Rec'd a call at work from a "Manta Patel" with the number 416-784-5200 . She had an extremely thick Indian accent and she asked me if we wanted to keep our ad the same or update it. I asked her why our normal rep wasn't calling us for this and she said he was in training??? She had difficulty answering some of my questions so I asked her to send her request via email as I had a difficult time understanding her due to her thick accent. I've yet to get an email.

Asked in very poor English if I had my vehicle for sale.  Vehicle was advertised on Kijiji and Trader.ca, but was removed from both weeks ago.  Person didn't identify themselves at all.

I suspect they will be out of business soon...how can you run a business allowing free ads and NO one buys the magazine anymore...like why would you? I want information NOW, I go online and it's always fresh and current vs a magazine I have to go to a store to buy and it's already long out of date? Hello...that's a plan for Chapter 11!

got a missed call from this number, but not sure what its about???? No message( usually something important, a msg is left.)  no clue... any ideas?

Also have a listing on AutoTrader, so it may have something to do with them - or someone is cruising AT for digits

They charged 199.00 to my bank account. Had to kill a card, get a new one. 7 transactions in 2 days.

I do and it's about to expire and I've had two calls from that number today without messages. I suspect they want to renew my ad.

Yeah Right autotrader  charged me money to renew my ad// and did not renew it// it's gone now  and my money is gone too(( don't trust them!!! I'm so mad!!!!!

well I do not have an add with them or any trader magazine/website and they called me at 3:38 pm Nov 18/08

I also got a call from them.  I have an add on autocatch.com, so I guess they are trying to sell me add space.  Autocatch is free though.  I think there business model is hurting in the age of the interweb.

I have an ad on kijiji.ca selling my car, and I've gotten 3 calls from this number so far.  No ad with the trader corporation though.

Thank you for your transparency; it is much appreciated. The DNC FAQ Q#28 states "However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request." Can you confirm that TRADER maintains an internal DNC list of people who asks to be excluded from TRADER telemarketing, and does TRADER honor such requests?

I've been getting calls for the last 3 days from this #, I do have ads on Kijji/Autotrader but never gave out my cell! I won't answer as it's costing me, it'd be good to find out how to block it... I only had this cell# for 3 months and very few people know it so this is very weird...

I think it's fraud... I do not have an ad with auto trader and I'm getting daily calls from that number.  I do not answer because I know it'll be a waste of my time.  I do however have an ad on Kijiji and the Buy and Sell site.  

People need to learn that 99% of these calls are fraud... don't give them any info!  Auto trader and those sites do not call you.  The only reason these scams still exist is because people actually fall for them.

They called me and asked for credit card# and the 3 digit security# at the back.  so i think it's a fraud and I think this is somebody pretending calling from renter's news magazin.
