My wife received a call at her school, where she works, from a Mr. Bandy 1-888-720-4911 ext. 6287 and when the schoolr reception asked what it was regarding they simply said, "She'll know what this is about." and hung up. If I understand the fair credit and collections act, they are NOT allowed to call places of business or your work. If they do it again we will file charges and then they'll owe US money. ;)

Trying to collect on a bogus on line advertisement invoice

Got a call at our business (in MN) from a woman who sounded drunk.  She said she was calling about an open invoice and used a very old address for our business.  When told that we had long since moved, she said she thought then that we did NOT have an open invoice and that she would "check on it right away and call me right back."  Wow, something to look forward to!!  Thanks to everyone for their experience info, I now await the call so I can ask her how it feels to go to work every day knowing you are scamming people.  

I received a phone call from this number- they said they were Luminous Air Make-up Products and someone had tried to call them from my number. Um, nope. Then I got a phone call again later from them asking for my husband's ex-wife.  Nice try, I just love the fact that the Iphone has a block caller feature. I have fondly added this number to my list.

They called a family member. They said we put her as a reference.

We owe no debt and have no credit cards. Really we dont spend money....

My Mother in NC called me today to let me know that a EUGENE ALRID called and left the number 888-720-4911 ext. 129.  This guy was wanting to get a hold of me to find out how to contact an ex boy friend of mine from 2000.   That is over 13 years ago!

They keep calling my job and I do not even know who they are.

John Griggs called from 888-720-4911 ext. 6419 asking for our daughter-in-law who happens to be out of town on vacation. He asked for a phone number to reach her. My husband got on the phone and asked how he obtained our house phone number. He replied "off the computer." when I checked the number on line and found all these people who received similar calls that was the icing on the cake. Mr. Griggs won't be receiving any calls or information from us. Let them scam someone else!

So glad I looked up this number!!!! I just recieved a call from Steve Dillard from URS at the number 1-888-720-4911 ext. 6299. They were trying to get in touch with me sister-in-law who lives in a complete different state than me. I luckily didnt have a rude person but still at the same time freaky that they knew it was a residence with my last name....totally creepy.

I receive a call at least once a day and they are rude and disrespectful.  I threaten hem with attorneys and such and they still call back.

I have also received a call from the same number and from another area code (360#). A lady started to misspell my last name. According to her, she sent out a letter to me but I have not received anything. She introduced herself as "Linda Scott" (apparently she goes by multiple fake names) and the reason she is calling is because she is having a personal business matter with me! When I found out she needs some information about me and not wanting to give out info about her company then I decided not to talk to this person as I have the right to do so. I have been a victim of identity theft in the past and don't want to experience it again!

Received a call from Jordan Sherwood today from 800-568-0399 but his call back # is 888-720-4911x6126.  He's looking for my ex-husband, but the way he went about it...Do you speak to him? Is this a valid phone # to contact him?  When going through my phone logs this number has called 5 times this week and it's only Thursday.

This # called my neighbor 3 houses down this week. Bad thing is I am a Realtor who has had hard times over the last year. Pay is really low this year. Gone through all my savings and now this. Trying to keep my head above water. The neighbor is also living in a property that I manage for the owner as a rental. She told me that a man called her asking for her husband. Her husband was at work so she asked if she could help him. He said that he was looking for my husband and it was highly urgent! They said our # had been disconnected and they could not reach us when that jack*** had been calling my cell # all week. The even call from a local # in SC where I live which is 843-628-0989 . It is a computer generated # they use to trick you into answering. I looked up this web site  http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.htm    It is the Fair Debt Collections Act. Everyone on this site can go after these idiots. I know we are surely going to find an attorney to handle this!!!!!!!

I received a call from this number today looking for someone who doesn't live here.  I told him as such--he asked me if I was the wife-I said no-he said 'write down this number and get a message to him to call me'.  I wrote down the number and then he hung the phone up on me--no goodbye, just a plain jerk--no other word for Mr. Parker.  Needless to say, this number is going in the garbage.

These people will call every relative in the book with your same last name. They will call your neighbors; they will call your employer. They will not stop. Diana at ext. 6252 obviously can't find a real job, or she wouldn't be doing the dirty work for this scam of a company. Report them to the Federal Trade Commission and your state's Attorney General. Send them a certified letter to discontinue communication with you. It is the only way you can legally get them to stop. This is illegal harassment pure and simple. They are not a valid collection company; they are scammers.

my sister got a call asking for me from a brandon olson of urs. he told her i had put her down as a reference for something, but did not tell her what? my sister told him she could take a message and he gave her the above # with ex; 6271. my sister called me and told me this, i then checked the number here to and found this. i told my sister that i never would give her # or name without asking her first.

