I am getting extremely pissed with these people who keep calling and hang up on me when I tell them to take me off their calling list.  This last one actually cursed at me.  It is unbelievable that with the amount of money that we pay our telephone companies they are unable to help us lodge a complaint and make this stop. I am getting so many telemarketing calls that I may become a pioneer and get rid of all my phones, want to talk to me come and knock on my door.

They asked "Can I speak to the owner of the house?" and I said "No" and hung up on them. Apart from that, nothing else can be done about it in my opinion. They probably use some sort of internet phone number or whatever so that's pretty much it. Pricks!

Received a call from this number.  I picked and an East Indian Woman said she was calling about duct cleaning.  I said I lived in an apartment building and didn't have ducts to be cleaned.  I heard a male voice in the background saying you do have ducts.  I hung up.

Just ask them if they do pipe cleaning...

my daughter answered this call and a man asked to speak to the home owner wouldn't identify himself and when asked to leave a message he hung up, and then tried calling it back and the number is no longer in service?????

Live in Toronto, but rang long-distance so this is definitely a fake phone number.  Did not bother answering and they did not leave a message.   Noting all the complaints, this is definitely a scam.

I have now run out of room to block these air duct calls. This is sad. I think the telecommunications should allow us more room to block calls since they are too lazy to get on these b a s t a r d s

Got a call about 15 minutes ago - same old, same old - air duct cleaning.  I had answered as it looked very similar to an old friend's number so I answered.  However, as soon as they said air duct cleaning, I hung up.

got a call from the same number about 10 times, was asked about air, just hung up called back a min later and and call wouldnt go through what a SCAM

This number called I was asleep at time time taking a nap my young sister answered the phone. The guy starts asking her all these personal questions like where are her parents? How old is she? Stuff like that, I take the phone from her cause now I've woken up and ask who he is. The guy won't answer so I hang up. Call the number back from my cell to see how they answer like if its a telemarketer an the recording tells me the number has been disconnected. I'm freaked out!

Duct cleaning service calls from 416-530-3355 number- received calls 15 times already from the same number within few months - every time I've explained - we do not have ducts - yet calls are still comming - politely asked to remove our number from their calling list - nothing works - they are still calling us - help!!! our home number is on the "do not call" list and being re-registered every year.

Grow up Dude. I've had my phone number for 20 years. Anyone I've given it to has blabbed about privacy up and down. The reality is different. Any rogue employee in any organization can hand over your number along with thousands of others and sell it. That's how it works. Then, I end up receiving over 50% of all phone calls as marketing calls. Why should I have to get up to answer my phone, and waste my time, and impact my sanity. And why should I have to hand over $$$ to a Bell Canada who does jack s*** and pretends they cant source or stop these calls, or extorts more $$$ out of me for some call block service, which they are at the root of. And it is not reasonable for me to want to change my telephone number and incur the huge time, cost & inconvenience that entails. I don't owe anyone a living anywhere; I have enough of my own issues to deal with.

Boy, I am glad that I pay for a phone line, so that I can offer these Indian located folks - and local duct cleaners - an opportunity for a living. I am glad I also provide Bell Canada an income and other rogue employees from other companies who steal my phone number and sell it so that I can be bothered multiple times per day. Yes, that is all sarcasm.

THIS INDIAN GUY JUST CALLED ME AND I TOLD HIM I AM ON A DO NOT CALL LIST AND HE ASK ME WHO TOLD YOU THAT AND HANG UP AND I WANT HIM TO CALL HERE AGAIN I GOING TO TRACK HIS COMPANY !

Damn idiot coolies.  Wish they would get jobs as janitors or cabbies or chai-wallahs and stop bothering respectable citizens.  Telephone service should be disconnected to third-world countries.

WE should all say "Yes need your services" then when they show up (if they do) tell them F/O they have just wasted THEIR TIME as they have done to me.  In my case I live 2 hours away from TO.

WHY????  are you people getting bent out of shape over these calls .  What can they do to you over a phone line?  Unless you are "STUPID "enough to give out personal information. Play along with them and have some fun , maybe they will STOP calling.   If you want your ducts cleaned check the yellow pages.

These duct cleaning guys have been calling me on and off for months, we have told them to stop calling but they don't care.  It can be hard to avoid them because they spoof their number so a new one shows on the call display each time they call.  The only hint I get that it is a telemarketer is when a number with a local area code shows on the call display but the phone rings with the long distance ring tone. Apparently they aren't just annoying telemarketers but full on fraud artists.  CBC's Market Place did a report on them in January complete with hidden cameras.
