has called once a month for past 4 months.
Calling from the "Home Alarm Company"
Wants to know what type of alarm i have.
When I told him to put me on his do-not-call list, he said he does not have one.
When i told him to remove my number from his call list he refused  - said he can't.
I asked to speak to his manager, he told me to wait then the line went dead.
Its the same rude (indian accent i think) guy who calls every 6 weeks or so, and i would like to visit him face to face if anyone could lead me in the right direction.

This number is a scam to see if you have a alarm system in your house. They have phoned 3 times in the the last week. Will be reporting them. To CRTC if they call again

I kept trying to politely say 'No, I don't know who your company is and therefore do not feel comfortable/secure talking about this person information .. they kept pushing ... afraid they are thieves trying to find good house to rob.

They called today and hung up, no message. We like to play with sales people that call and give them false addresses and info. I hope they call again. I'm going to tell them where to meet me in a dark alley and see if they s%%t their pants.

Dont worry. They are a legitimate alarm company. I checked that with the BBB.

I am on the do not call list. This number is a cell phone (individual was obviously driving while making the phone call)...confirmed this with the RCMP. Individual asked if I had a home security system. Asked what the name of his company was...no reply. Could be Break and Enter theft ring....advise RCMP if you receive this call as it does not come up on the police system as a business number or registered business cell phone. I also have not received any mail in the last week before receiving this call, it is the end of the month and my bills should have arrived - advised Canada Post...my information that allowed these thieves to call me was probably stolen right from my mail box or the post office.

these people called several times.  Someone seems to be there but never speaks. What is their game?

Oops. That was a different call. The 4169003780 was earlier in the day and they were a regular telemarketer.

They called me telling me they were from Microsoft Windows and asked me to go through some checks on my comp to see if there were any malicious files. I never take these types of calls but thought I would this time. At one point he tried to get me to go to site that lets them take over my comp so their technicians could help me. I aborted at this point. There is only so far down the rabbit hole you can go before it starts costing you money!

They also told me I could call them back at 347-468-9508

I got a call from this number , it was s ome guy asking where my mother was and refusing to accept that she wasn't there and i didn't want to give him my name. I reported it to the company he was claiming to work for " Reliance Security Systems " i called the company and he said i am officially off the call list and if i recieve a call from this number again that i should hang up immideately ( i don't have caller Id so i can't screen calls )

Just received yet another call from this number and yet another person asking for my husband, when I said he's not available he asked to speak to his wife - he then tried to (yet once more) give me a free addition to my security system.  I told him I wasn't interested, he then tried to tell me that it's free; I told him I still wasn't interested in dealing with a strange security company and he couldn't understand why. My husband passed away over 10 years ago and I assured him that he hadn't registered us for any additional security equipment after the gentleman told me that he had.  I thanked him and said goodnight. I should have gone with my instinct not to answer, but I am having a hard time keeping track of all of the unwanted phone numbers showing up on my call display.  I'll probably get yet another call from them next week.Do not call list has turned into do not care list.

I answered one of these calls. Just standard telemarketing from overseas... long delay, little English, inability to answer anything not on script, won't reveal name of the company that hired them (they said "Home Security Alarm"). The entry in the Hitchhiker's Guide reads "Mostly Harmless".

I too have been receiving multiple calls from this number daily for the last two weeks.  I never pick up calls from numbers that I don't recognize.  I figure if it is important they will leave a message.  Same thing, caller never leaves a message and hangs up prior to the machine coming on.

They called me today and I got info from agent and immediately filed a complaint with the CRTC. Please visit    https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng   and do the same immediately after they call you. CRTC fines violators of the Do Not Call List for multiple violations/

Sounds like some1 is trying to find a house to break in to...maybe they're trying to make sure the people living at the house don't have high IQs so that they wouldn't know how to defend themselves/what actions to take to get robbers caught.  Once you have some1's home phone#, finding out their address is not too difficult.

I answered, he asked if we had home security, whether I was a student, and if my average was above 80. It was weird

Just got a call from this number. Have call display and NEVER answer "Unknowns", but was curious.