Received a call from 888-720-4911 for my mother-in-law. Caller (Sholanda) wouldn't reveal the nature of the call, just that it was of a personal matter. Don't know what their scam is as we live in MD and m-i-l lives in a nursing home in TX. After reading the above comments I plan to block the calls.

received a call at work from 580-366-4864.called the phone number back and asked whom I was speaking to : a lady said URS and wouldn't say anything else.  I asked for her name and she wouldn't give it.  I asked for her address for this company.  She did not respond.  The person said they were from Dell collections. Was asking questions for name address. I asked why.  He said that he wanted to electronically record my response.  He used the term 7 to 10 days.... I asked what he was wanting... He kept telling me that I was not clear...  I didn't call back.  Called Dell. Dell claims here is a phone number to call 888-720-4911.  This phone number does not exist....  What is going on????  I am reporting them to the police for identity theft.... and the attorney general's office and FTC for fraud count...580-366-4864 is an unlisted phone number  strange....companies should identity themselves...

A guy named Tom (ext. 6291) called my dad from 1-888-720-4911. Tom was looking for my husband and when my dad asked if this was a collections agent, Tom outright lied and said no. He said he was from an aerospace design company. My husband has looked into schools which offer degrees in aerospace, so it's weird that they would find out something like that. My dad wrote down all the info and gave it to my husband, who plans on calling them back when he gets off work tonight--but in the meantime I did a reverse look up on the number and found out it's from URS. Is that even legal?

My mom got a call for me from a lady by the name of Gene.  She said she needed to speak to me about something regarding a financial matter.  She was relentless about getting my current number when my mom told her I hadn't lived there in over 12 years!  However, thankfully my mom didn't give her my number.  She gave my mom the number of 888-720-4911 x6171 from URS for me to return her call.  My mom warned her that I would most likely not return her call if I did not know who she was, since my mom couldn't understand how her number was the one listed.  Gene kept telling my mom that I had put her number down as the one contact number, but why would I do that since I hadn't lived there in over 12 years???  Also, my mom and I do not even have the same last name as I have been married after moving away so I am not sure how they found her number rather than mine or my inlaws.  After reading all of the comments on this website my mom blocked the number from her phone and is calling the Better Business Beau but I am not sure what will happen next.  It is very frustrating to have to deal with scamming messages like this!!  Several years ago when I was dealing with financial issues I would have believed that I might have a creditor after me ...I can only imagine that years ago I would have just called them back and complied.  Thankfully now I have hardly any debt so I know that I have no possibility of a creditor after me, plus I have never received anything in writing from this company.  It is definitely a scam!!

My wife got a call from Jennifer wanting to speak with my neighbor, who is a real estate agent, on a important matter. My wife, being a kind hearted person was nice enough to agree to put a not on her car with the 1-888-720-4911 on it thinking it was about a house. She told me this when I got home and I found it strange that this person would even know our # considering it is not in either of our names (mother in law wanted us to have a land line and got us one in her name, why? i have no idea) We do not even know this lady they wanted to talk to. We know her name because she has a sign on her car from Remax. Now it is a day later and my wife calls me at work to say a guy has called asking for me first, by full name, and then wondering how to find our neighbor. Ii get concerned on how these people get not only my #, but also my name. I call Jennifer at the 1-888-720-4911. She informs me that they need to talk to this lady so bad, that they look up any # in the area close to her and label them as "associates". It was not until I looked here that I found out they wanted her money and were willing to call perfect strangers to get it. I called the Jacksonville # above (thanks by the way) and ate that girl up. I told that chick that I was no more than a few hours drive away,and If I got anymore calls that I would personally come to their office and remove it with force. And I will. She sounded a bit shaken and told me it would be a few days for it to be removed from her system. I called BS as I work with similar type systems all day and it takes more time for a rabbit to crap than to run a simple SQL query for one #. I am not one to be toyed with. I don't give a rats as* if she is smoking crack while cooking meth and beating her baby for crying, it is not my concern. I have enough problems with my own debt and calls to deal with being some third party debt collector. I plan to do what I can to piss of these people. maybe I will start with their network security.....

My Neighrbors recieved a call today from David at 1-888-720-49-11 ext. 6238 asking for our family. Our Neighbors agreed, so they brought the number over. My mom was in the shower, so I called them back, and the guy had of course didn't give me no information. But I informed him not to call our work place, neighbors, relitives, cell numbers, anythin but our house, and hung out. How do we stop these calls from furthering?
