliated companies ever.   Big No to Telelop.  Telehop sucks.

Telehop has been unfairly targeting me for their services. I have used Telehop through 1010620 number and they charged me for the calls I did not make. They asked me to join them at 1010100 number and I also did but they still did not reimburse me for the mischarges that they put on my previous bills. They called a Collection agency on me because they did not want to solve the issue.
I paid the collection agency to get rid of them but Telehop has sent me another bill with unexplained charges which I think is the collection agency fees. They also told Bell Canada to change my carrier without my permission. How can I protect myself against Telehop?
