I received 8 calls from them between 3:45 and 6:30 yesterday alone. Twice I spoke to someone. The first time I politely indicated I was on the do not call list. Less than 10 minutes later they called again. This time I wasn't as polite. Any flagrant violations can be reported to the CRTC. Also I don't believe they are allowed to use automatic dialers anymore.I will check with the CTRC on that. I will also be emailing the company and lodging a complaint with the CRTC.

they called me EIGHT times this afternoon, with some calls as little as THREE minutes apart!!!

the one message that they left sounded like either heavy breathing, or snoring.  certainly NOT a way to get business.

the number has an automated attendant  that answers "welda windows", but the voice mail message says: "the office will be closed for the holidays until january 5th" - right!  not bad for february 20th, eh?

Welda Windows OFFICE hours are Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm.  They also have a seperate CALL CENTRE that works afternoon and evening shifts ending at 9pm. Hopefully this explains why the office is closed when you call in the evening.

Also, the CALL CENTRE is automated which means that the telemarketers are not calling you themselves 2 or 3 times a night but the computer is.  The computer automatically dials the numbers and when you answer the phone the computer sends the call to the first available telemarketer (sometimes when one is not yet available right away you get that dead air where you are saying hello? hello? a couple of times) if within a certain amount of seconds no telemarketer is available the computer cuts off the call and tries back later.  Unfortunately, they are annoying calls but it really is not the telemarketer's fault for the dropped call nor are they even aware that you had been called before.  Usually the telemarketer is a poor high school kid or retired person sitting at a computer station waiting for the computer to send a call their way so they can give their speech and try to book a lead for a few extra bucks.  They are not horrible people but yes, people with a horrible job but it is very tough out there especially when you are much older looking for a job or in school looking for extra cash.  I truly feel for those telemarketers.

Regardless, this does not excuse the fact that they are calling people who are registered on the DO NOT CALL list but this is not the telemarketers fault...simply ask to speak to someone in management (don't forget to let manager know that you are writing their name down with the date that you were called) and ask to have your number removed from their calling list (usually takes 24 to 48 hours) and that if you receive a call from them again that a complaint will be made to the proper authorities on this issue.  Yelling and screaming at the telemarketer and hanging up does not resolve this issue because as soon as you hang up the number gets recycled back into the list and the telemarketer doesn't even get the chance to write down the proper info needed to remove you from the list.

With regards to the product and workmanship they are very good from the work I have seen.  It is quite normal sometimes to have an issue (no one or no product is perfect) but that is what the warranty is for.  Welda Windows has an outstanding BBB record and if you really need windows or doors the company provides you with references of past customers (I'm not talking one customer or two but pages of customer names in your area that did work with Welda) so that you can contact them and check the work out yourself or hear about the experience the person had with the company.

As a previous customer of Welda Windows I am extremely satisfied with their work and services provided.  I did ask the rep about the annnoying calls and was actually invited to the office and call centre and boy was I wrong in my way of thinking like some people I have seen comment here.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion and this is mine...with no disrespect to anyone else that may have had a different experience than myself.

Yeah, strange. They call, I answer, they ask for me, I say, "Who's calling?" Then they hang up immediately. They've called like 10 times. Maybe some lame system where the boiler room guys are paid by the call or something. Do not call list -- what a joke...

Receiving 2 to 3 calls a day from them, typically after 5pm.  Some poor soul down the street has one of their signs on their lawn.  The window caulking job looked pretty rough.

I got a call or twelve from these people, I don't answer the phone routinely when I see one of these type of numbers. They never leave a message, and my question is....why would they hang up when you answer? If the purpose is to sell you something I mean. Seems fishy to me. Maybe, this is a competitor trying to screw up Welda's business?

They called, they asked for the homeowner, I responded that the homeowner wasn't available, they immediately hung up. I'm sure I'll get some more calls from them, too.

I got the same call from the same caller ID twice in one day! The first time they called they hung up immediately and the second time they called was at 9 PM! I called the number today and apparently they're offices close at 4PM! So something weird is definitely going on!

Welda Windows calls regularily and I'm so sick of it. If I answer the call, they hang up. When I call their number, I get a repeating switchboard message. I don't even bother answering my home phone anymore thanks to telemarketers.

received 2 calls from these people last night - called this morning to ask why they keep calling a "do not call list" subscriber only to be told that the company (Welda Windows) was closed for the statutory holiday! I left them a polite message questioning the closure as they interrupted my statutory holiday with their annoying calls.  Advised I would be contacting the appropriate ministry if I received any further calls.  Will it work?  I doubt it.

416-667-1444. Offering Windows and Doors, despite our being on the national Do-No-Call list, and having never done business with them in the past. Breaking the law much?

Guys I know why these companies call. Basically, when you apply to get a free quote from their website, they place you on their "calling list". But you must be saying, "I never asked for an estimate so where did they get your contact info?"

My theory is it is some company or individual who is supplying them "fake" leads (address, name, phone #, etc). Basically, giving them info of people who never requested for a free estimate or a quote. I imagine they are going through a 411 directory and randomly picking up address from the directory and supplying them to this company.

Why would some do that? Because they get aid for supplying leads. In this case they are fake and Welda Windows don't know that.
